UPDATE 2: Richard Kern, Alex Cruz and Andrew Morales
ALL OFFICERS ACQUITTED IN MINEO ABUSE TRIAL
excerpts of an article by Kareem Fahim – The New York Times
A Brooklyn jury found three police officers not guilty on Monday of abusing a suspect in the Prospect Park subway station during an arrest, in a case that recalled some of the city’s most notorious police brutality episodes but never provoked as much public outcry or departmental reform.
Acquitting all three men on all counts, the jurors rejected Michael Mineo’s claims that Officer Richard Kern repeatedly rammed a baton between his buttocks, therefore making the charges that two other officers helped him cover up the abuse irrelevant.
“It’s been a long road and it’s finally over, thank God,” Officer Kern said afterward. “I’ll finally get a good night’s sleep. I’m glad the system works.”
The verdict came after just one full day of deliberations in a trial that had lasted four weeks. Mr. Mineo’s lawyers promised to push forward with a multimillion-dollar civil lawsuit against the city, and to ask federal prosecutors to consider charges that his civil rights were violated.
“It’s not over,” said Mr. Mineo, who was not in court when the verdict was read but spoke to reporters afterward. “I ain’t even surprised. I kind of had a feeling it would
turn out this way. If you want to commit a murder, join the N.Y.P.D. and you get cleared off.”
On Oct. 15, 2008, Officer Kern, assigned to an anti-crime unit out of Brooklyn’s 71st Precinct, chased Mr. Mineo, a heavily tattooed body-piercer, into the Q-line subway station after seeing him smoking marijuana on Flatbush Avenue. Mr. Mineo was handcuffed on the platform, then released with a summons despite a computer check that showed he had several outstanding warrants. Mr. Mineo claimed he was warned not to go to a hospital or a police station. Officer Kern, 26, a married father of three, has been on the force five years and has been assigned to the housing bureau since shortly after the confrontation with Mr. Mineo. The other two officers on trial were his partner, Andrew Morales, 28, the son and brother of New York detectives, who lives on Staten Island and has been working for the fleet services unit; and Alex Cruz, 28, who lives in Brooklyn and has been in the property clerk division.
Officer Cruz cried as the verdict was read, while Officer Morales looked up at the ceiling. “It was very hard sitting there and listening to all the lies,” Officer Morales said afterward.
Officer Kern, whose confident, matter-of-fact testimony was a key part of the defense case, showed no expression before the verdict was read, then smiled, hugging his lawyer, and his parents, who sobbed at news of the outcome.
“I’m hoping to get back on the streets and do what I love to do: protecting the people of Brooklyn,” he said later. As soon as they emerged, Mr. Mineo’s allegations drew comparisons with the 1997 torture of Abner Louima, a Haitian immigrant who was sodomized with a broomstick by a police officer in Brooklyn’s 70th Precinct station house. The Louima attack became a national symbol of police brutality and racism, and led within days to the replacement of several commanders; Justin A. Volpe eventually admitted the abuse and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
Throughout, the defense made diminishing the victim’s credibility its central focus. Lawyers told jurors about Mr. Mineo’s drug use, previous arrests and the federal civil rights lawsuit he filed against the city, seeking $350 million in damages — far more than the amount sought by Mr. Louima (who won more than $8 million in settlements with the city and the police union, and has moved to Florida). With conflicting expert testimony on the physical evidence and medical records, jurors were left to sort through the recollections of witnesses, including two of the officers on trial, about what happened on the subway platform that day. None of that testimony was more important than that of Kevin Maloney, a transit officer who happened to
be at the Prospect Park station when Mr. Mineo and the officers chasing him burst inside.
During two hours on the witness stand, Officer Maloney said he had come forward to quiet false allegations that Officer Cruz had sodomized Mr. Mineo. He said he saw Officer Kern press his baton into Mr. Mineo’s buttocks, but also said he did not think it amounted to abuse.
Mr. Mineo’s own testimony provided the trial’s other highlight and its most colorful moments. On the witness stand, his straightforward, anguished tale of abuse gave way to defiance as defense lawyers needled him about his lifestyle, his gang affiliations and even whether he paid taxes.
With his head in hands, Mr. Mineo asked at one point, “This is your best defense?”
Apparently, it was enough. Officers Kern and Morales testified in their own defense, dispassionately recounting the events of the day. Officer Kern acknowledged placing his baton on Mr. Mineo’s legs to help subdue him, but he denied ever sticking it down his pants. Officer Morales testified that he did not see Mr. Mineo’s open warrants on the computer-generated report he ran that day.
One juror was replaced on Friday after she told her colleagues Officer Kern had twice before been “prosecuted or convicted of police brutality” — allegations that had not been introduced at trial and that the judge dismissed as “misinformation.” (Officer Kern was cleared in two cases of excessive force by the Civilian Complaint Review Board, but one of those cases, in 2007, led to two lawsuits the city settled for $50,000.)
On Monday, jurors declined to discuss the deliberations, and released a simple statement: “We the jury weighed all the evidence and found reasonable doubt.”
Prosecutors in the case also left the courthouse without commenting. Later, when asked about it at an unrelated news conference, Charles J. Hynes, the Brooklyn District Attorney, said: “I never look beyond the jury’s verdict, and I never speculate.”
Sorry for posting the last picture again, the one of Michael Mineo in the hospital bed back in 2008, apparently putting on the performance of his lifetime. Now that the three NYPD officers who were accused of sexually assaulting Mr. Mineo have been acquitted of all charges, this picture becomes especially amusing to me.
As I had a chance to see the evidence the prosecution had, and heard the testimony of the so-called star witnesses, It became very clear that this guy had no case at all, and if it wasn’t for the actions of a few bad cops in previous cases, these three officers would probably never even have been charged.
What I’d like to know is how Michael Mineo came up with this brilliant plan? I’m assuming he expected the city to just settle, and when they didn’t, found himself so deep in the lie that he had to go through with it.
When he was interviewed after the verdict, Michael Mineo said, “This isn’t over…” Michael, I think you should find the nearest Starbucks, order the most caffeine-rich cup of coffee you can get and WAKE THE FUCK UP! It IS over. No one believes you, even the people who say they do. Most of them just hate cops and want to see them go down no matter what the truth is. It’s time for you to fade back into your little corner of Nowhere Land and leave us all alone.

