Robert Melia Jr. used to be a police officer in Moorestown, New Jersey. There’s a very good reason why Robert isn’t a cop anymore.
Back in 2008, Robert Melia, 38, and his live-in girlfriend, the beautiful and talented Heather Lewis, were indicted for were indicted together on 45 counts of various charges related to the sexual assaults of all three juvenile females between June 2000 and January 2008. It seems Bobby and Heather had diddled a teenaged girl between August of 2007 and January of 2008, until she finally found enough courage to tell her stepfather about the incidents.
Needless to say, stepdad was a little pissed off, and reported Robert Melia to the Burlington County Municipal Police. Melia was quickly arrested, and suspended from the Moorsetown Police Department. As a matter of routine, a search warrant was executed for Robert Melia’s house, and his personal computer was seized as evidence.
Among other things, police found a large collection of child pornography and a video of Robert Melia sexually assaulting another 
young girl. They also found evidence that he and his girlfriend had assaulted a young boy, and a third teenaged girl.
By the time they were finished, Robert Melia and his girlfriend, the afore mentioned, beautiful and talented Heather Lewis, each faced nearly 45 charges: 11 counts of aggravated sexual assault, one count of aggravated sexual assault, four counts of aggravated criminal sexual contact, eight counts of criminal sexual contact, one count of endangering welfare of a child, five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of invasion of privacy, and 14 counts of sexual assault.
Separately, Robert Melia was indicted on the following charges: One count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of official misconduct.
Lewis was indicted separately on the following charges: one count of criminal sexual contact, two counts of endangering welfare of a child, and three counts of sexual assault.
Score one for the good guys. But the same detectives who nailed Robert Melia for sexually assaulting young girls also found something they weren’t expecting to find. Never in a million years would they have been expecting to find this.
According to documents filed in Superior Court by the Burlington Count District Attorney’s Office, detectives found videos of Robert Melia committing acts of animal cruelty. Specifically, Bob-O here filmed himself being (Jeez, how can I put this delicately?) um, well, being pleasured orally by a calve. A little baby cow that is. Gives a whole new meaning to cow milking, doesn’t it?
Yes, that’s right folks, Robert Melia enjoyed having oral sex with Bossy’s baby. He must have enjoyed it, because police wound up find a total of 5 such videos, and each time there was a different calf involved. Melia was charged with tormenting the beast, “specifically by having a cow perform fellatio upon him,” which translated into 4 counts of cruelty to animals
According to Burlington County assistant prosecutor Kevin Morgan, forcing a young, innocent calve to give him a blow job is the definition of animal cruelty. During a hearing where Morgan attempted to prove just that to a judge, he had this to say:
“I think any reasonable juror could infer that a man’s penis in the mouth of a calf is torment. It’s a crime against nature.”
Like I said people, you can’t make this stuff up. But it gets even better.
State Superior Court Judge James J. Morley presided over this hearing and his decision would make legal history – well, maybe I’m exaggerating, but it did make Bizarro Land history. Basically, what the judge said was that there was no way to know if the calves felt tormented or just “puzzled”.
“If the cow had the cognitive ability to form thought and speak, would it say, ‘Where’s the milk? I’m not getting any milk,’”
He also compared baby cows to little children, and wondered out loud if they felt comforted by the sucking, as a child is with a pacifier.
“They [children] enjoy the act of suckling. Cows may be of a different disposition.”
At least His Honor let us all know he that doesn’t approve of sex with calves, although you could have fooled me, judging by his ruling
“I’m not saying it’s OK. This is a legal question for me. It’s not a questions of morals. It’s not a question of hygiene. It’s not a question of how people should conduct themselves.”
Judge Morley ordered the animal cruelty charges against Robert Melia Jr. be dropped. And so they were – there will be no justice for those five little calves who were so terribly violated. It’s a travesty of justice.
The good news is this decision doesn’t affect the sexual abuse charges in the least. Now all we have to pray that Judge Morley has nothing to do with Robert Melia’s other cases. I’d hate to have to listen to him wax poetic about the hypothetical benefits of early sexual intercourse.

Stories like this need to come with a warning label!!! Geez…all I can scream at this point is…MY EYES, MY EYES!!!! OH HOW THEY BURN!!! That was sick on oh so many levels! I love the whole beautiful and talented…I was actually expecting to see someone attractive…then I found the Beast! Maybe he mistook the cow for his girlfriend…honest mistake!!! This guy and his girlfriend are a couple of sickos (I must ask why his girlfriend is not listed in the title and why she is not up for being sent to Hell).
I am sure I will get some ire for this but as repulsive as the idea of having sex with an animal is to me, if a person is not abusing the animal (i.e. causing the animal fear and pain), then I can’t see sending him or her to Hell. I totally get what the judge is saying. As far as the calf knew, the guy’s penis was just a teet. Anyone who thinks otherwise is personifying the calf. Cows don’t have dignity, cows don’t have pride, cows don’t suffer emotional distress. If he’s not actually hurting the animal, I just don’t he’s doing anything Hellworthy. Simply being gross isn’t Hellworthy. Had he slit the cows throat or beat it with a whip while he was getting blown, that would be Hellworthy.
What bothers me is that this guy getting fellatio from a cow is overshadowing the unquestionable sexual abuse he inflicted on human children.
What scares me is the fact that the judge thought of the whole act and wondered if a cow and a little child have the same feeling about suckling… so I fear that this judge may feel that a baby may not be traumatized by oral sex with a man, but merely puzzled… by the fact that so much sucking produced so little “milk”.
To me this is cruel – knowing that the calf is going to suck until something happens, he exploited the calf’s ignorance and the calf’s need for food. Had the calf NOT been hungry, the calf would have not performed the act.
I would dare assume that after the blow job, he did not feed the hungry calf and probably enjoyed the fact that the starving calf swallowed.
While I believe that God created Man above the animals (we have more worth to God than the animals do) God created make and female within every species for the purpose of true love and sexuality – sexuality is not something that should be shared among different species, esp between man and beast……

Also as far as the girlfriend, if she were ANY of my sexual experiences, I would be ashamed! While I am setting a double standard, the simple fact of the matter is most young girls feel that virginity is something sacred, while most young guys feel it’s a curse. Most young women are saving it for “true love” and those who give ot out freely are sluts, most young guys are willing to give it to the first warm (not necessarily hot) woman that expresses some interest.. Fred- I picked up on that, too. Would it matter if it simply ‘puzzled’ a child while they were being molested? At some point it only matters that an adult is selfishly using a person or being sexually that isn’t capable of giving consent, and in that way an animal IS the same as a child, so they are both wrong. Neither is an inanimate object, like a sock. Although, in this case, I’m guessing even a sock would object to being near these POSs.

Actually, cows do have dignity, pride and emotional distress, they just have it in a different way than you value. That’s why mother cows low for days after being separated from their calves. They aren’t machines any more than a newborn who cries for it’s mother is a machine. Does the newborn have it’s own dignity, pride and emotional responses? Sure. But not in the same way adults do.
That’s why it’s imperative that adults respect that and protect them rather than exploiting them sexually or otherwise. Kind people realize that courtesy applies to animals as well. Your suggestion that sexually abusing an animal is not wrong unless it’s also being beaten or having it’s neck slit bothers me.
Children/infants before a certain age do not really retain memories the way older children and adults do. By your logic, it should be ok to molest them as long as it merely bothers or puzzles them temporarily, and does not also involve beating or other physical pain.
I object to that argument. People who cannot see what is wrong with sexually molesting animals can hardly claim to have personal dignity and pride, because those aren’t really INNATE qualities in humans, they are actions. Instead of worrying about whether a calf should be accorded dignity and pride, perhaps we should be agreeing that when you stick your penis into a calf’s mouth you have just thrown your own out the window.
Statistics show that the majority of abusers begin with animals and work their way up to children and adults, and that’s not just physical abuse, it’s true for sexual abuse as well. For that reason alone, sex crimes with animals should be punished.
Besides, it gives a whole new ick factor to ‘hoof and mouth’ disease.

I guess I did gloss over the sexual assault charges a little for the sake of the humor. Sometimes I do a story just to break up the dark mood that tends to build up around here because of one tragic write up after another. Perhaps it was a bit on the inappropriate side in this case, but I wasn’t trying to minimize what happened to Melia’s human victims in the least.
It wasn’t just you Max. I think we all over-looked it just a little bit. And I think it’s because A LOT of the stories that you read on here are stories of people sexually assaulting kids. But calves? I think that threw all of us for a loop. And with this story in particular, it’s like you’re reading it and you’re thinking “Ugh, jesus, more kids being raped.” and then you keep going and it comes to the next part, and it’s like “What?! Calves?!” Especially what he was doing with them, and I think maybe it’s just a little more shocking. And those of us who frequent this site know that you are not by any means one to make light of children being raped, in fact, I have read you saying time and time again, that that pisses you off more than anything. Wow…..just when you think nothing else you hear will shock you…..BOOM! A police officer molesting girls, boys, and animals. This just goes to show you that you never really know a person! This was a guy who swore an oath to protect and serve, but he was committing some of the most vile and disgusting criminal acts known! This piece of garbage and his POS mate deserve to never see the light of day again! Their poor victims were already having to deal with the trauma of being abused, but then they learn that this man was also having sexual relations with animals. Now these poor victims will have to undergo further testing to make sure that they have not gotten a disease because of Melia having sex with animals. The victims are once again put through another dose of shock and horror because of this bastard.
I hope these two fiends suffer for the crimes that they committed against their innocent victims. I hope the victims and their families will eventually find some peace and be able to heal from these vile crimes. My deepest sympathies and prayers will be with the victims because being a victim of sexual assault is something you never get over.

Not to rain on the parade, but Judge was right, it wasn’t animal cruelty. However, if they had charged him with five counts of beastiality, those would stick.
