This week, after a long battle with lung cancer, my mother, Barbara Trotter-Brogli, passed away. On behalf of my mother and our family I’d like to sincerely thank all who were responsible for helping to bring Crummel to justice for the murder and molestation of my younger brother, Jamey. I’m thankful that my mother lived long enough to finally receive closure about this most painful chapter of our lives. I only wish that she had also lived long enough to have been able to witness that waste of flesh, Crummel, put to death at the hands of the California penal system.

Considering the stay on all California executions, not to mention the painfully slow pace of the appeals process, I doubt that even I will live long enough to see him put to death. I am comforted by the fact that he’ll remain behind bars for the rest of his life, though, and that, because of this, Crummel will not be able to be put anyone else’s family through what our family endured.

During my mother’s final days, even though she was in considerable pain, she found joy in the prospect of once again being united with Jamey in Heaven. For those of you who have offered your condolences at my mother’s passing, thank you. It’s amazing even now how many lives her life touched and how fondly she has been remembered.

This really bothered me about Jamey Trotter an innocent child. James Crumeel will rot in HELL!. Who could do that to a child ? My heart goes out to all the family for the innocent children. I pray for all of them and GOD bless all of them. The children are in heaven now and are at peace. May GOD bless you!. It really makes me sick that a person can do that do that to another human being and a child. . They should all be sent to death… Sick minds!!!!!!!!!!>

Thank you for your service to your country, county and state. If more people showed up to jury duty and served as admirably as you, part of the problem with the perception of justice might be solved.

I was one of the 12 jurors that sentenced crummel to death in 2004. Reading this story brings all those memories back… I was young (22) and it all went b so fast… I remember it being heartbreaking seeing jamey trotters family in court everyday and listening to all the evidence and seeing all the videos we saw… Crummel had no remorse as the verdict was read and remained very stoic…as he was the entire trial. No matter what I do the rest of my life, I will always have a sense of pride knowing I had a part in exacting justice on him.

This guys hr-hr where-abouts should be investigated, published, and compared to missing boys. The picture of Trotter reminded me of jason wetterling, whom went missing in 1989 in MN. Those missing years have other victims scattered all over the country. Disgusting this guy was out all those years. Pure evil. There are many more victims. Find out where his favorite vacation locations were. Any repeats should be a clue to where the bodies are hidden. Did he vacation in MN?
