Jermaine Ruiz is that not-so-rare kind of man that women just seem to go gaga over. Jermaine has those good looks, that casual charisma, that jealous nature and the crazy behavior that women line up around the block for in order to mate with.
Good ol’ Jermaine was known around his neighborhood as someone who would exhibit wild mood swings, often coming into local stores with an attitude that could be described as, “Not nice.”
According to a local deli worker:
Sometimes he came in a little crazy. Sometimes he comes in nice and sometimes not nice. When he wasn’t nice, he’d boss us around. He comes in like, ‘I want something! I want this!’
Yes, Jermaine Ruiz is all alpha male, which he showed to the world on the 20th of January, 2010.
That was the Friday night when he decided that he just wasn’t going to take it anymore.
What was it?
Well, it was the fact that his girlfriend, 22-year-old Jessica Ybe, had mated with another alpha male – an alpha male who was currently in prison and who was going to be getting out soon.
Jermaine Ruiz, who had fathered fraternal twins with Jessica Ybe 7 months prior to this argument, felt that the fact that his babys’ momma wanted to continue her relationship with this other man was unacceptable.
Jessica Ybe, who had a 5-year-old and a 2-year-old from two previous nights of passion, got all up in Jermaine’s face, yo. She told him, in no uncertain terms, that she was going to have sex with whoever she wanted, whenever she wanted.
And, when you consider that out of her vagina may one day spring the person who eventually cures cancer, who are we to tell her that she might want to stop at 4 kids with 3 dads?
Ain’t nunya bidness, world. Stay out of her way.
Well, Jermaine Ruiz had a problem with her plans to have sex outside of marriage. And – respecting her exceptional uterus powers – Jermaine decided that the best way to end an argument about her having sex with another man would be to end her ability to have sex with another man.
So, after engaging in an extensive yelling match outside their apartment building, and after they slugged each other a few times inside the apartment building, Jermaine grabbed a knife and got all stabby.
Jermaine Ruiz started out by stabbing Jessica Ybe more than a dozen times. That resulted in her death.
Not satisfied with one death, Jermaine Ruiz went on a stabbing trifecta, plunging his blade home more than a dozen times each into both Jessica’s 5-year-old and her two-year-old. That resulted in two more deaths.
All that stabbing made Jermaine Ruiz a bit tired, so he left the bodies where they were and went to sleep. He might have checked in on the 7-month-old twins as they slept in the same apartment as their dead mother and dead half-sisters – but he probably didn’t.
The next day, after taking his own, living children to his mother’s house, Jermaine Ruiz told his mom what he’d done to the rest of his household. His mom, taken aback, notified the authorities about what her son had told her.
When the authorities stopped by Jermaine’s apartment to have a word with him, they discovered that he’d been busily working out the best way to cover up his crime.
Jessica Ybe was mostly wrapped up in plastic garbage bags, with her two little girls rolled up into a carpet with plastic bags on each end – presumably to keep their blood from leaking out.
The evidence at the scene was enough for police to place Jermaine Ruiz under arrest and led to Jermaine being charged for several counts of murder.
Does Jermaine Ruiz deserve Hell?

So just so I’m clear, Psycho here thinks he can inflict an “honor killing” (so to speak) on his ‘baby’s mama’ (not WIFE – as if that mattered in the right to take a life) for not surrendering the (all-too)free will of her ladyparts. And then to drive the point home, he murders two innocent children with the same knife he used to kill their mother (also the mother of his own children), CONFESSES, and THEN returns to poke around the murder scene a bit? Does that about sum it up?

It’s tough to say something like that without sounding racist, but I think you’re right. I believe I read about some breed of monkey who, if another male kills or drives off the Alpha Male, he also kills all of that monkey’s babies to take over. I think one of the big cat breeds does it too. It’s all about dominating the harem, and I think it even brings the females into heat via some sort of empty nest/desperate uterus syndrome or something. Only the strong survive, etc.

The woman was a slut. O.K., that was her choice thought I do feel sorry for her kids. They shouldn’t have died for her lack of self respect, and neither should she. It’s not like she hid her attitude, so why was he so upset? She was a slut, not a liar and either way it doesn’t justify what he did.

She was breaking up with this thug to be with a guy who was about to be released from prison and it appears she was spitting out kids since she was 17 years old.. She made poor decisions. She did not deserve to die for her poor decisions and neither did her children.. unfortunately when she was picking these thugs as boyfriends ~ she was also allowing them to come into her life and into her children’s lives.
I am not mitigating the crime at all.. but I just think that stories like this should serve as a warning to women who hook up w/violent thugs and criminals..

