    Christopher Swiridowsky

Christopher SwiridowskyI don’t like hit and run drivers. They really aggravate me, especially the ones who injure or kill people and take off because they are cowards and just can’t face what they’ve done.

The jackass pictured on the left, Christopher Swiridowsky, age 30, of Providence RI, took hit and run driving to a whole new level early Sunday morning when he fled the scene of an accident with one of his victims impaled on the windshield of his car. How fortunate for us that before he did this he took this ridiculous picture of himself and posted it on his MySpace homepage. Very fortunate indeed.

The incident started when a two-car accident occurred on Route 95 South inside the city limits of Providence RI. The Rhode Island State Police said the cars, driven by Jose Flores, 24, and Michael Abrames, 33, ended up blocking the far left lane. Christopher Swiridowsky’s car first struck the left rear corner of Abrames’ vehicle, pushing it into Abrames. Swiridowsky’s car continued on, striking Flores and a passenger in Flores’ car, Efron Trinidad, 28, causing Flores to become lodged in the windshield.

Christopher Swiridowsky 2Christopher Swiridowsky then drove off, followed for a mile and a half by another motorist, Albert Garcia, who contacted the state police by cell phone. Swiridowsky got off the highway and eventually stopped the car in a parking lot, where he actually had the audacity to ask Mr. Garcia a most amazing question.

“I was chasing him. I stopped my car. That’s when he got out of his car and asked me ‘why are you following me?’.”

Well I’m not sure Chris, but it might be the bleeding man who’s sitting half way through your windshield. Just a guess of course.

After confronting Albert Garcia, Christopher Swiridowsky again left the scene, this time on foot. Cops found him hiding in a closet in the basement of his house and arrested him, according to the state police.

As you may have figured, Jose Flores is the worse off of the three injured men. He is currently being treated for life-threatening injuries in the Intensive Care Unit of Rhode Island Hospital. Efron Trinidad is also in the ICU listed in critical condition with numerous sever injuries. Michael Abrames was lucky – He was treated and released at Rhode Island Hospital.

Christopher Swiridowsky faces three counts of leaving the scene of an accident after injury and one count of obstructing a police officer. He was arraigned in Providence District Court and ordered held on $25,000 bail by Judge Michael A. Higgins, who also ordered Swiridowsky held Tuesday as an alleged bail violator stemming from a July drug charge he was facing.

Inside their own minds, some men believe they’re courageous, some aren’t sure one way or the other, and some are afraid they might be cowards at heart (perhaps they ran away from the only fight they were in as a teenager).

Eventually, when the chips are down and playtime is over, we find out whether a man is one or the other. His actions speak for themselves when he’s faced with a serious situation and a choice.

That’s all I have to say about this video.

These are not men, these should not even be given the dignity of an animal, for they have no soul. These are he extreme products of the “me” generation – people that think that once they walk away from something, it’s no longer their problem. These are also probably the first people to scream if their fries are cold…..

While I am not God, nor has God asked me for any advice, I’d dare say that this bastard is going to hell simply because of the way he acts. I am sure that he thinks he’s a good person who has done a few bad things, but after all he’s no Hitler (6,000,000 dead) or Chairman Mao (70,000,000 dead). But I am sure that he’ll be crying to stay on the doorsteps of the Pearly Gates when he finds out that he does not own Heaven and that there is a God beyond himself…….

Yeah Fred, I remember that deal too. Someone called the cops and told them where the car was, and where he was, even though he tried to hide it. The guy was a total piece of shit.

DRIVER GETS FOUR YEARS IN DERBY MOM’S HIT AND RUN DEATH
by Greg Shulas – The Connecticut Post

February 5th, 2004 — A Shelton man convicted of killing a Derby mother of two in a hit-and-run accident apologized to the victim’s family Wednesday before a Superior Court judge sentenced him to more than four years in prison.

Wade Murphy, 42, spoke somberly as he begged for forgiveness in the Sept. 20, 2002, death of Claudia Woodford, 31, who was crossing Derby Avenue in Derby when she was fatally struck by Murphy.

“He is sorry for the tragedy,” said the Special Public Defender Michael Boynton said after Wednesday’s sentencing. “He is sorry for what happened. He asked if the family would forgive him in the hardness of their hearts.”

Murphy, wearing a sport coat, tie and dress pants, stood before Judge Patrick Carroll as he was sentenced to a 10-year prison term, suspended after four years and four months served, with five years of probation.

Murphy drove the silver Volvo that struck and killed Woodford, 31, while she helped children cross Derby Avenue, a busy thoroughfare plagued by accidents and speeding motorists.

