Lamaricus Davidson, Letalvis Cobbins, George Thomas, Vanessa Coleman, and Eric Boyd
Young love. Think back to a time when life was easier and you had fewer responsibilities. Maybe you had to muster up the energy to cram for finals in between the keggers and the road trips. That part-time job at the local T.G.I.Fridays had to have been a real bitch, also. Especially when you had to miss a night out with the friends in lieu of passing out corporate slop food to a bunch of people in mid-life crisis who don’t tip for crap.
Aahh yes, the trials and tribulations of being young. But, hey, do you remember that feeling of being young and in love? Damn if someone could bottle that and sell it, I know I would buy it instead of my usual pint of Jack Daniels. The magic and the innocence, the happiness and wonder that is shared between two people prior to becoming jaded by a world that becomes more and more saddening and sickening as one gets older. Young love, nothing like it.
Christopher Newsom, 23 and Channon Christian, 21 were young and in love. Channon and Christopher, both college students had just begun dating in November 2006. Channon was employed as a Medical Assistant and was a Senior at the University of Tennessee, majoring in Sociology. She loved helping people and truly believed that people were in essence, good by nature. Christopher was also a student at the University and was described as a talented athlete, especially when playing baseball. Both Christopher and Channon had bright futures ahead of them with limitless possibilities. They were not into drugs; they called their parents when they were running late. They were just good kids, you know?
Being young and in love, Channon and Christopher did what most people in their situation do in our society when smitten with one another- they went on dates. They shared meals, watched movies, and hung out with mutual friends. Unfortunately, on January 6th, 2007, what began as a casual Saturday date between the two manifested into a horrific nightmare that would leave Christopher and Channon tortured, mutilated, and ultimately dead. The horrors that were to meet these two young, promising individuals were so vile and evil that I cannot fathom what would make another human think that it is okay to commit such atrocities against another living being. No excuses, dope or insanity could make me understand why. Read with caution. Not for the faint of heart.
After Christopher and Channon went out to dinner, Channon called her Mother at approximately 12:30 am to let her know that she would be home later than she had promised because she and Christopher were planning on visiting some friends off of Washington Pike. They were planning on watching movies and hanging out. Channon told her Mother she loved her and neither one of the two suspected that this would be the last conversation which they would share. Channon and Christopher never made it to their friend’s house. Instead, they met up with a hideous bunch of human scum that makes the “Devils Rejects” look like the “Get Along Gang”.
By all accounts, the young couple was driving in Channon’s Toyota 4-Runner when they were carjacked at gunpoint by Lamaricus Davidson, his brother, Letalvis Cobbins, and their friend, George Thomas. All career criminals, these douche bags would later report to authorities that they intended to car jack the couple, but later, their plans changed, evolving into something more hellacious and sinister. Davidson, the reported “ringleader” of the group was a convicted felon who had previously done time for aggravated assault and armed robbery.
The group didn’t take Channon’s car. Instead, they decided to bound, gag, and force the young couple into their vehicle at gunpoint. They then drove Christopher and Channon to Davidson’s and Cobbins’ rented home located at 2316 Chipman Street. At the home, the group was then joined by Cobbin’s fugly and nasty girlfriend, Vanessa Coleman and card-carrying loser, Eric Boyd.
According to court statements, while Channon was subdued, she was forced to watch as Davidson, Cobbins, Thomas, and even Coleman took turns raping Christopher prison style for several hours. Some accounts indicate that Christopher’s penis was brutally severed by the group, but this turned out to be untrue. Medical Examiners stated that Christopher, barefoot, was then dragged outside the house to nearby railroad tracks where his clothing was doused with gasoline and he was set on fire. Christopher was then shot multiple times in the back, neck, and head. The group left his dead body on the railroad tracks.
With Christopher gone, the group of toilet scum then focused on Channon, who probably could not have anticipated the horrors which she, herself was about to face for the next few days. Yes, days.
From the early hours of Sunday morning until Tuesday, Channon was savagely raped and sexually tortured by the group. They took turns raping her vaginally, orally, and anally, assaulting her with foreign objects repeatedly, causing injuries so extensive that they were classified as mutilations by the Medical Examiner. According to the County Coroner, “Channon suffered extensive injuries in the genital region and mouth, including the tearing of the membrane that connected her lips to her gums.” Some reports indicate that one of Channon’s breasts was cut off, also. Again, not true. To add to the degradation, the group then took turns urinating on Channon, probably as she begged for her young life to be spared.
According to court documentation, Channon, at some point was forced to drink bleach while still alive because her assailants wanted to get rid of any DNA evidence that would incriminate them. Channon was then hog tied with strips of curtain and bedding. Her face was tightly covered with a small trash bag and while still alive, her body was shoved into larger trash bags and placed in a trash receptacle inside of the kitchen. According to the Coroner:
“It was a slow asphyxia death….my conclusion was she actually died in the trash can.”
For several days while Channon was being tortured and raped, several individuals came and went from this residence. Several of these individuals, like Davidson’s girlfriend, Daphne Sutton, stated that they had no knowledge of the crimes which were being committed against Channon, who was being held in the bathroom.
Reports indicate that Davidson, being the hopeless romantic that he was, gave his girlfriend, Sutton, Channon’s jewelry as a “gift”. Sutton was reported to have been prancing around in Channon’s jewelry at the home on Sunday. Of course, later on when investigators became involved and identified the “gifts” as stolen items belonging to Channon, Sutton swiftly turned them over to authorities because she wanted to do the right thing. What a great person, huh?
After Channon’s parents did not hear from their daughter, they filed a missing persons report Sunday, and urged Christopher’s family to do the same. Before the ink could dry on the missing persons report, Christopher’s body was found alongside railroad tracks between Ninth and Cherry Street by a railway worker. Channon’s parents continued their search for their daughter and with the assistance of her mobile carrier, on Monday, they were able to locate her abandoned 4 Runner on Glider Avenue, moments away from the Chipman home where she continued to be tortured and raped. Now, I know that I am not part of the FBI’s Behavioral Science unit or anything like that, but it seems to me that if the car was abandoned, no one was interested in the car. That then leads me to believe that Davidson, Cobbins, and Thomas from the get go, planned to abduct, rob, rape, and murder the young couple.
Anyhow, Investigators were able to pull a fingerprint from the 4 Runner off an envelope found inside the vehicle. In a short amount of time, they were able to identify the fingerprint as belonging to Davidson. Tuesday morning, a search warrant was obtained and investigators arrived at the Chipman residence to discover Channon’s dead body, wrapped in plastic bags, still located in a trash can in the kitchen. None of the perpetrators were present at the time which the warrant was served. Police began an active search, naming Davidson and Cobbins as “persons of interest”.
On Thursday morning, authorities in Kentucky located Cobbins and Thomas hiding out like cowards in a residence located in the City of Lebanon. They were taken into custody. Davidson and Boyd knew that the police were after them, so they broke into an abandoned home a short distance away from the Chipman residence. They hid out at that location that day, avoiding authorities. It was not until Boyd was running the bitch errand of getting food for Davidson that he was stopped by Officers and began singing like a little bird.
Less than one hour later, Davidson was in custody. Initially, Coleman was identified as a witness to the brutal tortures and murders of Channon and Christopher, but her special group of “friends” quickly turned on her, naming her as an active participant in the slaying of the two young lovers. This resulted in Coleman’s apprehension and indictment along with the rest of them.
To date, Eric Boyd has been the only one to face trial, and was found guilty in April 2008 as an accessory to murder. Specifically, for his role in aiding Davidson in his efforts to evade authorities. Boyd received a whopping sentence of eighteen years. Just to show you how compassionate Boyd was, throughout the trial, he was spotted taunting and antagonizing Channon and Christopher’s family members, smiling and laughing in their faces at their gut-wrenching loss and sorrow.
As for the others, their respective Attorneys have done a stellar bang up job at postponing and delaying their trials for almost two years. Of course, they want to ensure that the accused receive the utmost levels of justice and fairness this system has to offer. How comes it seems that this concept of fairness and justice is reserved solely for the pieces of shit who commit such horrendous crimes while the victims families continue to suffer?
Lemaricus Davidson, George Thomas, and Leviticus Cobbins, have been indicted with forty-six separate charges for their roles in the torture, robbery, rape, and murder of Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom. Vanessa Coleman is being charged with forty separate charges, similar to those of Davidson, Thomas, and Cobbins, minus charges of car jacking.
It should be mentioned that there has been a great deal of controversy surrounding this case in the media and people from various groups who serve to propagate their own agendas have twisted and perverted the facts, losing sight of the real issues at hand. I am not even going to justify some of the crap that I have read associated with this story, as it is agenda-based, slanderous, and completely superfluous to the real issues at hand.
Plain and simple, the truth here is that two young and innocent people were tortured, violated, degraded, and ultimately murdered by a group of vile, sickening, law breaking convicted criminals who should have already been behind bars for their previous acts against humanity. Two people who should have enjoyed their lives, their new found love, and all that the world offers to those who are young and idealistic.
Channon and Christopher should have seen their graduations from the University as a reward for their efforts. I bet none of those pieces of shit responsible for this senseless crime could even spell University, let alone know what it is like to be accepted into one. Cheap shot, maybe. What ultimately pisses me off is that these criminals displayed such an overt sense of entitlement that they felt that it was fine to savage, rob, rape, and murder two individuals who were better people than them, smarter people than them, and deserved to live their lives more than them.
Davidson, Cobbins, Thomas, Coleman, and Boyd are completely void of all that is decent, humane, or right. And, as for the numerous people who came and went from the Chipman residence while Channon was being tortured and raped, fuck them too. They should have stood up for what was right. All of the people involved could have done something to stop these crimes. They are all responsible for Channon and Christopher’s untimely deaths. All of the people that were involved in any capacity with this crime possessed free will, just like you or I. They all had the power to do what was right at anytime. They chose not to. Or, maybe they were incapable of doing so, who knows.
Ultimately, this collection of septic scum are proof that hell does exist on earth. My heart goes out to Channon and Christopher’s families, I can’t say it enough. Stay strong for the memories of your children and may you find some sense of closure and semblance of peace.

