The Joy Of Discovery – A Commentary
I was searching for a picture for another story with my daughter, and I came across the masterpiece. It’s just too good to keep to myself, and since I’ve never used the “Commentary” category before, well, I hope you all enjoy this picture as much as we did. I don’t remember being quite this happy when I first “heard about the bird”, but really, is there anything that compares with the joy of a child?
Most of you know what frustrating week I’ve been having. It’d just seemed like every nutjob, troll, and crackpot supporter had suddenly been drawn to PYSIH. Well, more than anything, this picture is for all of you. You want to know why, because I laughed so much at the expression on the kids face that all the stress has left me, I feel awesome, and your pathetic attempts to drive me bananas have failed miserably. Miserably I say!
Anyway, it’s a new week, and I’m ready to take on a new wave of lunatics – Bring ‘em on.

We’ve had enough freaks geeks and dumbasses around here lately to make Cirque de Soleil jealous. But you’re right Max, that kid is brilliant. Bring me some more of those racist pastors my way!
I love it! Max, you have been awesome, and we really do appreciate everything you’ve been doing. Same for all the story submitters.
The look on his face is priceless. Kids are always the answer arnt they? Whenever i’m feeling glum, or even down right depressed, the answer to being happy again is always found with my kids. They are absolutely delightful.
And then there was my F’d up comment (that wasn’t intented to be). I learned a lot Max, for what’s worth. My bad. It’s really interesting around here, I must say. I’ve been back for approx 24 hours pretty and I’m worn out, I can imagine how you feel. I haven’t had time to tear that racist beoch a new one, but something to look forward to right? :)
It’s probably a good time to once again cheers to hard work (not that, I’ve done any, wink) and goodtimes. Ahhhh.
What comment? I’ve forgotten all about that, especially since instead of finding a healthy way like this to vent, I kind of took it out on you.

Hoo boy, it’s true isn’t it?! The sense of joy children have when they’re really happy – it’s just contagious! That’s why I like to tell kids that if they complete some task they’ll get a really great present. Of course, kids aren’t very good at doing things (I know some kids that can barely tie their shoes, come on!) so I never give them anything – but the sense of excitement that comes over them when they first hear about a present is really something special!
You need professional help. Seriously. I hope no one lets you anywhere near children.

Max, I stumbled on this site a few months ago and have been so impressed with the way you run it. Even though you do get your share of crackpot commentators, you’ve also drawn in a regular group of thoughtful, insightful people. You’ve managed to shine a light on some of the failings in our legal system and probably provided many families with an outlet to share their stories.
Fuck the haters! This site and your maintenance of it, are amazing.
