She may have denied the relationship to the police at first, to protect her “boyfriend”, but the victim told her friend all about it. Why was he alone with the girl multiple times? Why did he disable the security cameras at those times? They have multiple witnesses that either testified or or confessed to these facts, so please don’t tell me it was a set up – it insults everyone’s intelligence.

This is yet another case of sensationalization and yellow journalism.
The facts were not clearly presented. There was no sexual conduct (present in the video interrogation, it was denied repeatedly by the student). The state and the DA shamelessly considered the case a slam dunk modern witch trial, an easy conviction.

The authorities and legal counsel established a plea bargain and duped the defendant into an unlawful sentence. All involved should be ashamed of themselves and sent to prison for perjury.