She mentioned the made up controversy created by some special interest groups. I won’t get into either, but all you have to do is take a look at the pictures and you can figure out it involves race. All I will do is quote the official response to the controversy.
“There is absolutely no proof of a hate crime,” said John Gill, special counsel to Knox County District Attorney Randy Nichols. “We know from our investigation that the people charged in this case were friends with white people, socialized with white people, dated white people. So not only is there no evidence of any racial animus, there’s evidence to the contrary.”
Gary Christian, Channon’s Father, had this to say about the many racially motivated rallies that have been held in Knoxville.
“I don’t like anybody using my daughter,” Gary said. “Everybody go home, Get this court over with. Let the people pay for what they did.”
So please, honor this grieving father’s request and stay away from those issues. There’s plenty of websites to go to if you really feel the need – just Google the victims or the suspects and you’ll find a plethora of them. I realize I’m costing this site a lot of potential traffic, but my conscience won’t allow things to be any other way.

Well, this was an amazing write up, Poptart1… It killed me to read it. I remember hearing about this when it happened- it really struck a nerve then, and having all the details now, it’s worse than I thought. I just do not understand what happens in a persons mind when they decide (as a GROUP!) to do something like this to people who are just minding their own business. Hell, even if they WERE NOT minding their own business. How do these shitty, hateful people find each other? MY heart goes out to these families, and I have to ask just why in the hell the piece of shit Boyd only got 18 years. That’s unreal, man.

The solution to racism isn’t more racism. I look white, but I’m of several different races, breeds and creeds, it makes me neither greater or lesser because of my component parts. No particular people are without sin, whether it be African Blacks who spawned the cabociero (which means headman or prince, but really became slave taker in the vernacular. More black men and women owe other black men for their ancestor’s slavery than white men.) or whites descended from the purist of lines. There is no racial superiority. There is no gene that makes a white man smarter, a black man faster or an Asian man better at math. The solution will be ignoring race and focusing on ability. Blasians will not dominate Golf because of their race, nor will Whaltinos become the Hockey players to depose the Canadians. The solution will be when regardless of race, the achievements of an individual will be a credit to their own struggles, not merely those of an artificial color.

I believe the only other time I felt this raw about a crime that didn’t involve a child was when I read about that poor man who was dragged to his death behind a car. Reading about how they had to collect his teeth, fingers and other parts from the blood trail in the street before they could identify him was worse than just about anything else I’ve ever read. That man was black, and the driver was white. THAT had to do with race, but I as a white woman still felt just as nauseous and horrified. So yah, the outrage is the same.
When you reduce this crime to black vs. white, you reduce its shock value, honestly. If you think of it as a human vs. human crime, we’re all potential victims and it gets a lot more terrifying.

I do believe this crime was racially motivated and I don’t care at all that some members of the group dated or were friends with white people. The white people they dated or were friends with have all been shown as trashy, ignorant, and vile as the group itself. Channon and Chris, on the other hand, were good looking, intelligent, and took pride in both their appearence and attitude. That kind of personality always make people like the members of that group angry. The defendents themselves betrayed their own “we’re not racist” defense by constantly referring to the victims as “white boy and white girl” or by bringing race up repeatedly, such as George Thomas demanding a new trial because his jury only had two black people and this HAD to be the reason he was sentenced to life. Was he aware that Lemaricus Davidson’s jury had 4 black members and he received death?
This will all be over soon. Only two more trials to go. And when I say 2, I mean Vanessa Coleman’s trial and then Eric Boyd’s retrial. A lot of people are angry that Eric only received 18 years, but what you fail to realize is that he was only tried on the car theft. The attorneys needed more evidence against him as far as the rapes, torture, kidnapping, and murders went. They put him away nice and swiftly with the grand theft auto charge and were even able to get the silly little Muslim to sing like a bird. Of course, they couldn’t use what HE said against him, so they waited for the trials of his little friends, also as stupid as he, to testify on what his involvement was. So now, he will be tried for accessory to murder and also rape, kidnapping, torture. Just have to be patient… we’ve got 18 years to put him away for life, so there is no hurry.
And congratulations are in order to both Channon and Chris’s parents. Apparantly, after being sentenced to maximum security prison for life, both Cobbins and Thomas were sent to the same MEDIUM security prison, where they were hanging out, raping each other (we know they enjoy male on male action, as told with the evidence about Chris being raped) and thinking they could live happily ever after together. WRONG! Gary took care of that real quick LOL. Not only were they seperated, but they were both promptly sent to their rightful home of MAXIMUM security prison, where they will both be locked up 23 hours a day.

I will admit that while I was reading this it screamed HATE CRIME to me. Im sorry, but i dont think there are enough words to describe the absolute horror that i felt when reading about the last days of these two. You wonder how people can commit such henious crimes, and yet they do…all the time. My heart goes out to the parents. Losing a child must be a terrible thing. But to have it happen like this…to know that your son/daughter was raped and tourtured for days and hours…I pray i never have to deal with such a thing.
I was kind of taken aback a few months ago when I came across an article regarding hate crimes. Specifically the part nothing that “caucasions are not covered by the law”.
Basically meaning that if a “white person beats/maims/attacks/verbally abuses a person of “ethnicity” they will be convicted and spend double the time incarcerated than if a person of “ethnicity” commits the same crime against a “white” person its basically cut and dry. There will be no other charges filed in the way of “hate crime”.
I am absolutely NOT racist in any sense of the word; however, how many times do you hear about a group of white kids dragging a young ethnic couple from their vehicle and torturing them. Cant say its anywhere near the amount of times Ive heard of it or similar acts being committed on white people.
I guess this just struck a nerve with me because of the whole equality thing. You wont ever meet a black person who hasnt played the race/discrimination/unequal card. I mean for christ sakes wheres the white NAACP? Wheres White History Month? What about White Civil Liberties? Imagine the Supreme Court cases that would be pending if there were a White History Month. Imagine the riots if there was an organization such as the NAACP for whites. I recall reading an article about a highschool in California where the “white kids” started an after school club for themselves, and was ordered to be disbarred; yet, the blacks could continue their all black club, as could the hispanics. Equal? I think not.

Honesty is always welcome on PYSIH min_duhh. Let me tell you why I’m so sure this not a Hate Crime.I was planning on doing this story myself – I even had it partially written when Poptart1 reminded me she had sent a story in about these clowns. I did A LOT of research on Hate Crimes. because The sites which were promoting that theory had initially sent me on a wild goose chase. It wasn’t until I found it on sites that used antisemitic and racially derogatory language that I became suspicious of the Hate Crime angle.
It turns out that to be a hate crime, a crime has to be racially motivated. In other words, if I decide I want to kill someone, and I go out and shoot 5 Black children, that’s not a Hate Crime. But if I go out and intentionally target minority children, and kill those same 5 Black kids, I’ve definitely committed a Hate Crime. That’s why our suspects’ relationships with White people prior to the crime was so important. It shows that these dummies weren’t predisposed to hate White folks. I’m leaning towards a carjacking that went very, very bad. I think once they saw Channon, one of them, probably Cobbins or Thomas, decided to have some fun and the others ran with it. These guys were hardened ex-cons, and didn’t need a reason to do what they did other than they wanted to and they could.
Id class this as a hate crime for sure. But not a racially motivated hate crime. This was about hate for the human race. Anyone who can commit such a horrible crime cant have any love in them. Therefore their actions are about hate….

But I think you may be overreacting a bit. No seriously, I have read other posts of yours, and I almost get the feeling that you are tapping your foot waiting for someone to say “something” so you can jump in and attack.
I tend to hold people at their word unless they prove otherwise. And Duh says s/he is not racist. Maybe s/he is still a little, but you know, habits die hard, and it has only really been 30 or 40 years that our society has been absorbing the concepts of civil rights. Most of our parents (and maybe some of us, even) remember segregation from a personal level. But each successive generation seems to have made great progress in incorporating the concepts of equality into their mental schemas.
Anyway, bad social policies during this time have really not helped the situation. While the balance needed to be tipped in favor of minorities initially, it has gotten out of hand. And I think that it has gone way too far, and many people (including some minorities) are sick of it. We are constantly bombarded with stories that illustrate a basic lack of fairness – stories which show that minorities have a different “loaded” set of rules. I think what has gotten under the skin of many people is not “racism” itself, it’s how that term is applied. As in – when someone (NOT YOU) says – well we should give them a break, because they have been “held down by the man” or other equally obnoxious things. As if that somehow gives them a pass to deliberately break laws or harm others. When people give a nod to their “culture” as though it somehow gives them more leeway. Not everyone is able to express these frustrations well, so sometimes it comes out as insensitive or overgeneralization, but I think most people (at least here on PYSIH) are genuinely just disgusted with the circumstances.
And, this same argument goes for white criminals as well. When we hear about how some baby-raper should get leniency because he was sexually abused as a child himself, it is no less disgusting than giving a pass for ethnicity.

The biggest problem with “hate crime” as a theory and a law is that most violent crimes are rooted in hate.

Hate crime laws are bad laws. They drive a bigger wedge into society than we already have.They are “feel good” laws – created to make people feel like they are doing something to combat racism, when in fact they are accentuating the problem.

This story has picked up so many flat-out “lies and exaggerations” as it has made its way through the gauntlet of the media spins. Mostly, from various groups that are racially-motivated (both black and white).
Thanks to Max for adding his research, editing, and fact-checking. This was a tough story for many reasons and I hope that instead of bringing a bunch of racially motivated controversy, people see the big picture and view this for what it really is. This was a crime against humanity committed by others because they thought they were entitled to do it. They thought they should be able to rape, murder, and torture two people and they did it together. I just don’t understand that sense of entitlement.

I do believe that everyone that came in and out of that house should be charged as an accessory. 2 Major points I want to make
1. We do not need “hate crme” laws at all! We need to punish people for real crimes and sentence accordingly, with hate motivated crimes recweiving a stiffer sentence. Thus if I spray painted “kilroy was here” or “Nigger” “kike” etc… I am guilty of VANDELISM. But “kilroy” would net a lesser sentence than a swastika because “kilroy” is just grafitti, while the swastika has a more evil purpose.
Also it seems that these POS are goingto escape the “hate crimes” because they have white friends? I have a few black friends that are wonderful people, but I could hate other black people who resemble apes…. I have some Italian friends, but I could also hate those who are more oily than my driveway, etc….. the real question is did these POS feel any joy because they were doing it to white people? Would these POS feel the same joy if their victims were black?
2. The nature of these crimes are so henious that the crimes themselves should net the death penalty. From there Satan can determine how hot the fire should be.
Lastly.. it took a day to get a warrent????? PUSSIES – probably cause – Channon may have had a chance at life! The police should be sued as well….. the vehicle was found on Monday, the finger print, but had to wait until Tuesday for the warrent??????

This crime just happened in my hometown of Wilson NC. I wanted to write this up and send it here or Dreamin Demon but it again had racial ramifications, implications, and well, it would cause a shit stir.

Brittney was robbed, kidnapped, raped and dumped in a construction site. Three young men were arrested. Two black and one white.
No one in this town considered race playing any part in this crime. We just all grieved for all of the families involved. The Willis’ lost their daughter but these three young men had families that were suffering because of their actions, too. Not to mention what they inflicted upon their own lives.
However, the NAACP came to town, held marches and fund raisers. THEN it became a race issue.
I’m not going into details. Read it if you’d like. But it is a shame that our town was literally divided for a long time because of the statements and acts of a racial organization.

This crime did not meet the legal definition of a “hate crime”. It certainly met the social and ethical definition, but not the legal one.
In layman’s language, the crime must be motivated by a bias against a particular group. And it is not only white on black that is considered under the law. A relatively large number of black on white crimes qualify.
So, did these scumballs commit these crimes just because the victims were white? Probably not. The fact that they have white scumball friends would indicate that their “hate” was just general hate. Their victims were chosen because these animals had the opportunity, and not simply because the victims were white people. Did it make them more excited that the victims were white? Possibly, but that’s not the point.
Now, just to put this into perspective, I remind you all of the West Virginia trailer scum (Frankie Brewster and her sicko family) who tortured a young black woman. Despite black leaders screaming racism and hate crime, these inbred slimeballs were not charged with hate crimes. Why? Because the woman they tortured was actually the on/off girlfriend of one of the perps. So, the reason for the torture was because the sick turd family had the opportunity, not because the girl was black. I have been a long time lurker. I have actually read ALL the articles here and fell in love with Admin’s writing personality. I think that everyone has done an amazing job keeping the site up for those that have become an addict. Ronnie- you started out OK, but then ya kind of lost it. IF blacks commit more crime than whites (and that statistic is subjective) why do you suppose that is? Could it be because blacks are socioeconomically disadvantaged? THOSE statistics don’t lie. White, black, native American, Asian – it makes no difference, poverty is the number one cause of criminal behavior. So, perhaps we need to examine why more blacks live in poverty proportionately than whites? Perhaps there are ways we can help blacks to get out of their ghettos and become productive members of society – rather than just getting rid of all of them?

A hate crime MUST be a crime which is perpetrated solely on the race or ethnic background of another. Those statistics that he quoted do exist. They don’t tell the whole story though of course. The only thing we can do is try and remind people that what they see on the surface does not necessarily mean what they think it does, and hope that some of our words stick and maybe make people think a bit deeper.

I am reading transcripts of the interviews with Vanessa Coleman right now. A lot of the interviews are on different media websites. It is heart breaking to read.. this has to be one of the most horrendous cases I have ever read about.
It is similar to the “Wichita Massacre” with Jonathon and Reginald Carr… what sick freaks.
I know, Lanie. Amazing what people do to other people. I have read the transcripts and Vanessa makes me sick. She is obviously lying and the Judge in this case recently made the decision to allow the prosecution the right to use her own interrogation against her. The one which has been published is actually the fourth time she talked to the investigators, changing her story everytime…..fisrt having nothing to do with anything, the investigators even put her up at a hotel as a witness, initially. Until the rest turned on her, like they always do.
She is disgusting and sick like the rest of them and I believe whole heartedly that she was an active participant. More is coming out everyday and I will definately be following.

I am so sickened by everything to do with this crime. I also believe that they stopped a car and saw two vulnerable people and took advantage. The flip side of this is that I also think that they got some pleasure out of doing this to 2 privileged white kids. The white people that they associated with were scum as well. They were taking their hate out on good kids that never would have associated with them.
I agree with you Lew, except I think that the “privileged” part was more important than the “white” part. They had rage, and that rage was clearly against anyone who was not a loser like them. Had the people they found been two educated middle-class blacks, the result would probably have been the same.
People like this have convinced themselves that everyone else in the world is responsible for their failures, but they know deep down that THEY have blown the opportunities that all of us get no matter how bad our environment. And when they are faced with anything that confirms that they are responsible for their own failures, it really pissed them off – and they lash out. I think that’s what happened here.

I agree with almost everything that you said Mazzi, they were more after the privileged part. But, when people are this despicable they no longer seem to find anything wrong with their behavior. I don’t think that they hated themselves. They were too busy making excuses for why they were allowed to act the way they acted. You see it in black scum, white scum, latino scum, and so forth. I would also like to know when we became a society that allowed people ample opportunities to steal and terrorize people. These were all young kids but yet they still all had long rapsheets. I am Native American and have been called a prarie n****r my entire life by the members of the mostly white populated communities that surround the reservation I grew up on. These people were disgusting racist pigs that followed the natives around the stores and randomly searched them and accused them of stealing. While this was happening to the Natives PUBLICLY, the Minonite/Hutterites were slipping perfumes & chocolates under their dresses and walking out of the stores. Yes, I seen it with my own eyes. My point is no matter where you go there is a sense of racial superiority. Off the rez natives were treated like crap, on the rex whites get treated like crap & the projects vs Beverly Hills. I live in Alaska where the torture and mistreatment of the natives did not happen in the epic proportions as it did in the lower 48, and racism is alive & well here today. Maybe this crime was racially motivated in the sense these 5 jerks saw 2 innocent, blonde, and in their opinion weaker victims. So what if it is racially motivated. It has to do with 5 murderes, not an entire race. It is a shame and I am numb after reading this expertly written article, great job PopTart1. I see 5 assholes using any excuse to do what was more than likey sexually/racially/sadistically motivated. Point is 2 young beautiful, innocent people died here at the hands of 5 murderous, vicious, cocksuckers that happen to be black. I’m glad I’ve been brought up to be color-blind (not physically, you’ll see what I mean in a minute.) It doesn’t matter what color you are on the outside, it doesn’t matter what race, creed, nationality, or gender you are, we are all the same color under our respective skins. So these crimes don’t need to be thought of as racially motivated. ALL crimes against any human being is a hate crime. It takes hate to rape, hate to kill without provocation, hate to abuse a defenseless child, hate to assault another human. Whether hatred of yourself, or hatred of the other individual, it doesn’t matter. Hate poisons your mind and your soul. It destroys who you have the potential of being. Just because you are black or white, Hispanic or Asian, it doesn’t matter. You can rise above the hate around you or you can sink to the depths of others’ hatred. Your decision, not anyone else’s. Look it is hard not to pull the race card… I was in knoxville when this happened down the street from my friends home… and all of knoxville got racist and still is.. and you can not tell them not to be… It sickens me that such an atrocious, malicious thing happened in my home town… and yeah i shared my racial slurs.. i am even amazed due to all the circus acts they did not move this trial out of town..but seriously where can it go? i witnessed the protests.. i had friends on both sides… when it hits in your hometown it is a hard one to swallow and you too will question your beliefs… hate is bred not born… and that is one hell of a breeding ground

I was raised by a Jewish attorney to hate anyone who isn’t straight, white and/or Jewish. From petty, random comments about “stupid N****s’ and why the ‘Japs’ shouldn’t be allowed behind the wheel of a car to all-out lectures about why I couldn’t go to prom with a “Dirty Mexican who will probably rape you”, he drilled it into me for as long as I can remember.

Geez, so many people are hung up on the race issue (which technically isn’t an issue, as we all bleed red, right?) ALL CRIMES ARE HATE CRIMES. When one man kills another man, it is a hate crime. When a woman kills her child(ren) it is a hate crime. When a moron commits arson, it is a hate crime. In order to commit a crime, you must either be desperate or filled with hate. Usually, the individual is filled with hate. Get it through your heads, everybody, EVERY crime commited against a living being, i.e. human or animal, is a HATE CRIME.

Yes NavyCop, I think it’s easy to fall into that race trap when the crime is as offensive to us as this one was, and the perpetrators are Black and the victims are White. But if you knew some of the details that weren’t widely reported, about how the five defendants related to White people before the crime, and how they chose Channon and Christopher as their “pidgeons, you might think twice about calling this a hate crime. According to the Knox County District Attorney, all of the defendants had White friends and dated White girlfriends, went to parties with White folks, and seemed to have no problem interacting with Whites on a social level. And the reason they chose to carjack the two victims had nothing to do with their race. They were kissing outside Channon’s Toyota 4-Runner, so it was easy to sneak up on them while they were distracted. One of the defendants told the police this during interrogation.
I read something else that kind of bothered me. It was suggested that because the Cobbin’s jury is 70% Black, the chance of him receiving the death penalty are lower. That “they all stick together” way of thinking has been proven wrong in courtrooms around the country time after time after time. Black people are just like everyone else – they are just as offended by men who rape and murder a child, or a pregnant mother, or an innocent couple, and are just as likely to apply the death penalty as a predominately White jury is when the defendant is Black. Maybe Jason can cite the source of this data, but I know it’s true because I’ve read it more than once.
I just think it all comes down to the fact that under our skin, we are all the same.
I think the argument for hate crimes is actually pretty compelling.
If I kill you to rob you, because you’re in my way or because I like killing people, then I have committed the crime of murder and possibly some other crime.
If I kill you because you are black, and I want to make an example of you, then I have committed murder and I’ve committed a second crime of intimidation against a community.
If I kill you because you are a Jew, Gay, or even a Woman, I’ve done the same thing. I’m not just trying to kill you, I’m trying to kill or suppress everyone like you.
That’s the definition of a Hate Crime.

If your intention was to intimidate the white population then an honest definition of a hate crime would apply.
All crimes are a hate crime if you think about it. Raping woman is motivated by hatred towards woman. Terrorism is a hate crime because terrorists have hate.
That misses the definition actually. Terrorism is a hate crime, but we have terrorism laws that specifically cover it. Rape is a crime against women, but it would only be a hate crime if it was also being used to change the way women in a particular community responded and acted.
I usually agree with and admire what you have to say, Jason.
However, the “definition” is a human definition, and therefore subject to error. As I have said before, ALL crimes against humans or animals are hate crimes. It takes an immense amount of hatred to hurt a child, to rape a woman, to torture a defenseless animal, to kill another human, or worse, leave them begging for death due to horrible injuries. The human mind must be saturated with hate to do any of the above.
Granted, human law has its own definition of what a hate crime is, but I still stand by my belief that any violent act against humans or domestic animals (excluding slaughter for consumption) is absolutely a hate crime.
I think you miss my point NC, Hate Crime legislation has a purpose if a poor name. Larceny is a pretty ridiculous crime when you look at it from the origin of the word. It comes from the Greek word Latron, to be hired, and the Latin, Latro, a mercenary. It came to us as “the unlawful taking of another’s property with the intention of permanently depriving the owner of it’s possession.
Hate crime legislation comes to us from the federal laws used to prosecute crimes committed in districts where the local authorities may have been participants in the institutionalized crime. Calling them, anti-KKK laws wouldn’t have passed muster. But calling them Hate Crimes legislation got even noted segregationists to hop on board. No one likes a Hate crime.
I concede that it often takes hate to commit a crime, but the formation of a Hate Crime was a way to help Black people overthrow oppression. Without hate crime legislation, we’d still be in the throes of the civil rights movement, and the Klan would still be a power in the South. Hate Crime legislation is a bandaid because Murder and Rape are illegal, but justice can only be enforced if the officer who brings justice, chooses to participate.
If you failed to perform your duty, you’d consider it a breach of the military code of conduct and a disgrace to your uniform. In the South, before these laws were enacted, there were men in uniform who disgraced their uniform, because they felt their race would be disgraced by prosecuting their fellow men in uniform for crimes against Blacks.
I am not trying to argue with you Jason, there is no way on earth I could keep up, I was just wondering.
Don’t sell yourself short. I agree with Hate crime in theory, IF it’s applied fairly as a separate charge. I agree with Mazzi that it’s a difficult concept because so much crime is rooted in hate, and I also agree with many, many legal scholars in that an implication of intent is a difficult measure to criminalize.
Hate Crimes allowed the intercession of federal law enforcement into the communities and states that normally would not have prosecuted vigilante justice against their minority population. They were a bandaid for a larger problem. It’s the rare community where a white man will be killed to intimidate a white population. The same cannot always be said of a black man, killed to intimidate a black population. It doesn’t mean the rarity makes it any less of a hate crime or any less as applicable.
A gay man is beaten, forced to perform oral sex on his attackers and then tied to a fence post with rope and barbed wire, where he eventually dies from exposure. That’s murder and that’s a hate crime. There’s a display, a concealment of repressed homosexuality. A Black man is dragged with a chain behind a truck emblazoned with a confederate flag until there is only the mangled trunk of his body remaining, and it is then discarded. This is a hate crime. A woman is raped by men because she is breaking gender stereotypes and pursuing employment in a male dominated field or asking for equal protections under the law that is a hate crime.
A group of poor men and one woman, kidnap an upper middle class couple with college educations and bright futures, and then rape, demean, urinate on, defecate on, murder and then defile even after death until there isn’t enough of one of the victims to allow for an open coffin service, then yes, when I parse the words, this is indeed a hate crime.
To prove it, however, you’d need to find the attack against their status, race or creed, and in this case it is too tenuous. Too hard to define.
To further expound on your examples, Jason, I wanted to point out the flip side.
If a man is robbing a bank, and he shoots a gay man, or a black man, or a female who gets in his way – it is NOT a hate crime. The victim was chosen “at random” or due to the circumstances, not specifically because they were black, gay or female.
Even if the robber yelled “DIE, “_n*gg*r, *f*gg*t, or b*tch_” before he pulled the trigger, it is not a hate crime (although that starts to cross the line). The main reason he killed the victim is because the victim interfered in his crime, NOT because the victim was ___race/sex/sexual orientation__.
Here is the problem: certainly race and gender are rather obvious physical characteristics. In some cases, sexual orientation is easy to form a quick stereotype about as well. So, was the killer using the racial/gender/orientation “tag” to identify the person, or were they using it to isolate the person and “punish” them for the percieved failings of their entire class? Without corroborating evidence (such as belonging to a white supremacist group or prior crimes specifically targeting gays) there is no way to know.
Hate crimes were originally designed to “weight” certain minor crimes more heavily. Graffiti for instance. If someone is caught painting on a wall, it is probably a misdemeanor. But if they scrawl swastikas on a synagogue, that crime SHOULD be considered more severe – a threat, intimidation, whatever – simply because the “artist” dislikes Jews. To make the severity of the crime heavier, they added the idea of “hate crimes”.
Well, since the law could not be specific to graffiti or vandalism (which would create loopholes for the criminals), the laws are pretty broad. And THAT’s why they are available for murder cases. And why they should be.
If a guy walks into a 7-11 and blows away the worker with a turban on his head, simply because the criminal is a xenophobe, and then reaches into the cash drawer and robs the place, the fact is that the murder itself should be punished in such a way that the hate crime law addition is unnecessary.
Unfortunately, we all know that a “simple murder” does not necessarily result in just sentences. A plain vanilla murderer may be out in 7 years, not confined for life, which would be a just sentence. So the authorities try to “pad” their cases whenever possible, adding anything (plus the kitchen sink) to try and get the perp behind bars for as long as possible. If the circumstances lend themselves to tacking on a “hate crime” charge, they will do it, but if it’s questionable, and could potentially open up an appeal defense down the road, they will not try it.
In this case, there is no doubt that there was hate involved, but it is harder to prove that the hate is against “white” people, rather than “privileged” people. And the law is clear about hate crimes – the crime MUST be committed against a class of people who are protected by the Constitution. “Privileged people” are not a protected class. So, if the prosecutors can not prove that the REASON the victims were picked was because of their age/race/gender/ethnicity/religion/national origin/disability/sexual orientation (the protected statuses), then the prosecutor will have a hard time proving a hate crime.
We have to trust the authorities in cases like this, I’m afraid. To us, as observers, it may seem that the murderers chose their victims based on skin color (and maybe they did), but THEY have a valid defense against that charge. They have white friends/relatives. They may still be racists (just as a white racist may have black relatives) but that is not enough to make it a hate crime.
We can’t get inside their heads and KNOW why they did something, so the surrounding evidence has to be the key. And while it seems fairly strong (a group of blacks victimize a pair of whites) having evidence of white friends/family will go a long way towards defending that charge. There are enough other, easily provable charges to keep these scumballs in jail for a long time. There is no sense in throwing on a weak charge just for political reasons.
I would have to disagree with you Jason, at least on this point. I personally don’t agree with the idea of hate crime legislation. I do not think the reason why someone commits the crime they do makes any difference to the outcome of the sentence. If I was to go out and shoot two different Jews simply because I feel a dislike for your typical Jew I would be in violation of the current hate crime laws. Now if I went out and just shot two random people I would get less of a sentence. To me this makes no sense. It is the exact opposite of giving someone a lighter sentence simply because they are mentally handicapped. To punish someone simply for a reason of thought seem Orwellian to me. Don’t get me wrong to hate anyone seems like a pointless waste of time, but to make someone’s thoughts about someone else illegal seems absurd.
For those of you who say we should simply ship all the blacks back to Africa, I can’t say if that would work or not, but it seems like a non-starter from the get-go. If this plan was implemented what or who would you blame then when the problems persisted, where would it all end. Would we then begin to start deporting everyone of immigrant background? That would include everyone, even the Native Americans are found to not really be native they immigrated across the land bridge during the last ice age. To think that we can deport anyone that causes us a problem is simply a silly idea in a whole.
Hmmm…. That’s not really what those laws are for. Hate Crime laws are federal laws. Let’s say you’re from a small town of 300 people, and next door to your town is a small Jewish neighborhood of 12 people.
You and the town sheriff go over and kill four Jews, rape 2 Jewish women, and beat the other 6, saying if anyone reports this, you’ll kill them.
Let’s see here, you two would be guilty of 4 murders, 2 rapes and 6 aggravated assaults, but the local judge, your cousin Merv, dismisses the case, because he doesn’t like hearing about it. There’s no appeal, since murder, rape and assault are state law, you might go to the state prosecutor, but he’s Merv’s brother-in-law Steve, and the buck stops there.
Hate Crime legislation was originally enacted to specifically target this sort of system, because the relationships were much more convoluted and were deeply rooted in an anti-American and secret organization known as the KKK. So they needed a federal law and federal jurisdiction to handle it all. So under the relatively unconstitutional decision that Congress can make pretty broad laws to protect interstate commerce, they said fear can cross borders. That an institution of fear and hate was manifestly present across state lines. That the goals of the Klan were to intimidate a large population of Blacks into not voting and not reporting crime.
They made these federal crimes, which made the jurisdiction federal courts. It prevented the local juries from releasing them, the local prosecutors from controlling the cases, and local judges from crushing them. It snapped the back of the clan.
It was a bully stick that I wish would never have been necessary, but from time to time has been useful. Someday soon, when we need it the least. I’d like to see it set aside for good, by men who could use it, but decide not to.