Woodford, carrying 14-month-old Jack Andrews in her arm, was hailed as a hero because she shielded the toddler from the crash, apparently saving his life at the cost of her own. She suffered severe head trauma and internal injuries, and died two days later.

Paul Gaetano, supervisory assistant state’s attorney for Derby Superior Court, described how Murphy immediately fled the accident scene after hitting Woodford.

“[Murphy] got out of the vehicle, looked at the woman lying on the street, and got back into his vehicle,” Gaetano told the court.

On Sept. 21, Shelton police, acting on an anonymous tip, traced the car to Murphy’s residence. Officers questioned Murphy, who admitted that he had driven it a day earlier, Gaetano said.

“He was asked if the vehicle was his. He said, ‘yes,’ ” Gaetano said.

Four of Woodford’s loved ones spoke during the sentencing, offering the court a glimpse of how Murphy’s actions tore their lives apart.

Don Woodford, the victim’s husband, expressed profound sadness.

“She was not only my wife; she was my soul mate, my best friend and the mother of my beautiful children,” he told the court, reading from a statement. “She was the best thing that ever happened to me.”

The accident robbed Don Woodford of the future that he planned to have with his life partner, said the family lawyer, David Ganim of Stratford.

About 20 other family members and friends attended the sentencing. Woodford’s supporters showed the court three pictures of her, each showing a smiling, vivacious woman enjoying the company of others.

In December, Murphy pleaded guilty to felony evading responsibility. He also pleaded no contest to a second charge of negligent homicide with a motor vehicle. By pleading no contest, Murphy did not admit guilt but agreed not to challenge the charge against him.

As part of a plea bargain, prosecutors dropped other charges against Murphy, including operating a motor vehicle while under suspension and having no insurance.

Prosecutors said Murphy got out of the car and looked at Woodford as she lay in the roadway before fleeing in his Volvo. On Sept. 21, 2002, police received an anonymous tip and traced the car to Murphy’s residence. Officers questioned Murphy, who admitted that he had driven it a day earlier.

Conditions of Murphy’s probation, the judge said, require that he participate in substance abuse programs and receive mental health treatment and evaluation. He is barred from driving until state authorities deem it safe.

Paul Gaetano, supervisory assistant state’s attorney for Derby Superior Court, said he was pleased the victim’s family can now move on with their lives.

“It helps bring closure to a horrible tragedy,” he said.

After the Woodford tragedy, state and city officials led a successful effort to get safety improvements on Derby Avenue, a bustling thoroughfare plagued by accidents.

Another asshole that uses the “no contest” plea to get out of admitting guilt. Look man, you either did it, or you didn’t. There’s no fucking in between. This is just another case of a guy pretending to be sorry for what he’s done, pretending to accept the consequences of his actions. Obviously he’s most concerned about the wrongful death lawsuit that’s almost sure to come. Murphy certainly deserves to lose a judgment to Don Woodward, if Woodward chooses to sue, and a guilty plea to the negligent homicide beef would guarantee that Murphy would lose.

    9. Fast Eddy says:

Wow! First! I can’t believe i’m the first one to post this. Don’t any of you guys remember the story of Chante Mallard? This article reminded me of her. In short, She got drunk then high on ecstasy at a club, drove home and hit a homeless man on the highway, whom got stuck halfway in her windshield. She drove home parked in the garage while the man still alive begged and moaned for help. She then finished her night off by having sex with her boyfriend. The following day the man still alive and begging for help from her was ignored. He subsequently died and she called a couple of friends to help dispose of the body at a local park.

She probably would have gotten away with all this had she kept her mouth shut. But at a party 4 months later she drunkenly confessed to others what happened. A person then when to the police with the story and they searched her home and found the damaged car with blood and other evidence, etc. The coroner stated that the man could have lived had she gotten him medical care at point within 48 hours from the time of the collision. Now thats cold!

