When is this sadist going to be executed? What is the holdup?

I just caught the end of an old “Cold Case Files” episode and I recognized Jamey’s picture on the side table from where his mother was being interviewed … then I realized what I was watching. I too went to Giesler Intermediate in Huntington Beach with Jamey and remember him as being outgoing, smart, and a rebel at times. When he disappeared, my friends and I really thought he had ran away and would come back in a few days. That was not to be. I remember at our 8th grade graduation. All our names were called to walk across the stage and accept our diplomas … Jamey’s name was called and both his Mom and Dad walked up the middle aisle, heads hanging down, their body language was as if all the life had been taken out of them. The auditorium was quiet in respect and empathy for what they were going through. I remember tearing up at the time and thinking about it today tears me up as I am a mother of 3 and grandmother of 2 and the thought of this happening to my family is unthinkable. What else is there to say? Jamey nor any child deserves the wrath of the sick, sadistic abusers … and what’s even more sadistic???? Is this creep Crummel sits in prison clothed, fed and protected from people like himself.

The Pima County case was my investigation from 1980 on to Crummel’s conviction. We over came many legal hurdles in this case. Our part of the investigqtion was not enough to protect the victims listed here, especially Jamie Trotter but we did identify this guy and the shrink to the law enforcement world as seriel offenders. I spoke to many investigators as well as people who knew the children (using the cop clinical term of victim now seems so cold) Everyone’s life, incleding my own, has been changed. Crummel was born in January of 1944 and since he was a teenager has been committing troubleing acts.

I would also like to thank who ever put the article together as they did a fine job on recreating what happened.

I have just watched the case of Creepy Crummel and young Jamie Trotter on TV, which in turn brought me to this site. I was looking to see if he had been executed ? I was totally unaware of the extent of his crimes.
You have done an excellent job of putting all this information together. It was horrific reading where some judges and defenders should have some sleepless nights.
My heart goes out to Jamies mother.

This week, after a long battle with lung cancer, my mother, Barbara Trotter-Brogli, passed away. On behalf of my mother and our family I’d like to sincerely thank all who were responsible for helping to bring Crummel to justice for the murder and molestation of my younger brother, Jamey. I’m thankful that my mother lived long enough to finally receive closure about this most painful chapter of our lives. I only wish that she had also lived long enough to have been able to witness that waste of flesh, Crummel, put to death at the hands of the California penal system.

Considering the stay on all California executions, not to mention the painfully slow pace of the appeals process, I doubt that even I will live long enough to see him put to death. I am comforted by the fact that he’ll remain behind bars for the rest of his life, though, and that, because of this, Crummel will not be able to be put anyone else’s family through what our family endured.

During my mother’s final days, even though she was in considerable pain, she found joy in the prospect of once again being united with Jamey in Heaven. For those of you who have offered your condolences at my mother’s passing, thank you. It’s amazing even now how many lives her life touched and how fondly she has been remembered.

This really bothered me about Jamey Trotter an innocent child. James Crumeel will rot in HELL!. Who could do that to a child ? My heart goes out to all the family for the innocent children. I pray for all of them and GOD bless all of them. The children are in heaven now and are at peace. May GOD bless you!. It really makes me sick that a person can do that do that to another human being and a child. . They should all be sent to death… Sick minds!!!!!!!!!!>
