There are very few things in life that I can say unabashedly that I truly hate: Anyone that hurts an innocent child; mothers that abandon their children to torture or death; bad drivers (not the people themselves, just their lack of basic driving skills); and liver. One of the few things in my entire married life that I have told my husband no to and that is the topic of liver on the menu. I hate the sight of liver, the smell of liver, the very thought of liver. I will not even be in the same zip code when he eats liver (blech!).
But the thing that I hate the most is prejudice. Prejudice can take many forms from hating someone because of the color of their skin, the God that they worship, their sexual orientation, their gender or even the color of their eyes. Prejudice is a malignancy upon the human race, multiplying and growing and it attempts to destroy our humanity. Nothing will turn me into a foul mouthed, hysterical screeching bitch quicker than prejudice.
I guess it is because I grew up with it and saw first hand the destructive power of prejudice to turn ordinary people into demonic hate mongers. That and I consider it to be the biggest form of stupidity, and I don’t deal with stupid people well.
Yesterday, evil visited our nation’s capitol in the form of a worthless human being by the name of James von Brunn. Old Jimmy has a long history of hating everyone across the board, spouting his views on race, religion, or sexual orientation to anyone who would 
listen. Or not. But the group that really got his goat, I mean that really set his teeth on edge, are the Jewish people.
He calmly walked into our nation’s Holocaust Museum and with callous disregard for anyone, starting shooting. Now this is the time of year that Washington, D.C. is really busy with school groups visiting the wonderful museums that dot the landscape of Washington. Did Jimmy have any regard for the children that were visiting the museum yesterday? Nope.
Is this the first time that Jimmy ran afoul of the law? Nope.
Did Jimmy accomplish his goal of murdering anyone of the Jewish faith to bring attention to his agenda? Nope.
No, Jimmy killed a hard-working African-American security guard named Stephen T. Jones, a man just trying to earn a living. Mr. Jones was a 6-year veteran of the museum and died heroically in the line of duty, protecting the men, women and children that were visiting the museum yesterday. Other security guards returned fire, striking von Brunn in the head. He was listed in critical condition and not expected to survive. Awwww.
But if he does, he will face trial for first degree murder and the “killing in the course of possession of a firearm in a federal facility,” which carries a minimum of a life sentence. The murder of Mr. Jones carries the possibility of the death penalty, but since von Brunn is 88 years of age, and has a gaping gunshot wound to the head, I don’t think any of us loyal taxpayers will be paying for old Jimmy long anyway.
Jimmy has a history of violence, anger, rage, racism and wanton stupidity. I highly doubt that Mensa will be using his image to encourage people join their illustrious ranks even though he claimed to be a card-carrying member. In 1983, he was convicted and sentenced to serve more than 4 years in prison for the 1981 attempted armed kidnapping and other Federal charges in what he described as an incidence of “legal, non-violent citizens-arrest” when he tried to take control of the Federal Reserve Board. I guess the revolver, sawed-off shotgun and knife that he carried were just a part of his fashion statement. You know it is terribly difficult to coordinate and properly accessorize your outfit to scream “racist bastard” to everyone that sees you.
Jimbo has claimed a lot of things on his website/blog (which has been taken down). He described his 1983 conviction and himself in his online biography as follows: “convicted by a Negro jury, Jew/Negro attorneys, and sentenced to prison for eleven years by a Jew judge. A Jew/Negro/White Court of Appeals denied his appeal. He served 6.5 years in federal prison. He is now an artist and author and lives on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.”
He claims to have been a PT-Boat Captain, Lieutenant and decorated United States Naval veteran having served in World War II. Now I know a lot of things have changed since I was in college, but weren’t we (the United States) a sworn enemy of Germany in World War II? Just saying…
Jimmy wrote a book that no one would publish entitled “Kill the Best Gentiles” which claimed in its preface to “present white youth with factual information to explain that an age old conspiracy does exist to destroy Western civilization” (oh and he misspelled civilization – guess Jimmy didn’t pay too close attention in school).
Now the word gentile is defined, as an adjective and noun as:
1. of or pertaining to any people not Jewish.
2. Christian, as distinguished from Jewish.
3. Pretty much anyone that is NOT Jewish
Now, given those definitions, why on earth would he title his unpublished book, “Kill the Best GENTILES?” Wouldn’t that send the wrong message to anyone browsing the I am a white supremacist asshole shelf at the local bookstore? Gee, can’t imagine why the traditional publishing houses wouldn’t snap that bad boy up.
von Brunn was a self-proclaimed Holocaust denier, claiming on his blog that “Hitler’s worst mistake was that he didn’t gas the Jews.” Ah, ok again things might have changed since I rode Betsy the dinosaur to school, but I do seem to remember a little aspect of the Nazi’s gassing people, especially of the Jewish faith. People, people, people, if you are going to spout political diatribes and ancient hatred, could you at least ATEMPT to get some of your history straight?
