UPDATE: Lloyd Sherwood Pleads Guilty To Reduced Charges
MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING WAITRESS TIP SENTENCED FOR CHILD EXPLOITATION

April 09, 2009 – A Florida man charged in August with aggravated child molestation after being reported to law enforcement by a Waffle House waitress has been sentenced on lesser charges in Whitfield County Superior Court to eight months in jail and 15 years on probation.
Lloyd Sherwood, 66, of Williston, was indicted in December and sentenced after pleading guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of children. Sherwood has two prior charges of sexual exploitation of children in Levy County, Fla., from August 2008, and two counts of lewd conduct with a child from 1994 in Orange County, Fla.
Sherwood is currently in the Whitfield County Jail. He will be transferred to Florida, said District Attorney Kermit McManus.
McManus said the prior charges, even though they were not convictions, would have been admissible had the case gone to a jury trial.
Sherwood was traveling from Florida to Michigan on Aug. 18 to go camping with two girls, ages 4 and 6, when he stopped at the Waffle House on Connector 3, according to Lt. Nancy Chadwick with the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office. Sherwood took one of the girls into a restroom and stayed for around 15 minutes, raising the suspicions of waitress Karen Griggs.
After Sherwood came out and ordered food, he took the other girl into the restroom. The girls were wearing miniskirts and told Griggs they were going camping. Griggs went outside to look at the car and saw no camping equipment, then called authorities. Sherwood was arrested and the girls were put in the care of the Department of Family and Children Services.
“He is a friend of the girls’ family and he had them with the consent of the parents,” Chadwick said in August.
“The first count is possessing a digital camera of child porn of one of the girls,” McManus explained. “The second count is knowingly bringing that camera with the photographs into the state.”
McManus said Sherwood must register as a sex offender and abide by those restrictions.
“I want to emphasize that these are the only charges to come out of the investigation — the photos of partial states of nudity,” McManus added. “No other action occurred in Whitfield County.”
Public defender Mike McCarthy represented Sherwood.
“I think if the state felt they could prove the molestation charges they would have carried through on that,” he said.
McCarthy said “ordinarily” a defendant has 30 days after a guilty plea to file an appeal if it’s in the same term of court.
“I haven’t heard anything from (Sherwood) directly or indirectly,” he said in that regard. “I do know that he’s requested to have his probation transferred to Florida since he has no community ties here.”
How about those glasses, eh folks. Are Lloyd’s skewed spectacles and white T-shirt a fashion statement, or is there more to it?

absolutely right hazzard. it’s beyond ‘weird’ that the parents would let their daughters out with this pedo. even if they were totally unaware of his prior convictions, i would never, as a parent, let my kids go out with a ‘family friend’ for breakfast, as paranoid as that may sound. alarm bells would be ringing if a man like this wanted to take my young kids out. especially if he looked as creepy as this sick fk.
I wonder how many other children he has done this to. You can bet that there are more victims out there. Fucking old pervert!

The story kind of reminds me of something I heard from my mother, who is a hairdresser. One of her regular clients, an 82 year old woman, came in completely pissed off. My mom asked her what was wrong, and she said that she was going to kill her husband’s doctor. My mom asked why, and she said that her husband had asked for and obtained Viagra from his physician and was busy chasing her around the house for sex twice a day.
Her husband was 86 years old.

To momwhocares, according to the original story on this guy, when the cops asked him why he was in the bathroom for so long with one of the girls, this was his reply:
“Yes, I took her to the restroom. I had to show her how to clean herself so that thing won’t get to stinking.”
Lovely. According to the cops, they found evidence (?) that he’d touched their genitals and had them touch his while on their little bathroom excursion too.
To top it off, the father of the girls told police that he’d discovered nude pics of his daughters in the old perv’s camera, but promptly deleted them himself. Then, for some reason, he still thought it would be a good idea to send his children off with the guy for the weekend!

This lady that worked at the Waffle House is a great person! Thank goodness she took action on her suspicions of this pedo! I don’t even want to think what could have happened to both of these little girls if he had been able to have them alone for a long period of time. Sadly, I’m sure he probably did molest them both in the bathroom and other times. These poor little girls will forever be scarred from their experiences by this twisted fucker! I hope that these two little girls will be able to move forward and have a good future. They deserve the best in life. The waitress is definitely a hero and deserves the best in life, too! As for this sick son of a bitch, I hope they accidentally leave in gen pop for a couple of hours while “accidentally” letting it slip what his charges are. This guy definitely deserves to be the recipient of a little jailhouse justice!