PS She was sentenced to 50 years in prison (she was 25 at time of accident; homeless guy 37)

    12. michael says:

This man Christopher whom you people seem to literally and figuratively hang for “immoral injustice” has been through a life of inconsiderable pain and loss. All of you whom sit on your high pedestal seem to think you have the right of judgment to condemn a good and honest man to the fiery depths of hell. This man is a devout christian and a community leader among our pasture. He has devoted his life to change the negative outlook among those of the widely used phrase “morally corrupt youth” in other words he is a role model to young adults who seem to have lost sight of the big picture(for those with comprehension problems).
He is an honest and clean cut individual that has had his fair share of problems and has preceded to make a full roundabout to become a role model citizen. Those of you who seem to think the media tells nothing but truth must be plain moronic. His experience, though it is one of horror to anyone viewing from the outside in, neglect to swap perception to that of this man of whom this despicable abomination of a site so ridiculously exploits. Take your blinders off and see the truth behind the false liberal medias flamboyant left and right wing charade. It was a traumatic ACCIDENT! There is a reason they call them that you know!
Had the road conditions not been hazardous and had there not already been an accident in the high speed lane you all would have nothing to gawk at. Instead you are portraying this man as a bafoon and stating that his picture alone condemns him? It was a HALLOWEEN photo from his myspace of which you savages have cut off his line of communication to the outside world, Thanks to your unequivickable desire to mock those who have fallen upon misfortune.
As he was headed down I95 on that dreadful night there were a series of events that unforeseen to Christopher and the other gentlemen involved that turned into chaos for all parties involved. The man suffered extensive Head Trauma in this crash and was attempting to pull out of the high speed lane of traffic to AVOID another crash! Had this so called “Good Samaritan” not furiously tried to run Christopher off the road while attempting to pull his vehicle to safety he would not have continued to drive for that duration of time after the accident. Fleeing someone who is chasing you down might seem like an “outrageous” thing to do, but you people don’t seem to grasp his MASSIVE HEAD INJURY! It is called a concussion, a massive one if i may say so. Which for those to illiterate to study up on this, it is a fracture of the skull resulting in a swollen brain. For those who seem to think they have the right to judge that of Mr Swiridowsky’s moment of inevitable fright and ensuing chase down the highway by a crazed wannabe cop might want to put themselves in his shoes for one moment.
As Christopher’s friend and colleague I have spoken personally to him about his feelings regarding the incident and involved parties. He has stated, if i hadn’t tried to avoid the truck swerving in the slow speed lane in front of me, trying to prevent one accident there still would have been an accident. If not me, the next person who came around the corner.
I hadn’t known there was anyone outside their vehicle! I shifted to avoid the truck in front of me and proceeded to change lanes when it felt like I hit a brick wall. When I woke from my daze my first thought was holy S*** I have to get to the brake down lane.
As soon as I was about to pull off and this white truck came barreling up behind me, seeing triplicate and partially blinded with glass in my eye battered and bloody I sped up and tried to pull off but this truck kept getting closer and closer like he was going to ram me! Beeping his horn and flashing his lights at me, I had no choice but to pull off the next exit, stop my car and get out. I had no time to even inspect my vehicle when this truck comes screeching around the corner and boxes my car in. I yelled, why are you chasing me!? and ran in fear that someone was going to do harm to me.
Chris has stated that for all parties and parties family’s involved if there is any way that he can help weather by prayer or any other means he may help, to please step forward and accept his shout of blessings so that he can help ease their tensions in their most traumatic and misfortunate of times. He praises god for taking in his prayers and making sure that these individuals are alive and breathing and also regrets deeply that something like this has happened at such a period in life where nothing seems to have gone right. He has also written poems and prayers to both parties involved and hopes that they might shine some light in these darkest of times.

you judge us for judging but yet you do the same? hmmmmmm sounds like you are a shitstain on life that needs to be wiped and flushed. Just like the scumbag you are defending. He fled the scene of an accident. He had another human being lodged on his windshield then fled the scene again to escape arrest. How guilty is that?

Tookie Williams shot and killed 4 people at close range with a shitgun, started one of the most brutal gans in our history yet he co-wrote a kids book. WOW. He’s still feeding worms. You get my point? I doubt it. But I still have to try.

I gives a fuck about how wonderful you think he is. I’ll bet you miss suckig his ass don’t you? No more brown round for you is there?

Christopher Swiridowsky is a scumbag and you are a shitstain for coming here and defending him. I hoope you rot in hell just as he does.

      • Max The Cat says:

Well, Well, Well, Michael. It’s not very often when I get to take on an arrogant Christian asshole like you, so I really want to thank you for your comment. Correct me if I’m wrong, but is the crux of your argument this: that a man like Christopher Swiridowsky, who loves the little baby Jesus as much as he does, could never behave in the way all those witnesses say he did. You are right about one thing – I did use this picture to embarrass him as much as possible, but I had good reason to.

You see Mikey, I wrote this story. That means I had to research what exactly happened. Now you say Christopher told you he pulled off I-95 at the next exit and pulled over – that’s a bald faced lie. In reality he had turn onto Branch Street after getting of the highway, then turn onto Livingston Street and Mechanics Avenue before pulling into the National Office Products parking lot. You’re from the Providence area – you should know that. Are you a liar too?