Now I do have a somewhat biased opinion of what happened during the Holocaust as I am married to a first generation Holocaust survivor. Both of my in-laws were incarcerated in camps during the war. My mother-in-law spent almost 3 years in a death camp while my father-in-law spent a little under a year. Neither was of the Jewish faith. My mother-in-law was sent to the camp as a political prisoner (which at 14 years old, how much of a threat to the political process could she have been?) and my father-in-law as a prisoner-of-war. My mother-in-law was a wonderful and feisty woman whom I adored. She would often point to the number on her arm and say, “See? Stalin tried to kill me. Hitler tried to kill me. Where are they now? Rotting. And here I am, still standing and fighting.” (for that to be really effective, you had to hear it with her accent).
My oldest son did a presentation earlier in the year on the person he most admired. He chose his grandmother, whom he had never met as she died while I was pregnant with him. But she left a legacy in the form of journals, detailing her experiences in the years leading up to her incarceration, her time in the camp and the years after. They are hard to read as she describes the murder of her entire family and village. We allowed him to take out these precious family documents from the safety deposit box to show his class during his presentation. It’s startling to see my mother-in-laws face, dressed in the traditional concentration camp uniform. But I swore to her before she died that I would not let my children forget what happened. And I haven’t.
James loved himself and LOVED posting garbage about himself and his beliefs. To say that Jimmy had delusions of grandeur would be putting it mildly. In his mind, he single handedly won the Second World War, is the greatest American artist since Grant Wood, the MOST acclaimed advertising executive since Darrin Stevens of Bewitched fame, better than Martin Scorsese and Ernest Hemingway all rolled into one loveable yet misunderstood geriatric bigot. I agree that they have a right to speak. Al Gore would lump anyone who questions his authority on climate change into the same category as this set of assholes to suit his purposes if we silence this crowd.

First of all, I never really ‘got’ the hating Jews thing. I consider the “hate the Jews” prejudice to be sort of a self-revealing IQ test: I’ve never met anyone who “hated the Jews” who had a brain in their head. As soon as I hear that, I think, “There’s a friggin idiot.”
Secondly, I just can’t get over the fact that this loony was 88 years old. Who in the hell has the energy at 88 to take on a second career as an assassin? It’s making me think of Grandma in a whole new light.

Meekdageek: Anti-Semitism, or the hatred of the Jewish people dates back through ancient times. The first recorded instance of persecution is in third century BCE. In the first and second crusades, 1096 and 1147 respectfully, active persecution, massacre and expulsion were practiced. The Jewish people were actively accused of causing the Plague (black death) in Europe and were executed, tortured and massacred. This persecution and wanton murder continues to this day.
Historians give basically six reasons behind the hatred of the Jewish culture. They are:
1. Economic – the common misconception is that the majority of wealth is controlled by people of Jewish heritage. With perceived wealth, comes power which turns the masses against them. While it is true that throughout the ages, a certain percentage of wealth has been controlled by Jewish people in the form of banks, precious gems, gold, land, etc., it is not an absolute. The majority of Jewish people have fallen in the middle, lower middle and lower classes.
2. Chosen People. The Jewish people believe and teach that they are God’s chosen people as stated in the Old Testament scripture. Gentiles and people of other faiths have decreed this as arrogance and thus have exerted hatred in the old conflict of “my God is better than your God.”
3. Scapegoat. From the dawn of organized religion, the Jewish people have been used as scapegoats for any financial, natural or biological threat. This has usually been done because they represented such a small portion of the population.
4. Deicide. The common misconception that the Jewish elders, and thus the Jewish people as a whole, are the ones responsible for the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It should be noted that Christ was Jewish and although he was in conflict with the Jewish elders, it was Ponitius Pilate, the Prefect of the Roman Empire’s Judaea Province that was the judge at the trial of Jesus and at his conviction, ordered his crucifixion the common form of capitol punishment at the time. It wasn’t until several hundred years after the death of Christ that the “they killed Christ” argument arose. But the Second Vatican council in 1963 officially exonerated the Jewish people, placing the blame solely on Pilate.