WOW-we start out talking about two victims of a horrific crime and end up calling each other racists and n*****s and other sterotypical names.,. thats great. Lets really FOCUS on the families and victims here. Everyone read this and hated reading it hearing how they were tortured and murdered, its not the fact that it was black people killing white people it was PEOPLE BRUTUALLY RAPING AND MURDERING PEOPLE… only they know if it was racially motivated and it doesn’t even matter. Instead lets focus on praying for the health and wellbeing of their families and the justice these idiots deserve as people.
I was just reading a story about the medical examiners testimony in this case and she says Channon wasn’t raped as much as she was savaged. Dr. Darinka Mileusnic-Polchan said she couldnt be sure what caused the blunt forced trauma to Channon’s genital area, but there was so much blood pooled there that she could scoop it out. The doctor said the trauma could have possibly been caused to this group of hoodlums kicking and punching her in the area.
What a waste of space the whole group of them are.

I agree with most of what you said. While I don’t expect everyone in this country to look just like me, I do expect them to be held accountable by the same laws that govern the rest of civilized society. I do not believe in preferencial treatment for anyone, no matter race or creed. So in a sense I do expect them to act like me.
I actually agonized over those words, and added the qualifiers of “living in peace” and “contribute.”
I should have stressed positive contribution and added “live within our laws” and it might have been a more complete statement. I accept the qualification.
As a side note, I really, really look white. I have a lot of Cherokee ancestry maybe a little African heritage, but I didn’t earn or need a minority scholarship by my looks. I just find this Christian Identity garbage of “muddying the races of this nation” a bit tiresome when you consider that this nation is grist for the millstone of time and it is only in our acceptance of many nations, creeds and peoples that we’ve accomplished so much.
All of that set aside, I am a fierce opponent of illegal immigration and amnesty. A different argument from all of this. I have a good friend who LEGALLY immigrated here from Brazil, proudly took his oath of citizenship, and with refinement, gladly participates in our democracy with his votes and his participation in our jury selection and selective service. Another debate, perhaps, but this argument is headed towards a further racial debate.
I do believe there is a great racial devide within this country, not saying that it does not exist in other countries. There is also a great urge to self segragation within the minority communities. The racial situation is almost to a boiling point and there seems to be no one that is offering a level head on one side we have nazi’s, the kkk and white nationals on the other we have the aclu and naacp. Neither side seem to be looking for an applicable solution to any of the issues that hinder any logical debate on this issue. I would like to see everyone of every race co-exist in peace. This idea even though PC does not seem to have any real backing. Many people may say they strive for the same goals, their actions speak louder than words. To me it seems like all these seperate groups are simply out for their own vices, and to leave the situation as is fits all of the groups with one fell swoop.

It’s just nice to know that not every liberal or conservative has to fall in lock step with their party, and most are capable of thinking for themselves.
The first NAACP board in 1911, had only a single Black member. While their founding was in 1909, their incorporation and first board was elected in 1911. The majority of their board were white, Jewish men. When I see the word “Colored” in the acronym, I can clearly see a place in the NAACP for someone who is white. I think their principles are far from those of its creation and people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should be ashamed that the NAACP has so narrowly focused their actions on the protection of one color with exclusion for others.
That conceded, I cannot say the same for the KKK. Their founding was as a paramilitary organization against Blacks and Northern occupation, by groups of former confederate soldiers in Tennessee, who disobeyed the surrender orders of their superiors and attempted to resurrect in part and parcel the slavery of the South. I concede and in fact defend that up to the firing on Fort Sumner, the South was legally able to and in fact bound by the will of their population to seek peaceful succession from the Union, but after illegally firing on the soldiers and structure, they committed a war crime and treason against the country they were at that time, still citizens of. That legal pretext, unfortunately cost us many of our State’s rights. All of the historical hand wringing set aside, the KKK from beginning to now remains a counter-culture terrorist organization bent on the same goals they have always represented. To liken the NAACP to the militancy of the KKK is to commit a verbal prevarication like likening Christ to a dung beetle.
Voluntary segregation is a right, an action of the right of privacy, an expression of freedom of speech, and even a call back to the frontiersmen who separated those who did not share their beliefs in politics or religion, in order to strike out and call a new place their own, and establish some of their own rules. Involuntary segregation is not reasonable or legally protected, unless the individual who is segregated has committed a crime and lost some of their rights.
Every empire that has eventually fallen, without exception, did so by first building walls to separate their ruling castes and people from those of other lands or rival factions. When those walls and more importantly the guardians on those walls found themselves more sympathetic to the side they were defending against, than the side they were guarding, the empire they carried the standard for collapsed.
It was this way in Rome, it was suffered by the Aztecs, the British, the Chinese, the British in China, the Japanese, the Koreans, the Vietnamese, Spain, Mexico and by the United States of America. Some day we may lose the State of Hawaii for these same reasons.
If, however, we look at the educated blacks, whites, latinos and asians, we can clearly see they work together, play together, sometime marry, and act as kind and considerate neighbors together.

