I’m Hispanic. And Hispanics like you and your brother make me sick and embarrassed. But tell your brother not to worry, he’ll “man up” in jail – man up and man out… you better buy him some KY Jelly.

There’s been enough of these types of incidents already, before Mr. Price was ever attacked, to show that guys like Aleman and Rodriguez don’t need a reason to beat up some faggot.

Not to mention that Aleman and Rodriguez started this altercation by taunting Price with antiigay slurs, and kicked his ass even though he offered no resistance. They’re obviously a couple of punk cowards out looking for an easy target to beat up so they could feel like men for a few minutes.

‘Straight men’ who hate gay men are hating something they don’t want to admit in themselves. Those haters are too terrified to come out of the closet, so they must antagonize those who are courageous and self-honest enough to be themselves, to prove to the ‘straight man’ and those around him that the ‘straight man’ isn’t gay.

It’s mostly subconscious on the part of the homophobe, but terrifically obvious when you see it in action. It usually comes from the guys who go out of their way to appear manly and tough all the time. All guidos are suspect. ;)

Anger sometimes is a byproduct of fear. It can help protect a person from, and help the person fight, the thing he fears. Anger and fear both generate and are fueled by adrenalin, another thing they have in common.

You pinned homophobia as a fear reaction. You’re so right. Homophobia is nothing more than a man or woman reacting angrily to the fear that they, themselves, are gay. They’re physically or verbally lashing out at their fear to keep its cause at bay. The whole thing makes me want to slap and shake some people (women are guilty of homophobia too) to hopefully help them see what a stupid ass they’re being.
