‘WOODED RAPIST’ RECEIVES 32 YEARS FOR 2007 RAPE

The alleged “Wooded Rapist” Robert “Jason” Burdick was sentenced to 32 years Wednesday for the November 2007 rape of a 61-year-old woman.
A Nashville jury in April found Burdick guilty of two counts of aggravated rape and one count of aggravated burglary in the 2007 case.
He received two 16-year sentences for the rape convictions, which he will serve consecutively, and a three year sentence for the burglary, which will be served concurrently.
During sentencing, Burdick’s victim explained why she decided to go through the lengthy trial process.
“I think it’s very important to get that type of person off the street, so they don’t commit that same type of crime again,” she told the court.
She said the incident has made her “more conscious” of her surroundings saying, “If I hear a creak at the house, it makes me wonder if somebody’s coming across the floor.”
Prosecuting attorney Roger Moore said the victim was very happy with the court preceedings.
“She is very gratified by the jury verdict, obviously, and that the court system has stood behind her and in essence, all victims of crimes,” he said.
When asked if his client expressed any remorse, Burdick’s attorney, John Herbison, said no.
He told News 2, “Our client’s position is that he didn’t do what he was accused of, so that would answer the question as to remorse.”
Herbison said he plans on filing a motion for a new trial and a motion to acquit Burdick on the two aggravated rape charges.
Burdick was arrested in May 2008 and linked to the rapes of more than a dozen women in Davidson, Williamson and Wilson counties between 1994 and 2008.
He is charged in the following attacks:
Davidson County:
* 1994: Breaking into a home on Franklin Pike and raping a 38-year-old woman in the early morning hours of March 1.
* 1998: Breaking into a home on Otter Creek Road and raping a 22-year-old woman in the early morning hours of November 20.
* 1998: Breaking into a home on Priest Road and attempting to rape a 36-year-old woman in the early morning hours of December 29.
* 1999: Breaking into a home on Reagan Run and raping a 45-year-old woman in the early morning hours of September 9.
* 2000: Breaking into a home on Tusculum Road and raping a 29-year-old woman in the early morning hours of February 18.
* 2005: Breaking into a home on Otter Creek Road and attempting to rape a 26-year-old woman in the early morning hours of June 28.
* 2006: Attempting to rape of a woman in the yard of her Otter Creek Road home on August 10.Williamson County:
* 1999: Breaking into a home in the Mooreland Estates subdivision in Brentwood and raping a 48-year-old woman and her 16-year-old daughter on the evening of March 31.
* 1999: Breaking into a home in the Foxland Hall subdivision and raping a 17-year-old girl in the early morning hours of November 2.
* 2004: Breaking into a home in the Meadowlake subdivision and raping a 46-year-old woman on the afternoon of November 4.Wilson County:
* 2008: Raping a 16-year-old girl outside her home off Highway 109 in Mt. Juliet on February 1.
Burdick has a trial scheduled to begin in August in Williamson County and one scheduled to begin in October in Davidson County.

He has been charged in all of these attacks… will he be tried for them too?!
If that doesn’t get life in prison or death penalty, then what does? How many more women does he need to rape?
If he has been charged, chances are he will also be tried :) Unless he makes a deal or pleads guilty!

Apparently this ‘man’ can’t handle the responsibility of having a penis, and should therefore be relieved of it. A penis is NOT a weapon to be used against women because you are a violent scumbag! It is for peeing through, having sex with other willing humans, making your pants look good, surprising the populace when you’re wearing a kilt, and occasionally for drunkenly waving at adults who make you angry in bars. Other than that.. BAD!

What’s the difference between consecutively and concurrently?
Does he get 32 years and and while he’s serving those terms the three years counts? Or does he get 16 years and THEN serve those three?
Consecutively means he’ll serve those sentences one after the other, for a total of 32 years. Concurrently means he’ll serve the 3 years at the same time as the 32 years – in effect it adds no time to his sentence.