I hate potheads like this. They make the rest of us look bad, dammit! HEY MICHAEL MINEO! YOU are the reason people think of us the way they do! Calm down and act human or take up heroin! IT DESERVES THE REP!
Does he pay for this law suit since he lost it primarily due to his own douchebaggery, or do “we the people” foot the bill?
I wonder if he ever auditioned for American Idol. He seems like the self-obsessed, mentally cross-eyed type who would wear a furry teddy bear costume and sing “Danny Boy”, then cry and bitch about how Simon is so mean.
Common Sense. So fucking rare, it should be a superpower.
thought i’d fix that for you becky

Awww, thanks muchly Max! *HUG*!
Once again, ITA, bex…
I work a full-time job, pay taxes, and even do a little community service when I can – all because it feels good, because you should if you can, and because I want my kids to see what a productive person is. And once those kids are gone or asleep, I turn on the radio and do what I’m free to do as an adult inside my own home! People like Mineo sully the good name of stoners everywhere.
Bad day for LIARS, huh? LOL
**passes the dutchie on the left-hand side**
LOL you guys are great! Pot Heads United…
Hey, we can’t sit by and let this jerks actions speak for the rest of us. The majority of us are law-abiding, tax-paying, old-lady-assisting Americans who hang our hopes for justice and peace on local law enforcement for the most part, just like anyone else.
Pot’s a joke to most big city cops. Too many resources and too much money is wasted on prosecuting pot heads. The police resent it because their time is valuable and shouldn’t be wasted on a few giggling, non-violent stoners. Have you ever tried to cram a stoned person into a back seat? They’re very rubbery, squishy and ticklish. It’s not easy, trust me!
I havent smoked it in years but when I did my experiences were always the same: it was fun, I felt great, after it wore off I felt fine. It never made me weepy or angry or reckless the way I get when I drink. I can’t see what the fuss is about over pot. Kitties love catnip and nobody worries over that, do they? Catnip and pot are close relations. Follow the wisdom of kitties!
What the f does being a pothead have to do with anything? Millions upon millions of Americans smoke weed. They get stoned, listen to music and eat all the chips. That’s it. I work two jobs, I provide for my family, I pay lots of taxes, and I enjoy a nice puff and glass of fine wine. I guarantee that a lot of the people you know in your life are closeted potheads. Chances are that one of your neighbors unbeknownst to you has a small grow operation for personal use.
I have my own opinions on the use of dope. Should I voice the? I think I shall.
It has been shown and proven time and again long term use of the stuff leads to paranoia and even manic depression. THC is a drug that does in fact effect your nervous system. While”high” your motor skills are dramaticly decreased and your “reality” is also changed.
So to all you pot heads out there would you let your kids smoke it? Woul you let your doctor smoke it to “get in the groooooooove” before he opens you up? Would you like to let the bus driver smoke a joint before he/she drove yer kids to school?
Don’t come to me with the lame “well alc is legal” bullshit becasue alc effects you in a completly different way. Both physically and emotionally.
so by all mean smoke em if ya got em. Enjoy but when you step outsie your home and get in to a car you are fair game for me to curb stomp you. Any yes I feel the exact same way for drunk who drive drunk.
Of course doctors and teachers and anyone with someone elses life in their hands shouldn’t be stoned any more than they should be drunk. I’d slap someone like that just as quickly as you would.
Your comparisons remind me of the Prop 8 folks who insist legalized gay marriage will lead to legalization of bestiality and pedophilia. I honestly find it sad that someone would assume just because I smoke pot regularly I must be irresponsible with it. Do I seem like a dipshit wasteoid stoner to you? You kinda know my thought process and sense of morality at this point, right? Be honest now. I expect honesty from Mulch, it’s one of the things I like about you.
Pot is not the same as alcohol on many levels. If it was, I wouldn’t enjoy it just like I don’t enjoy alcohol. It affects the body in a totally different way. Alcohol makes me slow and drooly. It makes me feel disconnected and unreal. It makes me walk like a beginner. It makes me cry sometimes. Pot doesn’t do those things. Pot relaxes me after a stressed day, fades out and leaves no hangover. It helps me sleep and wake when I need to unlike Unisom and other chemical sleep aids which knock me flat for hours past my schedule and leave me with an ‘airhead’ feeling for even longer than that.
On the flipside, there is a time and a place, just like with alcohol. Certain comparisons are solid, you can’t deny that. I wouldn’t promote underage drinking, I wouldn’t promote underage toking. It’s not o.k. to drive while high. It’s not o.k. to walk down a street and smoke a joint. Apply the same moral and legal rules to pot that you would alcohol. That’s how I handle myself. That’s how the majority of us handle ourselves. My criminal record is spotless not because I’m lucky, but because I’m respectful of those around me and their right to safety.
It’s people like Mineo who promote the ‘prop 8′ view you seem to have. That’s why I dislike him and I dislike the pot leaf tattoo on his right arm. The reason he was chased in the first place pisses me off to no end.
I respect your opinion, I just happen to disagree with it. And that’s just fine. :)
Now I don’t give 2 shits what you do behind the closed door of your home. That is not of my business and it never will be. I just don’t care.
My point is not tht one leads to another. My point is that over time it destroys the mind and body. At the same time it can be very dangerous outside the home. Yes just like alc.
Now I honestly think you might have misunderstood me. No probs thats why we are adults.
I have a number of friends who smoke dope. I just don’t care but I do have a few easy and simple rules. Leave yer stuff at home. I don’t want it in my home. Don’t come over stoned or high. I refuse to deal with it also you have the responsibility not to drive stoned.
See? simple and easy.
Yes I have tried it inthe past. More than once. I hated the cotton mouth, the munchies and the lack of bodly controll. I just didn’t like it.
Yes I drink. BUT only when I know I am not driving, working, have my daughter with me or think I might come in to a situation where I could become very pissed and get in to a fight. I might have a glass of wine with a good meal or a good whiskey after work. Much like how you smoke dope. It calms me and allows me to relax after a stressful day.