And I saw video of Christopher’s arraignment. He looked pretty good to me for a guy with a MASSIVE head injury. Let me explain something to you about sever concussions – one thing that happens to people with severe concussions is they lose consciousness. They certainly don’t drive off, engage in high speed chases, and flee on foot for long distances.

The man who followed Christopher, Albert Garcia, followed him for almost a mile before Chris even noticed he was being followed. Garcia said he then began driving erratically, trying to lose him for another mile before getting off the highway. This was verified by the Rhode Island State Police. Besides, I’ve already caught your friend in two lies, so who do you think I’m going to believe?

You make me sick Michael, with your phony Christian values. You haven’t got clue one about what it take to be a true Christian, and you have the nerve to come here and preach to us. Save your hypocrisy for Bible study asshole. My people here know more about living a Christ-like life than you could even imagine. The day you can feel the pain of a victim, a person you don’t even know, is the day you might understand what I’m talking about.

I do believe the original accident was just that, an accident, but everything Christopher did from that point on is on his head, and his conscious. He owes his victims much more than poems and prayers.

    13. vcbecky says:

How dare he pray for ANYONE! How dare he be so self-righteous, callous and cruel! He’s a role model to young adults? You seriously think any self-serving crap he did in the past negates the heinousness of his crime? He writes POEMS and PRAYERS, you say? What an amazing asshole he is! What an amazing asshole you are!

Please, if he’s a community leader, stay in your pasture with the rest of the dumbasses. Get the flock out of here, you blind follower. Not all of us are sheep.

I am absolutely blown away by your post, your opinions, and your bullshit. If I was face to face with you right now, I’d punch you dead between the eyes and stomp on your neck once you fell. It’s creatures like you and Mr. Swiridowsky who help maintain my ‘devotion’ to athiesm.

Throat stomping is so much more fun.

At an AF show once there were these lil nazi freshcut skins there. About 9 of em. Anyway I just wanted to watch the show and have a few brews with my friends. The kiddies got thier panties in a bunch and came over to us talking shit. One called my then wife a whore and I floored him. I stepped on his throat till his eyes bugged out and I asked him nicely to apoligize to my wife. He did 5 times. I had a “problem” with my hearing and well it took some time. He turned 3 shades of blue. I had trouble not laughing at his expression.

Was a good fight outside after. 6 of us against 8 of them. We stomped thier heads. Went back in and had a few more beers.

      • VCBecky says:

Aw Mulch, I’m sorry about your divorce. What is it about women and money? Yet another reason I have few female friends. There are lots of chicks in this world, but very few women.

I want a melee dummy, but my yard space isn’t big enough. I’d want swords, morning star, mace, hammer, flame thrower, etc. plus every possible power tool. Makita preferred – those batteries run forever! A few shuriken…mmmm. I’d have to steer clear of the nunchucks. I’d end up clocking myself in the buttcrack, and that’s no way to purge the angries.

Basicly our marriage turned to shit. I took a new office job that kept me at home. Only problem we had to move. Me and m daughter no probs. She hated it.

As sad as it is I chuckled over that..mostly in disbelief that you actually believed the garbage you spew out. He didn’t have time to inspect his car? I don’t know about you but I’d think a man stuck in your windshield would be pretty dam obvious..along with the fact it would block most of your view glass in your eye or not. If he could see well enough to drive away then he could dam well see enough to notice the poor man stuck in his windshield.

I totally agree with Max on the religious views. Your a disgrace to yourself and your religion the way you use it here. God may forgive for sins that you’ve done..but as they say what is forgiven isn’t always forgotten. There’s still a price to pay for what happened. You should re-read your commandments..he left a man to die a gruesome death stuck in his car instead of seeking immediate medical care for him. Even though the man didn’t die (yet) in my opinion he as good as broke the 5th commandment. I honestly believe hitting them was truly a accident, but the driving off with a man lodged in your windshield isn’t a accident. That’s cold hearted callousness if I ever seen it.

This is why I have no respect whatsoever for drunk drivers and idiots who hit and run. They don’t deserve to have people comment upon how they show “remorse so maybe they’re not so bad”. They are. You drink and then drive, and then don’t expect to have to deal with your actions because you “show remorse” and “weren’t in control of yourself”. Well whose fault was that?

Remorse or not, both these type of people are cowards. They can’t face up to their actions, they blame it on other things or avoid it altogether. Its pathetic.