First, I agree with you wholeheartedly on the issue of legal versus illegal immigration. My husband is a legal immigrant from Europe. We got married and paid thousands of dollars, filled out sheaf after sheaf of papers, and underwent several intrusive screenings and interviews for him to become a legal resident of the US. He is a legal, contributing member of the US society.
That is why I have no sympathy for illegal aliens. Legality can be accomplished by following the rules. Thus, the people who choose to circumvent the laws and simply “take” what they want are not just criminals – in my mind they are dishonest people who lack integrity. The ones who come here illegally and then feed off the system are the worst kind of leeches, and honestly, we don’t need more leeches here.

I will assume that you mean “most liberals” and I accept that. I have many liberal friends, and I have found that we tend to agree on most individual issues, within a few points in one direction or another.
HOWEVER – there is a class of people who have taken the “tag” of liberal, and carried it to the radical extreme. There is empirical evidence that these radicals ARE indeed hell-bent on destroying our country. These people have an overwhelming presence in our universities, and thus a trickle-down effect into our elementary school educators, our media and our politicians, where they continue to do much harm.
They have learned how to sway people by “packaging” their ideas in innocuous ways – ways that SOUND good, until and unless you examine the flip side of the issues. For example: as we see regularly on PYSIH, making sure that unmarried mothers have adequate resources for their children. How could that be a BAD thing? It’s humane and it’s the “right thing to do”, right? Well, obviously, it IS a bad thing in many cases – it turns children into commodities for some women, which lowers the value of each child emotionally, leading to abuse and/or neglect (not to mention overpopulating). Then, we REWARD the parents who harm their children through neglect or undiscovered abuse, by increasing the monetary value of the child.
As you can see, that part of the “package” was never presented to us – liberal or conservative – and so the programs slid in to all of our compassionate agreement. But I am pretty certain (if you read authors like Saul Alinsky) that this was all *intended* by the people who created this program.
Anyway, I think that the tag “liberal” means two entirely different things. You are a true liberal, one of the “good guys”. The others? I think they need to be sorted out and renamed “radicals” or “socialists” or “fascists” or whatever. I’m all for everyone getting along, but all too many don’t, and statistics show who and where the problem lies. My personal experiences tell me, with few exceptions, that when blacks go where whites are (or vice versa) there will be trouble, so why can’t they just stay away from each other?

You don’t live in my world. I work with Black, White, Asian, Latino and every other color of the world. A fellow Black senior developer sits twelve feet from me. We eat lunch together at least three times a month. We swap stories about soldering this or that together or things that showed up in Make magazine. On the third floor of our building, all colors of the rainbow work white collar jobs making sure the operations get completed. Black people go where white people go, there are some black people in charge, some white people in charge and a lot of just getting the damn job done.
Why can it work for us and not for you? Is it because we work where at the dead minimum you have to be able to read/write and do simple arithmetic? Most of the Blacks who work here have a BA, one has an MBA and many served in the military?
What’s the common denominator? Is it that we take care of families? Seriously? Why do you think it’s so different for us? Why do you think segregation doesn’t work for us, when you’re so certain it would work to solve all the ills of society you see?

I only have a second, so let me sum it up this way (in one of my shortest posts ever):
Your world is a completely different world than the world that Lardo has witnessed for 22 years. Both are reality, but neither applies to the other.
Had Lardo’s work place him around people like you and your colleagues, he would understand you. And had you lived his life, you would understand him.
But as I’ve tried to say so many times. I chose this life. My middle school was in a community called Freedman, because the Freedman’s bureau had been burned down there long, long ago. I met my best friend there, he was my best man, he lives a couple of miles away in the same almost country club. Our town had the Klan march down the streets, the cops beat blacks, and two boys who gutted two black kids in a High School bathroom, got away without any sentences.
They are the same world, some people simply choose to live in the darker half(nothing to do with race, but more a reference to a dark age), where they have an excuse to beat. I don’t doubt Lardo isn’t making the decisions for the people he arrests. For lack of a better word, the mindless jobs are on the fall, and the jobs that require you to work your mind as hard as your body are on the rise. I helped make a touch screen self-checkout system a decade ago and it was to compete with several already on the market. Building a wall between two races because of what happens in that darker half, misses that the lighter half is trying to put everyone in the darker half, black, white or other, out of business, because we frankly don’t want to look at it anymore(and I admit that it’s just as disgusting).
I could have stayed in my home town. I could have watched the manufacturing jobs decay and thus white and black sink further into poverty. I could have farmed, done day labor, and let petty arguments and petty drama turn into this same sort of crap.
But we have an urge to leave the familiar and move on. If we capitalize on it and gain confidence in our own abilities, we are usually better than we ever tested. Lebniz, one of the fathers of Calculus also invented the term Optimism to say that we live in the best possible universe that God could have chosen for us. I restructure that and state, we live in the best possible universe we both choose for ourselves and in agreement settle to coexist in. Separate ignores the boundary layer where we are not separate, and that boundary layer has bulged anywhere we use our minds as tools. In those places we find equality.
Well, exactly, Jason. And that is MY point exactly. You were strong, you had the will and the strength to get out. Who is left behind? Those without the strength and the will to do better things, right?
We know that people don’t exist in a vacuum. The same lack of strength and will translates into all aspects of their lives. Or perhaps it is a REFLECTION of their lives. Either way, the people left behind are of a different caliber than you.
SOME are really wonderful people, who just lacked the drive or education to forge ahead, but a much larger percentage (than in our world) of those remaining are going to be dysfunctional people.

I assume that Lardo had daily contact with angry, hate-filled dysfunctional people, many who have been taught to BLAME society (which is represented by the white man). If you were a white man in those conditions, I doubt that you could NOT be impacted by your environment.
And, his reality is that blacks and whites are often at odds. His reality is that blacks and whites often target each other, and often violently.
In our reality, we have nothing to fear from other races who exist within our own parameters. My good friend who has a Doctorate in Microbiology holds no animosity to me for being a white female. He probably doesn’t even think of me as a “white female” I am simply his friend. The same way that I don’t think of him as being a black man – he is just Jim.
Do you see what I am getting at here? We can’t just write Lardo off as a closet racist. I see him (at least based on what I read) as a pragmatist who has based his views on what he has experienced. And I have to think that if we had switched places with him for a while, we would feel kind of the same. Not anger or hatred, but an understanding of what is reality, and a desire to protect his loved ones.
Instead of making this a race issue, its an issue of how good citizens regardless of color can protect our selves, children, parents, brothers, sisters, etc. from animals. They all should be set on fire, regardless of color. There is something that we all share in common regardless of color and that is pain when a love one has been taken from us, we all grieve the same. MONSTERS, KILLERS, are in every race from Ted Bundy, Ed Gein, John Gacy, etc. they are all monsters including this SORRY EXCUSE FOR HUMANS. The parents of the victims as well as ofthe killers – are hurting. Instead of trying to prove that my race is better than yours’ cramp – lets remember the families and friends. AT THE END OF THE DAY RACE REALLY DOESN’T MATTER – what matters is how as a society stop MONSTERS AS SUCH INCLUDING THE Ted Bundy -all his victims were white, the crime was still just as terrible as ifthe victims were black. The Race War of Black Against White