We can disagree I think. We’re both adults are we not? I like to think so. Again I don#t care and it’s none of my business what you do behind closed doors. OK?
OH just so you know, I don’t assume anything. I was not directing anythig at a single person.
Me personally, I think over time, LIFE IN GENERAL destroys the mind and body. Hence, we all die of something eventually.
As long as I’m a good person, try to leave the world a better place than when I found it, and walk through this life without hurting anybody, I’m pretty much okay with (most of) my vices. LOL
{Oh wait – I should add that I don’t hurt anybody besides Captain Crunch… Because after I take the time to ‘indulge in my civil liberties’, I fuck him right the hell up. ;-) }
Mulch!!! I’m so sorry my post came off as an attack on you. I sincerely apologize. Really, honestly, truly “here’s a delicious homemade cookie for you” apologize. I would hug you, but my monitor won’t appreciate it.
When I responded to your post, I was looking foreword to a healthy, friendly back-and-forth because I respect and like you and I think it’s mutual. I hope there’s no problem between us. I like people who don’t always agree with my lifestyle and personal philosophies. I cherish people like you and many regular posters here, people who disagree with me and are intelligent about it and make me think. Sometimes you need ‘black’ so you can see ‘white’ and ‘gray’ more clearly. We don’t have to agree on everything. If we did, how boring would that be?
I know when someone’s talking about a ‘dirty pothead’ perp on PYSIH, they don’t mean me. I’m a ‘clean pothead’, for one thing. ;) Mineo is to pot like a Wigger is to rap.
Beck pretty well says it all. I have only ever smoked at home behind a locked door, by myself or with another adult. It’s more fun to smoke at home. Ever play Trivial Pursuit high? Riot. Maybe over the long term there are health effects, in fact I can believe there are, just because everything affects you after a while. I smoked pot so infrequently that with any luck I’ll avoid those. A person who gets addicted easily and/or smokes a lot, well, that’s different. Pot was so enjoyable for me that I was willing to accept risk.
Alcohol, cigarettes, un-organic food, sex, jaywalking, bitch slapping a bear, calling a woman the ‘C’ word… are a few more examples of things involving serious heath risks. Life in general negatively effects you over time. So I say, FUCK IT….. Go with a smile… because eventually you ARE going. =)
Bitch-slapping a Bear!? BWAHAHAHAHA! *snorts coffee on keyboard* Ahahahahahaha! *falls out of chair* AHAHAHAHAHA! *throws up from laughing so hard* You guys are killing me!!!!
Bitch slapping a bear”!!! LOL! And you’d do it, too, Steph Ann, and God help that bear, he would be SUCH a good bear after that!!
Can’t you sjust see some big bruin run off through the woods, “YIpe-yipe-yipe!” and Steph Ann hands on hips yelling like Kim in Death Proof “You BETTER run Mother Fucker!”
LMAO. Yes, yes. Very dangerous, but sooo invigorating….slapping those bears….. NEVER go camping while suffering your monthly. *wink*
Or “THE CHANGE”
Mineo can shove his little lawsuit up his ass too. This little fucker has caused enough trouble. Can’t he be charged with anything – false reporting, being a motherfucking waste of space? Something?
Unfortunately, a lot of cases are just settled out of court due to the costs involved with proceeding. The case where Kern was cited for excessive force and the city settled for $50K is likely of this caliber. This happens a lot with insurance cases and it just sucks. My mother had the unfortunate experience of accidentally bumping into a car in a parking lot at about 5 miles per hour and this 25 year old piece of white trash tried to say she was irrevocably damaged and wouldn’t work ever again and my mom should pay for her potential earnings to age 65 that she would now (poor lambie) never be able to make due to her “injuries”. Get this– my mom was alone in the car and this piece of work had two friends and her 18 month old in the car (which was turned off and in park; oh and yeah, the baby wasn’t restrained in a seat, and so on). Well, she gets out of the car shrieking that she’s in pain and insists on the cops getting called and the whole nine-yards. Needless to say, the upshot was that the insurance guy told us that this woman has made a career of this. Three times in fact in her relatively short (and if I got my hands on her, even shorter) life span. Mom’s case made number 4. Guess what the insurance company did, yet again? Made her and her attorney an offer of $25,000 and (shock!!) she accepted and went away.
And so, it appears that this Mineo knows a good gig when he sees it. Max is right in that most people hate cops (except when they need them) and they will go along with whoever can bring them grief. The cop whose parents were there and burst in to tears has my heartfelt sympathy. I have a hard time being rational when my mother is upset, and I think I would have had to deal with Mineo in an unprofessional manner.
I am soooooooooooooooooooooo glad that the jury had some common sense. The case of 1997 was the one I was trying to remember from before, but *that* case was very different; the man had severe injuries and there was no question someone had assaulted him. Mineo must have thought that he’d get some quick cash from the city to make him go away; thankfully, he backed the wrong pony. :-)
Thanks again Max for the good news.
Problem though – this was a criminal case. The 3 officers involved were being charged criminally.
Sure, Mineo is looking for a cash payoff, but these 3 guys could’ve gone to prison, lost their careers and income for their families, not to mention the costs of the trial.
This little fuckface, Mineo, costs a bunch of people a bunch of money. Is he gonna pay that back?
Basically, what I’m saying is that a selfish little prick spent a lot of money – courtesy of New York taxpayers. I don’t live anywhere near New York and it pisses me off. If I was a taxpayer there I’d want to shove a baton up his ass, and I wouldn’t be too fucking friendly about it. There would be no question he’d been assaulted.
I’d like to see him pay and suffer the same way these officers and their families have suffered.
He still has the balls to say he’s going to proceed with a lawsuit – where in the fuck does he get off? – he’s still trying to steal from taxpayers.
I hope the cops harrass the fuck out of him, charge him with anything and everything they possibly can, and do the same to anyone around him. I hope that no one is willing to sell him a bag because they know he’s fucked and will get them fucked. I hope that some day he needs the services of a cop and the cop looks at him and tells him to fuck off.
Mineo had his 15 minutes – hope he enjoyed it.
Yeah, his 15 minutes of lying about something being shoved up his ass… makes you wonder….
