Meet Anthony Stanci. Anthony here seems like a normal 18-year-old young man. You see, normal 18 year olds are struggling with graduation, college choices, maybe leaving home for the first time, and a dozen other things that make up teenage angst. Another prop of teenage life is some type of on-line account, ala MySpace, FaceBook and others. And Anthony here DID have a FaceBook. But what he used it for, was far, far from normal.
Anthony, of New Berlin, Wisconsin, was charged Wednesday with five counts of child enticement, two counts of second-degree sexual harassment of a child, two counts of third-degree sexual assault, possession of child pornography, repeated sexual assault of the same child, and making a bomb threat, all the victims from the sexual assault charges being MALE. But what does this have to do with FaceBook exactly?
Well apparently Anthony here created a FaceBook account under the false name of Kayla or Emily. Yes, folks, this asshat faked his gender on a social site. Strike one.
Once he gained their trust he would trick young boys into sending nude photos and videos of themselves, and later they would be forced into meeting a male friend of hers (Anthony himself) in order to perform sexual acts on each other, with threats that if they did not comply, those nude pictures would get sent to everyone at school and spread all over the Internet. Strike 2 and 3.
Also, prosecutors have said some these victims were as young as 15 years old. As this point, Anthony here should give up baseball all together. “The kind of manipulation that occurred here is really sinister in my estimation,” Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel told the Associated Press.
The kicker to all of this is that in the end it was Mr. Stanci himself who dug his own grave. Allegedly, Anthony e-mailed in a bomb threat to the New Berlin Eisenhower Middle and High School from the public library which caused the school to be closed down. While investigations were ongoing, one of his alleged victims went to police after Anthony had asked him to get nude pictures of his younger brother. At the same time, Detectives were interviewing Stanci about the Bomb threat at the school. After a round of interrogation, Anthony confessed to the emailed threat.
When police confiscated Mr. Stanci’s computer, they had found more than 300 naked photos and clips of his male classmates, and another 600 professionally-made clips on Anthony’s computer. Yeah, if he’s convicted, he’ll really need a new hobby.
Stancl made his initial appearance in court on Tuesday, February 4th, 2009, and was ordered held on $250,000 bail.
“In this court’s 7 1/2 years on the bench this is the most horrific complaint the court has ever reviewed,” Waukesha Circuit Court Commissioner Laura Florian Lau said. “The defendant is facing 293 years if convicted on these 12 counts. This is a crime allegedly that involved many, many, many victims. The court is extremely concerned as to whether defendant will return to court.”
Stanci’s lawyer, Craig Kuhary, told the Associated Press his client plans to plead not guilty. “It’s too early in the case for me to make a statement, other than the fact at some point we are going to go into events that had taken place earlier that might have had some impact on what he did here,” he said.

Not that this absolves this asshat of guilt…but why would the girls send nude pics of themselves to other females.? Regardlesss this loser is perverted and idiotic. You would think that in this day and age anyone would know the consequences of a bomb threat. That is just idiotic and what was the point of that anyway???

Actually, it was my bad….how’d I miss that? Well, it’s fixed now. This is a great story – it takes a special kind of creep to come up with this scheme, and actually carry it out. I guess it’s better than pulling a Columbine, but he must have hated his classmates pretty bad.

Of course the defendant’s lawyer is going to come up with sob stories about how he was abused as a kid… that’s easily anticipated.
However, he is an adult and responsible for his actions.

First off, great write-up Tito. Good details and interesting story. This asshole (Stanci) was a blatent manipulator, liar, predator-all at the ripe age of eighteen. Stanci was extremely calculating in his execution of abuse toward children, and he used technology to do so. This story is a good reason to try to monitor what your children are doing on the net.
I dont think Stanci can be rehabilitated. I am concerned that this prick will get out of custody and then cotninue to prey on others, probably more children, and eventually start killing them, too. He is a real, real, bad person. He needs to remain in custody for life or be killed in my opinion. Wow.

I go to that skool. There’s a threat every year to get a day off and there were 2. The first one was written on a bathroom stall and wasn’t working. My guess is that he sent a email so they would be threatened and close the skool

What a creepy little scumbag. He will get a piss weak sentnece where he will be made to do some ” sexual offender ” rehabilitation, which will not make a tad bit of difference to his pedophile disposition at all. He will then be released into society and the system will check up on him now and again, but he will more than likely fall through the cracks and will reoffend. The next time will be much worse though and his behaviour will escalate. Then everyone will pass the blame around and his victim will be left to pick up the peices.

I go to the same school as him and have known his younger brother nick for a few years. Anthony pushed him in to a wall and broke his collar bone. Nicks a good kid and doesn’t deserve the things people say to him at school. High schoolers don’t use the word rape anymore, they use stancled. It’s a real shame

However, the girls who set him up by pretending to be a student Tony was attracted to and who outed him to the whole school are filthy little cunts. A more usual response for a gay kid under those circumstances would probably have been suicide.

This is downright disgusting. What is wrong with people? Really, who in their right mind would do something like this? Was he really that bored? I’m not sure that one is really worse than the other. Drew just got more publicity. They both deserve to rot for the things they’ve done! Nobody should manipulate children into ANYTHING like either case and get away with it!
Stancl [not Stanci] pleaded no contest to 1 felony count of repeated sexual assault of a child and 1 felony count of 3rd degree sexual assault. He was sentenced in February 2010 to 15 years.
As a side note, according to the Urban Dictionary, the word “stancled” now means:
The act of a homosexual male impersonating a female on a social networking site in order to obtain nude photographs of other males. Example-
“Hey man you wouldn’t believe this… the hottest senior just asked me to send her a picture of my genitalia then she told me she wanted to meet me in the bathroom tomorrow during lunch!”