I read about this case this morning. Things like this are happening all too often. The one thing I will say about this case: the guys parents turned his ass in QUICK when they found out what he did. It was none of that “ohh hes a good boy” or “ohh, not my baby, he wouldn’t do something like that.”
And to me that says if there is a Mom and a Dad in that jackasses life they probably tried to raise him right. I really do feel for the guys parents on this one!

It’s possible to acknowledge that someone’s decisions contributed to their demise, and still have empathy for them. I don’t understand how people can somehow lose sympathy for a person just because that individual made a few bad choices, or perhaps even unwittingly caused something bad to happen. Personally, I don’t empathize with people because I agree with them or condone their choices; I empathize with them because I realize how horrific and painful such a death is, and imagine myself in their shoes. Her death wasn’t any less painful just because her decisions put her into that position.
That being said, it’s perfectly natural to be even more horrified why what happened to the children. I just don’t think it’s fair to write her off.
Like I said above No one deserves what happened to her, but to repeatedly put yourself and your children in harms way for a “man” is what I do not understand,my sympathy is towards the dead children and the children left behind. Tragic all the way around.
I have to give the woman a little credit. She made her intentions perfectly clear with him. Although we don’t know exactly how it went down, it seems based on the story that instead of lying and screwing him over behind his back, she was open and honest and was willing to deal with the consequences of how it would affect her relationship. I’m sure she didn’t think the results of those decisions would be a slayings, but simply a break off from a schmuck who has control issues. The number of people who take these things out on babies disgusts me. It is frightening to know these people are out there, and I am also disturbed to think of what may have happened if he had caught her lying and cheating instead. Either way, he is a shit stain who can be a “big man” in hell. He will be crying like a bitch when flames are engulfing his ass.
The questions about whether or not she was a slut are entirely inappropriate. What difference does it make? The poor girl is dead. She could have slept with 1000 men, and she still wouldn’t have deserved such a horrific death. Yes, she should have more careful about preventing pregnancy, but does that make her worthy of execution? Not only that, but her two beautiful children were murdered too — and that in itself should be more than enough reason to send Ruiz’s murdering ass to hell.

Not to blame the Ms. Ybe, but if she knew he had a history of mood swings, she probably should have just taken the kids and left before informing him that she was going to get together with her previous boyfriend. Then again, since she had four kids by three men by the time she was 22, she probably wasn’t the best at planning ahead.
I feel worst for the kids, though. They had no say in their mother’s actions or the things she said, yet they had to pay for his anger at their mother. The twins will have to grow up without their biological parents.

I make good decisions and take care of myself. But once upon a time (not long ago) I dated a Marine. He had served nearly 10 years and never showed a sign of mood swings or aggression in our time together. At the most he suffered from some depression. Our relationship was having it’s problems and they got to an irreparable point. He came back from a fairly easy deployment and about 2 weeks after he got home I ended the relationship. He snapped and tried to kill me. I got this from a man who never raised his voice at me, and I did nothing out of the ordinary in trying to end the relationship. He just snapped. It was a shock to everyone. Mood swings don’t necessarily mean bouts of rage. My ex had his ups and downs in terms of depression and happiness but never showed signs of uncontrollable anger. I had no way of knowing he would try to end my life.

I believe you stormy. There are always a couple of posters who cross the line a little, but I’m not sure they were trying to be racists so much as they were angry and lashing out at, in this case, Mr, Ruiz. Insensitivity doesn’t always equal racism, at least not IMHO.

Animals don’t do anything for no reason at all, they don’t kill out of pure spite or jealousy. “Good” and “Evil” are a strictly human concept that can only apply to humans. This guy is not and never was an “alpha male” claiming his place as such in a pack of subordinates. He is a selfish, calculating, EVIL waste of skin who no longer has a place in this world. Hopefully the jury that decides his fate will see that too and send him to the only place he has a right to be now, which is at the bottom of a grave.

There are documented cases of gorillas, monkeys, apes, various big cats and other species of animals killing the offspring of a rival after the rival has been dealt with. If they’re silly and they don’t apply to you, why take offense?

If someone were to make derogatory Jew comments, would I take it personally? No, for the same reasons deedee95 didn’t take my fat comments personally.