Agree with you about the criminal court case angle. What happens when the person loses? Is there any way that he can be sited for court costs? Since he is a tattoo *artiste* he have to tattoo all of Manhattan to pay for it. :-)
I am wondering if he went the criminal case route first because he wanted “go away” money; he basically rolled the dice and bet that they wouldn’t want to go through the cost and publicity of a trial. Just a thought.
I doubt Canadian courts are much different than American (except you guys have waaaaayyyyy better sentencing options), so pardon me for a question that may seem silly: if he is going to go through the civil litigation angle, then is it predicated on having first going through the criminal courts? Or could he have simply by-passed the criminal court arena altogether and sued through civil court?
I hope he has had enough of the taxpayers time and money and goes back to crawl under whatever rock he oozed out from.
Well that’s great ahhahahah! Seriously, this guy will never live it down. everyone he knows will remember this forever LOL. shouldn’t have tried to make a hole in ur boxers dumbass.
what a fucktard
justice is served.
Actually, it probably isn’t over, Max. He is clearly a reject of such a caliber that he WILL be pursued by the police again. Since at first he didn’t succeed, I am sure he will try again with some other officer just trying to do his job. I wouldn’t be surprised if he “made a career out of this” like the woman who Budgiegirl was describing. Perhaps you will have the luxury of doing another write up with his name all over it. Then we can all collectively say “Mmmhmmmmm…”
There are times when the police were clearly in the wrong (Louima anyone?) or in a recent case where they were taped beating a man who was handcuffed and not resisting. But this guy from the beginning just screamed liar to me. The fact he filed a civil suit almost immediately furthered my resolve.
As for the $50,000 the city paid for a previous settlement… sad to say but like the one poster above mentioned, even if you’re innocent, many companies/cities will simply pay to make the case go away. Your honor or true liablity means nothing to them.
Nope. The DNA evidence just wasn’t there and like I said originally, his injuries simply did not coincide with someone who had approximately seven inches of a foam and steel baton inserted into his rectum forcefully.
The only people who were almost sodomized in this case is the NYPD.
Thankfully, justice was served.
Yessum. What you say!
His injuries didn’t coincide with seven inches because his boyfriend’s penis must be far from! =) Seriously, what a dumb ass, and everyone now knows that what damage WAS there, had to be self-inflicted. I’d tell him to go fuck himself but he already did! EW!
XD XD XD
I had a hermaphrodite friend once. She was acting like a jerk at Disneyland. Disneyland is too expensive to ruin like that, so I told her to go fuck herself. For some reason, she stopped speaking to me after that… :P
HAHAHAHAHA X D Damn there I go again reading your posts and having a conniption! WHEN WILL I LEARN? Probly never.
I have relatives who were and are police officers. One of them is an asshole who, in my opinion, joined the force just to have the power to be a bully. However, the others were and are great cops who joined the force because they wanted to help. I’ve heard plenty of stories of bad cops that have pissed me off to now end, but it has never soured my opinion of cops in general. I quote James Woods from the movie The Hard Way: “Cops are too angry, too violent… too risky to care about… until you need one. Then we’re the Second Coming, aren’t we?” Well said.
Well Mr Woods is a great and wise man is he not?
I have a high opinion of cops in general. to think otherwise is not very healthy. I know a few cops and find them to be frustrated people. They know what needs to be done but are hog tied with rules, regulations and the fear of standing out too much.
A jury with common sense, at last! Almost restores my faith in humanity. On second thought . . . no. But this is good news and I’ll think about it all day.
Mineo is a pussy and a crybaby. He probably HOPED the cops would ream him and got mad when they didn’t. “Bitches!! You’ll be sorry!!”
Amen, Max!
What pisses me off about this case is the constant comparison to Abner Louima. I don’t think there is a soul on this planet who can say Mr. Louima was lying or that the cops didn’t use excessive force. Mr. Louima was a VICTIM, Mr. Mineo comes off like a money hungry idiot.
Also, I DON’T appreciate Mr. Mineo making statements like “If you want to commit murder, join the NYPD” Not for nothing Mr. Mineo, but on 9/11 the NYPD were out there saving lives, where were you? Out with your Crip buddies robbing people?
I was on the fence the whole time with this case, but I always tend to believe a cop over a convict. If Officer Kern did in fact sodomize Mineo, he will have his day. If Mr. Mineo is lying, I hope he needs the police one day, and no one comes to help him.
Not for nothing, but the thing that made me pause was How does a man sodomize another man with a baton in broad daylight and no one notices? Mineo doesn’t scream bloody murder? It just didn’t fit. If anything, I think Officer Kern MAY have used a little bit of excessive force and maybe he hit his ass with the baton, but full out sodomy? No way- not in the middle of Brooklyn during the day time…
“It just didn’t fit.” BAHAHAHAH! Oh, that was funneh. ;)
It’s possible the officer smacked him on the ass with his club. I’ve seen officers separate peoples legs with those clubs when they’re trying to pat them down and the person is resisting. That’s likely what happened, and what inspired Mineo to accuse them of rape.
If the baton doesn’t fit, you must acquit. ;)
You’d have to use quite a lot of force to jam a baton so hard that it ripped through a pair of boxer shorts, and your aim would have to be pretty spot on for the tip to then enter the victims anus, and it would then take even more force to ram it all the way up into the victim’s rectum. I’d say it’s next to impossible that it could have happened unintentionally, which leaves the only other possibility that it was done intentionally. If it was done intentionally, would the cops not have taken a moment to actually pull the guy’s boxers down? And even if they did intentionally ram it up his ass through his boxers, it doesn’t seem like the sort of thing one would do in the heat of the moment with witnesses standing around. Jamming it into his ass creating the brief sensation that something was being pressed between his ass cheeks I can buy. Sodomizing him with the thing in full view of civilians and fellow officers? I don’t buy that.
BTW, I read that he wants to US Marshalls to be on security detail because he no longer feels safe. Does this POS really think he’s that important?; Our gov’t barely takes care of informants, why would they secure this douche?
Have you ever stopped to think that maybe the police officers were the ones who gave the performance of their lives you all sound like mindless sheep to me
Of course we stopped to think about that. So did the court. Look, I’ll do it again:
Hm. Nope, Mineo’s still a self-righteous dirtbag.
And you sound like a mindless moaning dipweed who believes that cops are always, automatically, guilty, no matter what. Who is more likely here to put on a performance: three police officers or this little tattood love boy gang member who had to have his hand held for him while he was filmed? (Was that Al Sharpton holding his widdle fingies?).
Daughter of a retired NYPD officer here. I can tell you, most assuredly, that there are some cops out there who deserve Oscars for their performances. I didn’t necessarily believe the cops so much as I disbelieved Mineo. The story just didn’t add up. The evidence wasn’t there. And, if you have ever been in a Brooklyn subway in the middle of the day, there is no way…on God’s good green earth, that no one would have seen such an occurrence take place.
All THAT happy horseshit aside, I am also a nurse. As I have said previously, the physical evidence just was not there. No matter what the cops did or did not say. There was ZERO DNA evidence. Now seriously, if I came over your house right now…and shoved a stick up your ass, I assure you that I will pull out both fecal matter, skin cells and possibly blood depending on how hard I opt to penetrate you. I have had patients who were sodomized by things much smaller in circumference than a police baton which inflicted far more damage than what was found within Mr. Mineo’s rectal cavity.
Are you familiar with a police baton? They are heavy. They are thick. They are made of steel and padded with foam. Even those who indulge in anal sex on a nightly basis would plead for some lube with these things. He would sustain more than just a random anal fissure, I assure you. There would definitely be a tear or a laceration of some sort. Don’t argue this point with me. I have seen everything you can possibly imagine inserted into the anus. I have seen everything from toy cars, to carrots, to lightbulbs, to door knobs to sex toys; even once had to remove a tampon from a young man’s rectum who was just trying to see what it felt like. Poor guy lost the string…and had to come to the ER for us to fish it out.
Anyway, I digress. There are no “mindless sheep” on this website. The facts are laid bare and most of us are educated and adult enough to make our own decisions based on the facts before us. That might be a bit much for you to wrap your head around…but people DO have minds of their own.
But good for you for trying to stir up some good old fashioned controversy! Tres fun!
Ahhh, those old path lab memories! (Yr 3rd paragraph) :)
Thanks for the rebuttal to the butt-head from a purely professional standpoint. I think you mentioned before that the excuses for things making their way up the anal route were always creative and sometimes beautiful in their intricacies……. so, I just have to ask:
What excuse could possibly cover getting a door knob up your back passage? :-D
And please tell me that it was JUST the door knob and that the door itself was still not attached. :->
Nope. No door attached.
The gentleman explained that he was working on his house, admittedly, in the nude and fell backwards on it. The doorknob (a small doorknob, like for a kitchen cabinet…not a main door) found its way into his rectum.
Now, I am not doubting the mans story…but if I had a buck for every patient who walked into the ER with an “I fell on it” as an excuse…I’d be ONE RICH BITCH.
My favorite still remains the young man with the tampon. He wanted to see what his girlfriend was talking about when she said how uncomfortable they were. He had her insert it…they lost the string…and had to come to us to get it out. He was very honest about how it happened. It was almost…sweet, in a very disturbing way.
They’ll laugh about it when they get older. At 18 though…it probably wasn’t too funny.
Thanks for the smile. I had images of a big old brass door knob. A door knob for a cupboard isn’t so bad. That being said, I was going to ask how often you heard, “I fell on it,” and it turns out … that’s what the dude told you! LOL!!
The poor guy with the tampon. Yeesh. I suppose if you think that he wanted to experience her discomfort to somehow bond with her, then yeah, it’s kind of sweet, but (you’re right) in a creepy sort of way.
As a nurse, I’m sure you saw every conceivable item (and some inconceivable ones) in the back passages of fellow humans, so it was nice to hear a nurse express how delicate this area is and how a police baton would definitely make a bit of a mess. We all know this (or should), but people in the medical profession have the opportunity to see a lot of other behinds, whereas the rest of us are just experts on our own equipment .. and maybe a couple of other people’s. ;-D
Thanks for starting my day off with a chuckle.
Well let’s see. There was no definitive evidence of Mineo’s DNA on Officer Kern’s baton. The best the prosecution could do was say they could not exclude him from the pool of people that could have been a donor, how ever huge that number happened to be. The State’s star witness, Officer Kevin Maloney, admitted he never though there was any abuse at the time of the incident, and only came forward to tell what he saw because Alex Cruz was being blamed for Richard Kern’s actions. He never testified that he saw the baton inserted inside Mineo rectum, or even that the other cops had pulled his pants down. Jeez, even Mineo said his boxers were still pulled up.
Then we have the video of Mr. Mineo, strolling up the street like nothing is wrong a few hours after the supposed violent sexual assault.
I see cop haters like you as the lemmings – Unlike the people here, you aren’t interested in the truth, you’re only interested in seeing a loser like Michael Mineo get over on the police. We’ve done other stories on cops where we took the other side, because that’s where the evidence took us.
How’s that for a bunch of mindless sheep?
Putz…
I agree with you. So um…
Baaaa-aaaaa-aaaa.
Ha ha…what an ass hat.
Being Law Enforcement myself, I can vouch for the fact that police have no imagination whatsoever. It takes a creative mind to put on an act in any capacity. The only place we as a whole are creative is in the bedroom, hahahaha
Mineo weeping and trembling in his hospital bed is about the most repulsive sight I’ve seen since I watched a dog get its butt glands expressed. What a drama queen. I’d like to pick him up out of bed and shake him, or else a good bitch slap and give him something to really cry about. he looks like he weighs about 90 pounds, shouldn’t be difficult.
$350 million for a baton in the butt? Seems a tad excessive and greedy…
Yeah. I mean, I did it for free in college. Sheesh.
**spits Hawaiian Punch all over her screen**
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
OMG that was funny as hell!!!! MY son just peeked around the corner to see if I had lost my mind…the only thing I did not do was roll on the floor (too cold)!!
And people wonder why I dropped out?
You naughty, naughty girl! =P
Great 3 more asshole pigs given carte blanch to do what they want and abuse who they want……and all the bad feeling on this board towards the victim is sickening
You people are the same fuckers who would demand the death penalty had the victim been a woman or a child……but because he’s a young male who smokes dope there is no sympathy what so ever.
