Scott J. Johnson
People have often asked me if I believe in evil. Not the head rotating 360°, spitting pea soup evil, but the real fire and brimstone, sulfur smokin’, pitchfork sharpening evil. And the answer is yes, I do.
Case in point, Scott J. Johnson, 38 of Kingsford, Michigan. If ever there was the epitome of evil, it is this worthless sack of excrement. Scott Johnson’s life had not been going well since he left the Army. His wife, Theresa Johnson, left him in 2001, describing him as a ‘‘controlling, ‘neat freak’’ and a ‘‘loner with few friends.” She took their two children and moved back in with her parents in Ohio. Johnson was ordered to pay child support, which he did not want to pay.
Johnson claims to have turned to alcohol and marijuana to cope with what he perceived as his personal failures. Day-by-day, month-by-month, he became more and more bitter. He refused to work so that he would not have to pay his child support, just to spite his 
ex-wife. He began to write bad checks and finally, he reattached himself to his mother’s tit and sponged off of her to get by.
Then on July 30, 2008, he lured a female acquaintance to the Menomonee River area in Wisconsin, where he sexually assaulted her. On July 31, 2008, his mother informed him that the police were looking for him. After careful consideration, he decided that he “was screwed.” He came up with a plan to teach society a lesson, a little “fuck you” from him.
He went back to the Menomonee River with a rifle and dressed in camouflage clothing. There, he took aim at a group of teenagers swimming in the river and opened fire. He shot and killed Tiffany Pohlson, 17, of Vulcan, Michigan, Anthony Spigarelli, 18, and Bryan Mort, 19, both of Iron Mountain, Michigan. Daniel Louis Gordon, 21, of Kingsford, Michigan, suffered a superficial back wound from shrapnel. Johnson’s plan was that he would shoot all police that responded to the shooting, knowing that he would either be shot and killed by police or spend the rest of his life in 
prison. But his gun jammed so he fled into the woods. After hiding overnight, Johnson turned himself into police.
Now shooting a group of teenagers out for an afternoon swim is evil enough. But it is what Johnson said after he changed his plea to “no contest” that cements his place in the eternal fire pits of hell. He has shown no remorse for ending three young lives. In an interview with the Associated Press, Johnson equates the killing of the teenagers to spilling a glass of milk. He said, ‘‘Do you get all upset about it? No, you just clean it up and get another glass of milk. It might sound sick or sadistic to come off that way but that’s pretty much it.’’
He refuses to apologize to the victims and their families, stating, “I don’t care what they think.” He says that he has replayed the shootings over in his mind, but feels no remorse. He also said of the killings, “It was very easy to kill,’’ he said matter-of-factly. ‘‘Very easy.’’ That sick, spiteful, hateful, 
twisted way of thinking is what makes Scott J. Johnson evil.
He was convicted of three counts of first-degree intentional homicide; six counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide and one count of second-degree sexual assault. Today, he sits in solitary confinement reading mystery books and doing puzzles while awaiting his mandatory life sentence on May 21. He doesn’t expect the judge to give him a chance for parole.
No longer will Scott Johnson worry about paying his child support or sponging off his mother. He will spend the rest of his life as a guest of the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. It’s a damn shame that Wisconsin does not have the death penalty.

Where in the hell is Turtle? If anyone deserves some Turtle-torture, it’s this guy.
I know there are a lot of folks that get bent out of shape when we wish torture on people, but hell. This guy will never feel real remorse for what he has done, people like this only care about themselves. I an only hope that his prison experience will be horrible enough to make him miserable.

Im a Dexter fan, i love him… just the last season kind of was a lot for me to handle… Rita being killed, hope its a dream because I cant imagine what Dexter will do without her… I kind of knew though when Trinity was on the table and said it dont matter know that he had done something bad to Rita, Dexter isnt the kind of guy though to go hurt Trinitys family in revenge, maybe he will take Trinitys son under his wings? Dont know….
It simply is not fair that trash such as this can just take away 3 wonderful lives. It just isn’t right.
I hope his children know that they can be better than this. And the families of these victims know that our thoughts and prayers are with them.

