@Xnxnxhd, you’re an illogical person. Illegal aliens are killing Americans at alarming rates. Do you think a piece of excrement like this pig would care if he was here legally? He was stealing. He got caught. People like you make me sick. Maybe if someone close to you is personaly harmed by illegal aliens (they’re not immigrants), you’ll view things differently.

And, the Catholic Church not only protects and defends these people, but it wants blanket amnesty and wants more liars, thieves, rapists and murderers brought here to fill up their empty churches. Better think about that people!

Agreed. I am disturbed that the murderer will eventually be released from jail. But I can’t place blame for the murder on anyone but the murderer.

Horrible crime, but if people are going to bring illegal immigration into this then they also need to bring up how ridiculously long and convoluted the process for legally immigrating is in the USA. Maybe if the US’ immigration laws weren’t pants-on-head retarded, there’d be less problems with illegal immigration.

Fix immigration laws while strengthening border security.

For anyone still reading this thread I know its old but believe it or not I never knew about this case. The year this happened was a difficult year for me stress wise and I was travelling a lot. But I am still surprised because living on the WEST coast where illegal immigration and crimes are a hot topic, this story seemed to have slipped between the cracks……….

Sassy Lou, are you kidding me?? You are excusing the premeditated and vicious murder of a HUMAN BEING because your heart bleeds endlessly for someone who (as you put it) supposedly didn’t have enough to eat for dinner – your theory, not anyone elses’… and wow, I thought I had a heart for people who can’t make ends meet but you – TAKE THE CAKE.

I truly believe that even if it were YOUR own mother, sister or daughter strung up like a dirty animal by this “poor” impoverished (illegally residing/working) Piece of filth you’d still back him up with excuses. You disgust me for I AM ONE OF THOSE hardworking but barely making anything people. I’ve scrubbed toilets, I’ve wiped behinds, I’ve taken sh*t from crappy bosses and I’ve watched good things happen to mean people and bad things happen to good people and while I believe our society could use a good swift kick in the A*S and I think our Gov’t is steeped in corruption, I WILL NEVER BLAME people who do have money for my woes. Nor will I excuse another persons criminal behavior because they’ve had a tough life.

Your comment sickens me. If ever I decide to join a revolt I’ll be sure to avoid the likes of your kind. My last comment…is about people, particularly women who are alone – KEEP YOUR DOORS SHUT AND LOCKED! Many crimes can be avoided with just the turn of a lock. Though it’s pretty clear this criminal would have likely managed to commit some kind of crime anyway, had Mrs Shelley acted with caution she may have still been with us but the real blame lies with the company who hired this psychopath and I hope the lawsuit goes well for Mr. Ostroy.

You know what sucks about all this…other than the result of the damaged lives in the aftermath.

it would’ve NEVER have happened if PEOPLE are paid a LIVING WAGE…when a few bucks stolen..makes a big enough difference in someone’s income that the motivation to rob becomes the reality.

IT IS A TIME TESTED TRUTH..that when people struggle to make ends meet..they WILL resort to survival…because to most its either that or prison..either is better than not having anything at all.

I am FOR LEGISLATION PROPER PAY and HEALTH FOR ALL PERSONS and the fight against poverty. Having the realistic possibility for a hopeful future FOR ALL and not just a small few must become the new REALITY otherwise…we are in for some REAL scary times..you can forget about terrorists..it will be economically homegrown poverty that you will be all scared about.

This murder would not have happened if this guy knew he could work..go get a beer after and go to a home and watch TV in peace..but obviously…he risked a a wad of cash..so he could at least have rent…if that. Janitors in France are extremely proud..because they have a living wage and free healthcare…they don’t give a crap about what anyone else thinks. You just don’t see this shit over there. THEY TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN FIRST.

As our economy gets worse…by each day, month and year..we will see more of this..because few people HAVE EVERTHING and everyone else works their fuckin asses off..with no hope in the future. Every nasty revolt in history is due to oppression and suppression. We all can judge hime and say WE would never do that..but let me tell you something..you take any wealthy upper middle class folk..they would NOT be able to deal with poverty.

This is why you had people jumping from buildings in downtown Manhattan the days following the Great Crash of 1929. Wealthy investors had no intention and could not mentally handle living in poverty. Plus there are a few jumpers these days also..you can read about in the news. (i.e. the guy who went to see a rental unit in a hi rise..and jumped off balcony while the agent stepped away) due to no ability to earn income anymore and increasing debt to sustain some kind of living ability.

It’s so easy for us to sit here..in our cozy, stable jobs or steady invested incomes and not be put in a poverty situation. Trust me…most of us..taking our money and ability to be “given” income away….we could not handle ONE WORK shift under heavy labor such as package lifting, transit work, construction work, etc.

I know people living in gated communities that would die first if they lost it all.

I’m afraid that the reality of this case is even worse than you heard in the ‘official’ version. If you look at the bizzare story Pillco told as part of the plea-bargain, then it makes even less sense than the strange tale he trotted out in police custody. A plea-bargain is a compromise between the Prosecution and the Defence to reach some kind of an ‘acceptable’ result. It is not the truth.
This was NOT a opportunistic robbery gone bad. At the sentencing, Shelly’s husband called Pillco a ‘stalker, rapist and cold-blooded killer’. A position backed up the the NYPD officers who investigated the case. Pillco – an obsessive fan of Spanish horror flicks – killed Shelly on the Day of the Dead, the most significant date in the occult callendar. After he staged Shelly’s suicide, he erased almost every trace of forensic evidence and then calmly went back downstairs to finish his shift The first forensic investigation found nothing. It was the second – insisted on by Shelly’s husband – that found the shoeprint that led to Pillco’s arrest.
This was the cold-blooded, predmeditated murder of a celebrity by a stalker. The most ironic thing about it is, Pillco did not actually know that the person he was stalking WAS a celebrity. He stalked her as a woman and not as an award-winning actress and film-maker. She could have any woman in the city!