The double standards are sickening…….just because someone is a gang member or a recreational drug user he deserves to be
…..violated and abused.
And don’t give me this shit about found not guilty…….shit the ploice are never found guilty not even in the Rodney King
Whoa, Mama….slow your roll. This has nothing to do with his gang affiliations, his criminal record or the fact that he’s a recreational drug user. I am a former addict, 9 months clean and sober now…so I would be the LAST person in the world to judge anyone on their drug use. People fuck up, even the most responsible of people. On the surface, I would have seemed extremely “normal” to you. Did my job as a nurse, raised my kids, involved in community service, daughter of a retired police officer…a real pillar of society. However, come nightfall, I had a VERY serious addiction to opiates and narcotics. I got busted for a criminal offense while under the influence. Had the book thrown at me. Had my nursing license suspended for a period of time. Went into a rehab program. So, I am not all that high and mighty that I would judge ANY human being on their downfalls.
The fact of the matter is…there was ZERO DNA evidence to prove this mans claim. Nothing. The wounds he sustained were not consistent with the forced trauma he described. Like I said earlier…it’s not so much that I believed the police. I lived in NYC for 30 years. I know quite well what the boys in blue are capable of covering up if they want to. But, the injury, the dna, the tears to the clothing, the fact that NO citizen saw this happen on the stairs of a busy subway terminal in Brooklyn…the cop who came forward just because another cop was being wrongly accused…it all doesn’t fit. You don’t have to be a fucking genius to figure that out.
You and I come from similiar backrounds CP, and it seems we both came to the conclusion that Mineo was a liar based on the same evidence (or lack of it). His story just didn’t add up when you held it up to the light of day, especially when we heard all the testimony from the trial.
Stormy, while cops do get over sometimes, that isn’t the case here. put aside your personal feelings about the police and you’ll see that Mineo’s case sounded fishy from the very start, and it just got worse from there (even the most arrogant cop would know enough not to commit sexual assault on a crowded subway platform during broad daylight).
Remember Max’s rule of common sense – If someone tells you something that doesn’t make any sense, it probably isn’t true. In real life, 2 + 2 never, ever equals 5, and that’s what Michael Mineo wanted us to believe.
I was just a lurker here when you celebrated your sober birthday…but I remember reading about it and feeling very proud of you. It’s a completely different life…a better one.
Congrats to you…and continue the good fight. One day at a time.
Ah, CP, but you *do* have to be a special kind of genius to see the world in two dimensions. People like ‘stormy’ see any regulation of society that impinges on ‘free thinking, free acting’ people like themselves as THE MAN (or whoever) as bearing down on them and making like generally un-fun. So cops are bad and self-serving greedy money seeking liars are good, in this case. :-) When you view the world through this kind of prism, well, heck, you can make anything at all something to be outraged about. DUH. No wait, baa, baa, baa, baa.
What these weather-related induhviduals fail to see is that we are pissed off at Mineo for all the right reasons: he is lying, he is trying to sock it to the city (and our tax dollars) so that he can live off some $$ he can easily get (or so he thought). He isn’t a victim; he is just a greedy bastard that needs to get a wake-up call and really experience what it’s like to be a victim.
It galls our sense of right and wrong that this fucktard cries ABUSE when we know that there are thousands of true victims who don’t come forward because of the attention such claims receive. In a REAL case of abuse, there will always be people who won’t believe the victim experienced anything, and for someone already traumatized, they only need to focus on people like Mineo and worry that others will lump them into the same class as him (greedy, money-seeking fucktards).
Like you said, the DNA evidence was not there. But hey, I’m sure that there is a genius explanation as to why it wasn’t there, or, even better, a reason as to why Mineo’s claims didn’t even *need* DNA evidence, right stormy?
Until I hear that DNA is somehow subject to the manipulations of THE MAN/whatever, then I’ll continue in my sheep-like ways and believe that Mineo is a lousy stinking liar who will eventually have his ass bitten by the karma working in the universe.
Hopefully the weather clears and we can get back to reality.
To Mineo’s supporters (I count two), for now, I bid you good baa baa.
Bless your heart CP So many doctors and nurses here have had to struggle with “opiates and narcotics” cuz the stuff is so EASY for them to get, and let’s face — the stuff feels great! And they know how to administer it, and their jobs, well. Good for you and keep up the good fight.
It appears, Stormy, that you are the same fucker who would have us believe every person who cries ‘brutality’ is an honest citizen who isn’t trying to screw anyone over. You try so hard to be contrary you can’t see the forest for the trees. How can you look at the assembled facts and think he was victimized? You must be joking. Again.
If you have solid reasons for believing the way you do about this case, please present them so they can be discussed with us fuckers. You’ve become predictable and tedious. Pony up or pipe down.
My mother was a school nurse at one of the worst schools in Springfield MA.
One kid came into her office asking if she knew of anyone he could sue – he wanted money and knew that’s a way to get some! She asked him if he ever heard of a job!
One kid’s parents sued because he was injured and she did not have proper documentation that the kids refused treatment. Now that the kid is 18 he tried to sue! (Double jepardy here???)
Another lady had 2 boys and 1 girl – a sweet child. The mother insisted that the daughter needed Ridalin…… A child wih certain needs is worth $$$$$…….
So this POS is just another one of hose looking o get something for NOTHING! Playthe lottery…….. – Oops that costs money!
LOL
“We’re fuckers an we’re PROUD
Let’s say it long and LOUD”
“The double standards are sickening…….just because someone is a gang member or a recreational drug user he deserves to be violated and abused.”….Huh? Who said that? Most people here said they didn’t BELIEVE he was abused…not, ‘If he was, oh well…he deserved it’… Other than that, nothing else to say…I think you’re a dick anyway, Stormy…Aren’t you the same ‘Stormy’ who spouts mostly racism in your posts? I figured you be all over this one, I guess it’s just blacks you have beef with. Oh well, sod off. =)
Sod off? could someone be from Jolly Ol England?