5. Outsiders. The Jewish culture is rich in tradition and culture. This is a culture that is formed from a religion. The Jewish faith, laws governing personal issues such as dress, marriage, food, children, education, and religious practices is so foreign to others that they are considered outsiders and therefore must be feared which culminates in hatred.
6. Racial Theory. Many people/cultures consider Judaism to be a race, not a religion. Not true. Judaism is a faith-based religion. Given that in a large number of geographic areas, people of the Jewish faith represent a small percentage of the population, this has been a common misconception dating back to ancient times with the separation of the Tribes of Israel when individuals were identified by their tribe (like a country). Because their practices and believes separate them from the masses, they are feared. During several periods of history, the people of the Jewish faith have tried to assimilate into the majority culture. This was viewed as a threat, like they were secret agents hell bent on the destroy and conquer theory.
I hope this helps. In a nutshell, Jewish people are so different, so alien from us, there must be something wrong with them. If there is something wrong with them, then we must destroy them in order to protect ourselves.
Thank you for the “lesson”. I, too, have always wondered why there is such a hate-on for jewish people, but I have to admit, I still don’t see the logic in it. Confident I have a sound mind, I’ll have to assume their is no logic to such hate and it can only be absorbed and perpetuated by delusional people who see the world much differently (and pathetically) to how I perceive it. Must be incredibly torturous to live life with your mind forever in the gutter, devoid of spirituality.
Personally, I LOVE to hear about others’ cultural and religious facets of life, the meanings behind customs and rituals. Another’s differences have never left me feeling threatened – only fascinated. Well, I should say, that doesn’t include the radicals, in any way, shape or form. I would like to see (maybe I’m dreaming), the fundamentals of all pertinent religions taught in our schools, where knowledge would equal understanding and tolerance, but I imagine people like Jimbo von Bullshit would have an aneurysm at the thought. They prefer to keep the masses ignorant, hateful and spiteful, while they attempt to mask their own shortcomings with grandiose versions of self. Small wonder, really, that ‘normal’ people don’t understand this diatribe.
And blaming Jews for killing Christ? Aren’t people missing the point? Remember Yul Brenner’s line in The Ten Commandments, “And so it is written and so it shall be done”.? To put it simply, it was God’s will to sacrifice His Son so that our sins may be forgiven and provide the opportunity of eternal life. It’s pretty much irrelevant, in the grand scheme of things, who gave the order or who carried it out! The significance resides in how and why Christ died for us. People who use this excuse to hate Jews are so dumb, they can’t even fathom that they’re dumb!

I am all about free speech, the free exchange of thoughts and beliefs and I love the opportunities to learn the internet offers but sometimes I wonder if maybe free speech has gone too far.

A lot of people, including Turner of course, are billing this as a First Amendment issues. It’s not. What it is about is whether or not this egotistical racists asshat has the right to incite people to commit murder. What he did is the equivalent of yelling fire in a crowded movie theater, which is not protected speech as far as the First Amendment is concerned.
Guys like Hal Turner love to hide behind the constitution while they preach the denial of basic civil right to anyone they deem unworthy of them. Are you Black? Sorry, the constitution doesn’t apply to you. Jewish? Can’t help you. Muslim? You’re joking, right? Hindu? Buddhist? Step to the back of the line please.
Yes, unless one fits the narrow definition of a WASP (White, Anglo-Saxon and Protestant). Folks like Hal Turner consider you targets, not human. That makes him a damned fool. The James von Brunns of the world, people who listen to men like Turner and believe it like it was Bible Scripture, make him dangerous. That’s the whole deal, Max. People hiding behind the constitution to deny others the rights the constitution affords – but then again, is it my place to define what a ‘hate’ group is? If I don’t like what is said on Stormfront, I can go to another website. Couldn’t we rightfully define the Southern Poverty Law Center as ‘hate’ group because they oppose what is said on Stormfront? Which came first – the chicken or the egg?
Ultimately, it boils down to personal responsibility – constitution or not, people are going to believe what they want to believe.
All of the racists websites I read argue about as well as my 13 old son does – nothing is ever their fault and they have a right to do whatever it is they want to do and besides, we’re lucky to have them there to show us just how stupid we are.
But, like my son, they never take any real action to correct a perceived threat, just whining about how unfair they’ve been treated. As it turns out, that’s all it is – a perceived threat – a justification to explain their loserdom. It’s not their fault – it’s the jewish control over money, the left-wing media, the blacks commiting crimes, the mexicans taking jobs, the muslims undermining christianity – and they’re all fucking over good white people that want to do nothing more than live in peace, go to work, go to church, and love their wives.