The longest war America has ever fought is the Dirty War, and it is not over. It has lasted 30 years so far and claimed more than 25 million victims. It has cost almost as many lives as the Vietnam War. It determined the result of last year’s congressional election.
Yet the American news media do not want to talk about the Dirty War, which remains between the lines and unreported. In fact, to even suggest that the war exists is to be discredited. So let’s start suggesting, immediately.
No matter how crime figures are massaged by those who want to acknowledge or dispute the existence of a Dirty War, there is nothing ambiguous about what the official statistics portray: for the past 30 years a large segment of black America has waged a war of violent retribution against white America.
And the problem is getting worse, not better. In the past 20 years, violent crime has increased more than four times faster than the population. Young blacks (under 18) are more violent than previous generations and are 12 times more likely to be arrested for murder than young whites.
Nearly all the following figures, which speak for themselves, have not been reported in America:
According to the latest US Department of Justice survey of crime victims, more than 6.6 million violent crimes (murder, rape, assault and robbery) are committed in the US each year, of which about 20 per cent, or 1.3 million, are inter-racial crimes.
Most victims of race crime – about 90 per cent – are white, according to the survey “Highlights from 20 Years of Surveying Crime Victims”, published in 1993.
Almost 1 million white Americans were murdered, robbed, assaulted or raped by black Americans in 1992, compared with about 132,000 blacks who were murdered, robbed, assaulted or raped by whites, according to the same survey.
Blacks thus committed 7.5 times more violent inter-racial crimes than whites even though the black population is only one-seventh the size of the white population. When these figures are adjusted on a per capita basis, they reveal an extraordinary disparity: blacks are committing more than 50 times the number of violent racial crimes of whites.
According to the latest annual report on murder by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, most inter-racial murders involve black assailants and white victims, with blacks murdering whites at 18 times the rate that whites murder blacks.
These breathtaking disparities began to emerge in the mid-1960′s, when there was a sharp increase in black crime against whites, an upsurge which, not coincidentally, corresponds exactly with the beginning of the modern civil rights movement.
Over time, the cumulative effect has been staggering. Justice Department and FBI statistics indicate that between 1964 and 1994 more than 25 million violent inter-racial crimes were committed, overwhelmingly involving black offenders and white victims, and more than 45,000 people were killed in inter-racial murders. By comparisons 58,000 Americans died in Vietnam, and 34,000 were killed in the Korean war.
When non-violent crimes (burglary, larceny, car theft and personal theft) are included, the cumulative totals become prodigious. The Bureau of Justice Statistics says 27 million non-violent crimes were committed in the US in 1992, and the survey found that 31 per cent of the robberies involved black offenders and white victims (while only 2 per cent in the reverse).
When all the crime figures are calculated, it appears that black Americans have committed at least 170 million crimes against white Americans in the past 30 years. It is the great defining disaster of American life and American ideals since World War II.
All these are facts, yet by simply writing this story, by assembling the facts in this way, I would be deemed a racist by the American news media. It prefers to maintain a paternalistic double-standard in its coverage of black America, a lower standard.
This article is somewhat dated but you can extrapolate and estimate how much additional cowardly minority on White crime has taken place in the ensuing years.
Race war is coming, in fact it has been waged by cowardly minorities against outnumbered, unarmed Whites for decades. America will go the way of the former Yugoslavia, but that conflict will pale in comparison to what will happen, here. Pluralism will never work, not well, nor for very long. The architects of “diversity”, those White racial traitos have rivers of blood on their hands, they will be put on trial and we know that “I was just following orders” will be no valid defense.
Payback will be the biggest bitch that history has ever witnessed!

58,159 US dead, 2000 missing
220,357 South Vietnamese dead
4960 dead South Koreans
30,000 dead from the Kingdom of Laos
520 dead Australians
37 dead Kiwis(New Zealand for those not in the know)
1351 dead from Thailand.
Totals about 317,384. If we add in all of the North Vietnamese dead and their soviet and Chinese advisers we get about 1.5 million.
25 million dead isn’t almost as many as Vietnam as this “article” claims in the beginning.
It’s more dead soldiers than World War II from both the Axis and the allies.

Page 7 of this document clearly states and shows in its chart that
“The number of victimizations rose from 1973 until the early 1980′s and has since declined.”
I can’t seem to find the stats they use to support their numbers, but on page 23 this document does say:
Whites were the offender in violent crimes 64% of the time. Only 28% of the time is the offender Black. Other races are only 7%. Whites are in fact more than twice as likely to be the offender in a violent crime.
Whites were 77% of the rapists. 70% of the simple assaults. 64% of the aggravated assaults.
In 4/5ths of all violent crimes are members of the same race as offender and victim.
I found the notes for of the remaining 20%, 15% are Blacks on Whites, and 2% are Whites on Blacks, but nothing that supports the blatant falsehood cited above.
So let me get this straight… This guy was citing a source, and didn’t even bother to actually use the source? Where’d he get these numbers from? Oh, out of his ass.
Likewise his numbers are farcical, and his conclusion of 170 million crimes against whites is impossible to find in his stated sources.
Why? Because he’s a liar and he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.
What’s even better is that these stats are from voluntary interviews on crime. I will concede that I believe that most Blacks now, who are victimized by a white attacker will report the crime, but from 1973 to 1992? I’ll even admit that most violent crime between victims of different races is black on white crime, but I’ll also call foul on the belief that Blacks are responsible for the overwhelming majority of crime.
This made me laugh the hardest. The concept that we are merely white, black, asian, latino, or other is in and of itself a belief in racial pluralism. Even the Nazis understood that Gauls and Anglo-Saxons weren’t Lombards and Swedes. Racial plurality started with White power, as early slave manifests didn’t usually refer to incoming slaves merely as Blacks. They were Nigerians, Kenyans, Sierras, and a host of other classifications. When a black slave had a partially white child, they had definitions of degree, calling some mulatto, some Quatroons, and so on and so forth. Calling all Blacks, Black is like calling Hawaiians and Cherokee, Native Americans. Calling me white because my skin is so, or calling this nation’s white population even majorly Anglo-Saxon is utterly ridiculous. My last name means silversmith in some Germanic dialects and even one Slavic one. Not because my white heritage comes from some purity based ethnic group, but because my family spread around Europe and became known for good silver work. Sometimes it also meant bastard, because our family had a proclivity to adopt people into the name. That name was Americanized before the civil war. My mother’s side of the family name comes from a Scottish clan. Scottish clans interbred across the mountainside with vikings, celts, gaul, Romans, and dozens of other races to make the pasty skinned runts who crawled onto ships after being beaten back by the British Soldiers and Irish conscripts, to be shipped to the States as day labor and indentured servants. They form the core of the Appalachian mountains and are responsible for 80% of the American made furniture today. There’s no shame in these heritages, but to call them merely white, is to miss the true significances of race.
To call a half-Kenyan, 100% American, merely Black is to do a disservice to a nation that proved that mongrels can beat pure-bred in every competition known to man, including war. Some of our best American pilots are Black and Asian Americans. Some of our best marines are 1st generation American Latinos. If you want to fight a war against them, then I hope the descendants of the Jews who built the Manhattan project arm them with ray guns that melt your pitiful armaments to slag.
Educate yourselves. If you can’t be bothered to read a book or check the facts of the moron you let preach to you, you aren’t worth being called human, let alone some kind of master or handsome race.

In 1996, there were 6,767 arrestable offenses committed that were classified as hate crimes. Of those, 1,384 were committed by Blacks against Whites, but 4,469 were committed by Whites against Blacks. Kinda shoots Mr. Sheehan’s premise all to hell, doesn’t it?

The Truth of Interracial Rape in the United States

Like Ahab’s search for the Great White Whale, liberals’ search for the Great White Defendant is relentless and never-ending. When, in 1988, Tawana Brawley’s and Al Sharpton’s then year-old spectacular charge that several white men including prosecutor Steven Pagones (whose name Brawley had picked out of a newspaper article) had abducted and raped the 15 year old was shown to be completely false, the Nation said it didn’t matter, since the charges expressed the essential nature of white men’s treatment of black women in this country. When the Duke University lacrosse players were accused of raping a black stripper last year, liberals everywhere treated the accusation as fact, because, just as with the Nation and Tawana Brawley, the rape charge seemed to the minds of liberals to reflect the true nature of oppressive racial and sexual relations in America.
To see the real truth of the matter, let us take a look at the Department of Justice document Criminal Victimization in the United States, 2005. (Go to the linked document, and under “Victims and Offenders” download the pdf file for 2005.)
In Table 42, entitled “Personal crimes of violence, 2005, percent distribution of single-offender victimizations, based on race of victims, by type of crime and perceived race of offender,” we learn that there were 111,590 white victims and 36,620 black victims of rape or sexual assault in 2005. (The number of rapes is not distinguished from those of sexual assaults; it is maddening that sexual assault, an ill-defined category that covers various types of criminal acts ranging from penetration to inappropriate touching, is conflated with the more specific crime of rape.) In the 111,590 cases in which the victim of rape or sexual assault was white, 44.5 percent of the offenders were white, and 33.6 percent of the offenders were black. In the 36,620 cases in which the victim of rape or sexual assault was black, 100 percent of the offenders were black, and 0.0 percent of the offenders were white. The table explains that 0.0 percent means that there were under 10 incidents nationally.
The table does not gives statistics for Hispanic victims and offenders. But the bottom line on interracial white/black and black/white rape is clear:
In the United States in 2005, 37,460 white females were sexually assaulted or raped by a black man, while between zero and ten black females were sexually assaulted or raped by a white man.
What this means is that every day in the United States, over one hundred white women are raped or sexually assaulted by a black man.

Since the article sited above (by Ian) was written in 1995 (and has circulated the internet like wildfire since then) I’m hoping the Herald will give you a straight, hard-copy answer from their archives. I’ve heard for many, many years that he is indeed the writer (I remember when I first read it in ’95, as it was published shortly after my son was born). Sheehan has been known for his…err, shall we say “radical”…viewpoints on minorities, religions (Muslims in particular), immigration, etc etc. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he had indeed written it.

Well now that I’ve finally read who these people are and what they’ve done, I can say that, black/white/yellow/brown/purple/paisley/auburn-with-magenta-shading, upper class/middle class/lower class, WHATEVER… the point is, this group of people committed a horribly brutal and senseless act on two innocent people and for seeminlgy unmotivated reasons. What did Channon and Christopher ever do to them? Did Channon and Christopher even know this group existed before that night? Who does this sort of thing??? And when are they going to Hell?

Oh My God, I read some of the police interview transcripts, this Vanessa girl is lying her a$$ off, she held that girl hostage in the bathroom while Daphne Sutton came over to see Davidson. The ringleader, and the clown they had the most evidence against, Lamaricus Davidson, got the Death Penalty. The jury surely dropped the ball in the Letalvis Cobbins case when they gave him life w/o parole, but they had very little evidence against George Thomas and Vanessa Coleman, so all in all their sentences were the best anyone could have hoped for.
This was not a hate crime, it was a carjacking that went terribly wrong. Crimes like this happens all the time, in every city, to all kinds of people, and are committed by every race and class of persons.

It wouldn’t matter if these people were purple, orange, green or blue. The fact remains that it is a sickening crime that never should have happened. Factoring race into the equation almost feels demeaning to the lives that were lost. It’s as if they are being stripped of their whole person and being seen only as a color. Tennessee juries are apprehensive to apply the death penalty, more so than in other states. All races of people do commit violent crimes,both with their own race and also against people of other races. Anyone who says different obviously does not know much about human nature. Now, that said, it is obvious that the media in this country does little to report crimes whereas the perpertrator is black, and the victim is white. Why? Jason has written for us a few times, and his stories are as good as you would expect them to be. I think the only reason he doesn’t do it more often is the fact that he doesn’t have the time.
I have a novel written. I’ve been editing it for the last two years. That two years has been busy with house projects, lots of day job, a car accident(recent) and the onset of Celiac disease.
The reason you probably like my comments, is that I write what I know. Anyone who does that, at the very least can capture your attention. The rest is practice, and I get that here.
I had a college English teacher(she moved on to other careers) for a mother and a sailor who never gained his land legs for a father. Some day, if you pick up a book about a bright middle child, who describes his parents that way, you’ll know I finally got published.
Max is dead on, I often serve as an independent contractor and my field is software and systems security, which is not a 9-5 job with a 7 day work week, more like 18 hour days when the heat is on, and weeks that end three months later. I love this site, don’t get me wrong. It gave me a good place to get over the loss of people very important to me. I’m not over that, and I don’t regret the camaraderie here, and especially love the purpose this site has. In quiet moments, when this site is at its best, you can sometimes see “thank you” written in the comments. Those are genuine responses from the victims of these crimes or crimes like them. When you see them, they’re kudos for people like Admin, Max and Blondie. Imagine for a moment if you had to turn to the ugliest thing you can think of, these monsters up here, and write something about them that you can know. Take what you know, make it entertaining, and write a hundred for every kudo you get. That’s the job Max chooses to do. He said he’s my follower, but I feel like a good friend. Mel…this is one of the stories that has stuck in my head and bothered me every since I heard the story. Then last night it was on Sins & Secrets on Discovery ID. I listened to the confessions and read the trial transcript and wow I was really horrified. Stella Kiser and Jesse Compton is also a sick case. I had never heard of Jesse until I started prowling(sp) the net one night and I knew I had to write on those monsters.
It makes me so sick. First off, pot and crack do not go hand in hand. Nearly everyone I’ve been around has tried pot, some still do it, I’ll admit I’ve smoked my fair share. Only one has ever tried crack (and not a single one of my black friends). He nearly died, and swore off the stuff. Coleman might have been on her way to college, but that doesn’t make her a good person. I don’t think anyone who participates in a rape, mutilation, and murder is a good person, regardless of their skin color. Christian and Channon were better people not because they were going to college, but because they didn’t rape or kill anyone! That’s not limited to skin color- James Byrd was a better man than his killers. Rapists and murderers are lower than scum, and deserve every horrible name they’re called.
So because your ancestors felt pain, it’s okay to mutilate white people, just so they know? What about the white people whose families didn’t come over until after slavery ended? Or after the 1960s? Is there some kind of patch they should wear to signal it’s not okay to hurt them? I don’t agree with slavery, nor do I agree with segregation or violence against blacks. I’ve said in another thread one of the biggest embarrassments of our so-called Free Nation is that it took a fucking amendment to recognize everyone as a person and worthy of voting, and it took a court order to force people to give everyone an equal education. But does that mean you should be allowed to hurt someone based on history that two kids in their young 20s (meaning they obviously never owned slaves and probably didn’t support discrimination) didn’t have any part of? If you think it’s okay to hurt someone based on their skin color just because of history, you’re no better than the slave owners. My husband is a Native American, he isn’t throwing diseased blankets at random white people.
If they were merely thieves and dope dealers there’s a good chance no one here would have heard their names, because fuck that noise. Thieves and dope dealers are no where near as bad as baby rapers and serial killers. But then they all made a choice, as a group, to take their crimes much further. Five actively participated in this crime, it wasn’t until much later that a single one of them decided to show a smidgeon of remorse. It took several days to kill Channon… did any of them have a second thought in there? Did any think, for even a moment, that what they were doing might be wrong? Was there a single fucking thought about calling the police and maybe saving Channon’s life. No. They killed Christian and they killed Channon in the worst possible ways, and in that they showed their true colors, as people with no hearts and probably no souls.
Oh, and just out of curiosity, do I have a better understanding of pain and suffering if one of my family members died at Auschwitz?

Christian had pot in his system. Nothing harder. Selling it might go hand in hand, but Christian was not selling anything. His crime, as they say, was being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
You may not have been saying it was okay to kill, but you’ve been saying in all your comments that perhaps now white people know the pain that you have felt. But how much of that pain have you personally felt? Have you personally buried a child? Several in my family have. Have you personally be held in chains? Been whipped? Been harmed by crime? Slavery still exists in this country, and it is not just blacks who are being held. Have you ever looked into the eyes of a young child who has been harmed by those who supposedly loved them? The eyes of a girl who was forced by her so-called boyfriend to sell herself? I have. Those are chains that don’t have locks.
I’m not saying that I’m without sin. I’m not saying that. But I am not saying that perhaps Germans deserve any violence that occurs against them because of what they did in the past, so perhaps now they know the pain of the Jews, Catholics, dissenters, and gays that they tortured, murdered, and yes, used as slaves, some of whom are still alive today and have to watch as people debate putting those who they watched murder their family members into jail because ‘they’re too old for that’.
Do you think that because I am white I don’t know discrimination? You don’t know me, but I have been discriminated against. Because of my orientation. I’m bisexual, I could have easily made a choice to hide it by going out with only men, but I chose to be true to myself. I was banned from my church for it. I was told I was no welcome until I prayed my way back into God’s good graces. Friends from near birth turned their backs on me. When I was out in public I was called names, physically attacked, and barred from going into places. I have had so-called good Christians stand across the way from me as I tried to go about my day with picket signs and people hurling insults and hateful words. I have been told to find help in a ‘gay’ club because I’m not straight, and told to stay away from the same club because I’m not gay. I’ve been fired for being pregnant, paid less than a male co-worker with less experience, and caught flack for marrying my husband because he’s a different race and social class than me. Don’t presume to know I don’t know pain from discrimination. Don’t presume to tell me I can’t possibly feel what it’s like, because I do.
As for the race thing, I didn’t bring it up, you did. I responded to your post which brought up the pain and degradation of slavery, which isn’t relevant to this story. Who was tied up during this crime? Who was raped, beaten, and murdered? Christian and Channon, and those are the only two I care about in this story.
I’m not God, but I don’t believe He is vengeful, hate-filled, and discriminatory. I believe as long as you live a good life, and honor and respect those who are doing the same, you are in His good graces. Believe God, but don’t use inflammatory words against two innocent souls sent to Him way too early because these scumbags had nothing better to do.
I agree with you wholeheartedly, KHR. I just can’t believe that the same guy who had it in Him to author all of creation would be the colossal dick that His most zealous of followers like to portray Him as being. I too think that as long as we try to live fundamentally good lives and be good ourselves and to one another, He’s going to accept us for who we are when the time comes, warts and all. It’s too bad that a good number of his followers don’t see Him that way.
As for you, Mrs. B, I’m pretty sure that one thing God wouldn’t be all that cool with is your attempts to demonize, vilify, and otherwise portray the victims in this situation as somehow being deserving of the horrors that they had visited upon them. I think he’d take special exception with you for doing it while you evoke his name, which you’re so clearly doing for no other reason than because it affords you an opportunity to wag your undeservedly self-righteous finger in other people’s faces.

Maybe I’m a cold-hearted asshole, but I don’t feel like justice is being served by putting these shit-stains behind bars. What the fuck is wrong with our society that people can do to someone what these fucking monsters did to those kids and not be dragged out into the street and shot as soon as due process finds them guilty? Why the fuck is allowing them to live out the rest of their lives even an option? Their victims won’t be able to live out theirs!
I can only hope that the parents of these two kids find some sort of peace. I couldn’t imagine going through what they’ve had to go through. Just reading about it is hard enough. God bless and keep ‘em.