I know drug addicts. Being in and around the punk scene as long as I have you meet a bunch. Gang members? Ha what a crock of horse piss. I went to Lincoln High school in Tacoma WA. I was a bright face in a very dark crowd. over 80% black and all wanted to be in a gang. Was laughable. I got in to fights with blacks, hispanics and asians. I earned my respect with my fists and my boots. I also earned my respect for NOT being a racist shitstain. I only wanted to go to school, play football and get laid.
This little bitch that fucked himself in the ass for a buck and 15 min. Thats it. He’s on drugs? Well he should use the money to get help. We al know he won’t. We know he will spend it on a TV, smack, a car and what ever else he wants. Nothing about what he needs.
Cops. I respect police officers. I think that 99.99999% of all cops are good people. They help when you need it. No questions asked. They work long hard hours. They get little pay and almost no respect. They do a hard dangerous job with thier hands tied and one eye blind folded. Here in Germany I thank cops for doing thier jobs. When I’m in the US I do the same. No matter where I go I thank people for doing a job that not many can or want to do.
@CP I say again thank you for doing the job you do. I know you work yer ass off as a nurse. Should your father be alive please thank him for me. You both have my respect, support and admiration.
@all military members IF YA AINT INFANTRY YA AINT SHIT! :-) I did 4 years in the US Army as an Infantryman. At no other time in my life did I meet more professional men. I wish I could buy you each a brew and shoot the shit with ya for a while. If we do meet up sometime in life that is exactly what will happen. OH and RANGERS LEAD THE WAY! Yes I graduated from John Wayne High in December 1990. Got my black Ranger tab.
Hoo-Ah!! Damn skippy, Army Brat in the house! lol…and thanks again, Mulch, for YOUR service! Much love. =)
Mulch…dad and I thank you for your gracious praise. :)
Mulch, we may come from different branches, but we work for the same man. Oh, and if ya ain’t Boats, ya ain’t shit! High Speed, Low Drag! Where else can you play with guns on choppy seas? Not the Infantry, that’s for damn sure.
LOL…you go girl! And thank you for your service as well. ;)
I drink like a fish, I’m heavily tattooed, I love to shoot guns, and salt water flows through my veins. Must be a Sailor, lol… :D
I fucking CUSS like a sailor, but that’s the best I got…I’d definitely slap that bear before fucking with you, lil’ mama! lol *bow*
We sailors are a happy bunch, when we’re drunk or fighting, that is, lol
There are 2 rules when going down town when Airborne qualified. Either you get laid of in a fight. Best case is both.
@ Mulch~~ Sounds like my drill weekend! lol. Every month, I get into a fight at a bar, then if it’s someone I know, I go back to the barracks and “wrassle” with ‘em, hahaha! Sailor Life!
Hey Steph you fuck nut if you read my posts you’d see i was rallying against racism on this site not advocating it and if you believe for a minute that the NYPD aren’t the most corrupt bunch of motherfuckers to ever take a breath then your an idiot or at the very least naive.
I don’t trust those officers for a second man and former addicts should be able to vouch that cops are a bunch of brutal and very dumb people for the most part……and they do not treat addicts with a great deal of respect.
This trial (and subsequent thread) was all about judging the victim and cops never get convicted of anything in the US so it was all a pointless charade…….I mean take the Rodney King verdict i guess he was a lying junkie scum bag to in your eyes to was there any DNA evidence in his case?
Whether he was lying or not the venom spewed by people on this site regarding in this case was fucking ridiculous man had the victim been female or a kid you are the same people who would have condemned those pigs to hell……..Now I don’t claim to know the truth of this case but you peoples attitude is ugly
I worry about people like you, Stormy. I really do. You have a persecution complex and that’s a very dangerous affliction.
Most cops are decent, hard working individuals that place themselves in harms way for low wages and long hours. They are the people who rush in when everyone else is running away.
You know when your opinion is going to change, Stormy? When the day comes that you need a cop to save your holier than thou ass. I hope that never happens and I hope you are never the victim of a violent crime. But, it would almost be…delicious, if you were. Remember, when you have a rapist on top of you and a cop runs over to save your stupid ass…I want you to tell him to go away, that you have the situation firmly under control and don’t need the likes of his corrupt ass saving you. Then, fend for yourself. People like you really make me laugh because you are the most hypocritical human beings alive.
The “man”, the “man”, the “man”. Heh. That man is making things safe for imbeciles like you so that you can sleep safely in your little world every night. What is your contribution to society, Stormy? Really? I mean…what is it that YOU do for a living that is more courageous, more selfless and more honor bound than being a police officer?
Firemen, military personnel and police officers lay their lives on the line every single day to keep you safe. By no means is every one of them perfect and certainly, there are always the ones who are corrupt that taint the image of the others…but for the most part, these people are loyal, steadfast and only interested in serving the public at the cost of their own safety.
You should be absolutely ashamed of yourself for thinking anything close to the opposite.
Fuck nut? lol…I thought I was the only dork who used that word. PLease forgive me if I’ve misunderstood your character. The last post of yours I commented to was under Jermaine Ruiz where you were spouting off something like, “….have a gas chamber built into the welfare office to get ris of these unsightly chocolate people that are stealing your taxes….” etc. If the was merely sarcasm that I didn’t catch…my bad.
yeah sorry for calling you a fuck nut that was not right and you have my apologies….sorry it was out of line
yeah that was sarcasm and directed at the other comments on that thread that were more worried about their taxes than murdered people
Ahh, got it! *wink*…I’m slow, but I come around eventually! Well then, we appear to be on the same side. *extends hand* My apologies….I’ve cussed you out in a LOT of posts!! LMAO…my bad. =P
(ooops! hit return…wasn’t done! lol)…anyway! You say you rally against racism. Having two bi-racial children I do as well, but I don’t think being a minority grants a person a ‘get out of jail free’ card. Is OJ guilty? Hell to the FUCK yeah!! Was Rodney King a lying junkie? Well, the junkie part is none of my business, and the lying part…. absolutly not! It was all caught on tape and he was clearly a victem. People say, ‘Well, you don’t know what he might have done before the camera started rolling’…Who gives a fuck…by the time it was he was down, and they still beat the crap out of him….anyway. I won’t get started on that. I get extremely fired up when it comes to ignorance. I’m sure there’s corruption in the NYPD…the entire force, unlikely…I don’t know every officer on the force to give such a fair assessment. I take officers as I do people, one at a time. I don’t generalize and I give respect to those who deserve it. Being a former addict myself (BTW, no such thing…we’re pretty much stuck with that title for like, EVER…it’s just a matter of being an active or non-active addict) I would never doubt someone for that reason alone. I looked at the whole picture in this case. The dude’s a lying…fucknut. Finally, MO on those who hate the ‘pigs’ with such passion is that they need to grow up. (This is in general Storm, not at you, so don’t get your panties in a twist) but, quit doing the bad, illegal crap you must be doing and let go of your control issues that have you resenting authority to begin with and you’ll find you no longer ‘hate’ the cops. …worked for me!! Peace!