I just have a comment about the death penalty–and it may be far reaching. However; I think this fits the stipulations for such a case. A) There were multiple victims B) The victims were minors and killed by an adult and C) It was heinous, depraved, and especially cruel ( I learned that from the Christopher Payne case–see, you can learn things from PYSIH :)
Anyways, there was a case in Michigan, about a decade ago. The Marvin Gabrion case, and he was sentenced to death by a federal court. Michigan doesnt have the death penalty. It seems he committed a murder on federal land. I was looking into this Menomonee River, and if I was looking right part of it is on federal land.
Maybe the prosecutor prosecuting this case in Wisconsin should look into that, and get the Federal Govt to gas him–or shoot, electrocute, drug, hang, what the hell why not all of the above.
i really believe there should be a seperate set of rules and regulations for monsters like this. i think everyone deserves a fair trial, but if a person like this POS shows no remorse whatsoever there should be another option for putting him on trial, life immersed in water or something like that. i don’t believe in torture except in cases like this.

This asshole was from where I was born. We’re even the same age, which is scary. I grew up on the other side of the river in Niagara, WI. My parents were scared when this happened because they locked down the roads in the entire area. So, he actually ended up terrifying several communities that night. The sad thing is I’m not suprised by his demeanor. There are a lot of unhappy, mean, screwed up, druggie trash, worthless pieces of shit in the Northwoods. You’d be suprised how much drug traffiking goes on. Luckily, I got out. I feel really terrible for those poor kids and their families.

The death penalty is not good enough for this mother fucker. It is too humane, too painless and far too easy. I believe in a greater being… Heaven… Hell… I dont think anyone should stoop to tortureing this idiot because I think the person inflicting it is risking their immortal soul, and in this case he is not worth what God has given you. Cases like this are very sad, and merely talking about what you want done to the asshole brings comfort and that’s why I never get upset when I read about all the ideas PYSIH bloggers have on ways of inflicting pain on these creeps. The pure arrogance and lack of remorse this guy has for his part in ending 3 promising lives definately deserves something worse than 3-hots & cot on our dimes. What happened to “hard labor” punishments… oh they became “inhumane” I think these laws need to be returned. Some crimes deserve harder punishments than others, but this guy admits it and compares it to spilling a glass of milk… pretty disgusting… heart breaking.

Juat an FYI not sure how the state of Michigan works but I know here in Arizona that just because you are in prison your child support still racks up and they can make you work in prison (few cents a day) and it gets sent to who you have to pay child support for. In my opinion though, the mother should have his parental rights terminated so that she doesnt have to be bothered by this vile piece of shit.
Its the same here in Western Australia. My ex racked up $11,000 in unpaid Child Support payments while he was in prison. He worked in the laundry and earned money for that so a precentage of that income was to go towards his sons. Not that i ever actually recieved the money…but thats another story.

Scumbag Johnson has been sentenced. He plead no contest to 10 felonies, for which he received life without parole plus 295 years. Federal prosecutors may also charge him for the same crimes, as he committed them on federal property, using two states to kill. The killing was literally on the Michigan-Wisconsin boarder. One victim was shot as Johnson fired from WI into Michigan and died on the train bridge, which is federal property. The death penalty could be on the table.
The feds need to fry this fucking loser.

Wow! That is beyond evil. Derek, I know I don’t have to tell you this, but that letter is from the perspective of a sick, disgusting, evil person. No one in their right mind would ever agree with anything he wrote.
Even if you hauled ass or hid there is nothing wrong with that. There should NEVER have been any reason for you to have had to make such a split-second decision, and there would not have been if this twisted slug had not decided to hurt innocent people. Here’s the truth about Scott J. Johnson. His ex-wife said he was a loser who couldn’t keep a job, slapped her around and didn’t pay his child support. He couldn’t even get laid without forcing the girl he raped. The shooting was supposed to be his big chance to regain his manhood, and in the end, the real truth is he could even do that.
By the way, there’s been a movement by the Mort family to have Scott Johnson extradited to Michigan to face Federal charges. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Wisconsin has decided not to pursue federal charges against Johnson, but the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan still wants to give it a shot. The area where the crime took place was federal land, and it was on the border of Wisconsin and Michigan. Bryan Mort was actually murdered on the Michigan side of Menominee river, which marks the dividing line between the two states. Here’s the article:
