An article I read on this case (among the first Google search results for her full name) says that Ava suffered two black eyes alongside the cut nose, which suggests pops was not exactly sanguine about the missing rolls.

Then again, it also says that she hit him with a fireplace poker as well as firing a shotgun at him (presumably missing) which is a hell of an escalation and doesnt fit well with the ‘I was blind’ theory.

Still, Ill reserve judgement on Hell since the facts are unclear.

I kind of hope you were kidding about this.

I am almost certian that the article meant she was legally blind without her glasses. My mother is legally blind without her glasses. This means she can see well (like most people) with her glasses; however, if she does not have her glasses she cannot really see anything-everything’s fuzzy and blurry. She is, therefore, legally blind (without her glasses) because she cannot see well at all.

So legally blind can be just terrible eyesight? I always thought the term meant you were full-on blind. Good to know. Thanks for the info!