I’m adding this from my mobile, so it’ll be a minute before I can dig around to find the evidence, but I can say with certainty that Stormy has made racist comments about Blacks before. Trust me, I took notice.
That said, I don’t believe any particular subculture has a monolithic experience or belief system – ALL people are all different. As such, all Black people don’t hate cops (a common belief in parts of the US), nor do all addicts… Though I’m only a recreational user, I know an addict (lovely girl, used to do smack, is now a full-time college student) who got clean BECAUSE of a police officer who cared. I was stopped with a car full of pot smoke on the Interstate, and the cop let me go with a stern warning, knowing he was well within his duty to lock my ass up. So your statement just isn’t flying around here.
Being that most of us here are lovers of justice, karmic balance, and comeuppance, we stand on the side of RIGHT, without regard to color, ethnicity, social status, or badge number…. You, however, seem to stand on the side of people too lazy to think.
Yeah well you might have nice cops where you live but having been worked over by cops myself i can’t share your rose tinted view of the police force……..and it’s not just me my friends have been brutalised by the police…..for example..
A couple of my friends (male and female) who were walking down the street were started on by some people while out drinking one night and i was with them and this group of about 6 drunk guys started hitting my friend in the face for no reason except for the way they looked (skinhead/punks) when the police arrived they arrested my friend and his girlfriend and let the others go. while in custody they beat him and his girlfriend black and blue i was lucky to get away from them that night…….because when i saw them the next morning after they got out of the cells they were literally covered head to toe in nasty looking bruises and when they tried to lodge a complaint they were told that it would be their words against that of the officers and if they did lodge a complaint they would be charged with resisting arrest and assault (against the guys who beat them up)…….and their only crime was looking different and being beaten up
i have been on the receiving end of police of police brutality myself and been punched and slapped by officers when they were raiding a house that i happened to be visiting.
So it’s not hard to believe that those sadistic pigs would have sexually humiliated and abused some junkie in the line of duty……In fact as ridiculous as it sounds i was once at a party with a police officer (off duty) who regaling people with his war stories and laughing about how he loved to fuck with heroin addicts and basically humiliate them (not as bad as this though)……this guy was a total piece of shit and openly laughing about abusing addicts.
So when it comes down to the word of a cop against the word of a junkie…….I’ll believe the junkie every fucking time
So don’t give me no shit about the police being your friend they are the same fuckers who bullied people in highschool
But if I know SOME cops are nice, then it becomes a fact that not ALL cops are bad then, correct? Your generalizing is no better than that of the folks who beat your friend up.
yeah but my generalisation doesn’t shove night sticks up peoples ass ;)
That’s the point, brainiac. NO ONE shoved anything up this mans ass.
You know what, Stormy? You are into slamming us law enforcement apologists. I am going to give you a treat.
Read the book (you can read, right?) No Lights, No Sirens by Robert Cea. He is a retired cop who admittedly was a corrupt son of a bitch and will regale you with wonderful stories on how bad people in law enforcement actually are. It’s perfect reading for someone like you who hates cops.
Oh, sidenote? Mr. Cea? Yeah. He was actually corrupt in a GOOD way…meaning he used to trick pieces of shit into ratting one another out. Like, he used to give addicts heroin so they would testify against their dealers? Isn’t that genius? Gotta love him. He was also a big proponent of allowing people to smoke marijuana…because the paperwork to lock them up was just too long and tedious. So, while you can enjoy the thought of hating his corrupt ass…he really did some insane shit to clean up the streets of NYC. In some twisted way, he’s sort of a hero.
Give the book a read! I think you’ll enjoy it!
Yes it does as you still feel the police officers are guitly EVEN when there is NO evidence to support that theory.
that book sounds ace CP I’ll have to track that down thanks :)
ROFL…..sorry ya’ll, but that was some funny shit! *tear* :D
In defense of Stormy – there are people who just manage to get on the wrong side if a system and just can’t get back on the right side if such.
At Northeastern I seemed to skate under the radar with a lot of BS, but evenyually when the system got it’s act semi-togther, I was screwed, except for the fact that if the whole system work properly I would have been unscrewed at the time…….
So Stormy is offering us an opinion from the dark side of the Blue Wall…….
But Stormy is an example of the fact that every acusation needs to be questioned based on facts. While the facts nail this POS as a liar, just as ALL the facts would nail Rodney King as an asshole as well, but once again the American Media irresponibly showed only the portion of the tape that would get them ratings!
AHHH! I tried to let it go, honestly I did, but alas….I can’t. My dear Freddy, whether Mr. King was or is an ‘asshole’ doesn’t justify what happened in the minute and seventeen seconds worth of tape that I saw. Google it. If the cops were using the excuse of him trying to rise in that first second as means to justify that beat down because they felt threatened…well, come on. No man would feel threatened to such a ruthless degree with those odds! A dozen to one? And the dozen had weapons! Sure…they feared for their lives, please. Also, have you ever tried to stay perfectly still while your being whacked repeatedly with a stick? I promise, it’s impossible. It’s a natural relfex to flop about under such circumstances. What about the 60 seconds that followed, when Rodney DID manage to lat still, even as the cop was wailing on his leg and then the one cop kicked him in the back of the head!! ….Ugh! I’m shutting up now……FOR now anyway… I’m only beating a dead horse….I couldn’t help it, the damn thing flinched! hehehe.
I saw more of that popular tape and after he was cuffed, none of the cops even touched him. During “the beating” he kept getting up.
I will agree that some of those cops were assholes, but the fact is that Rodney had no major injuries. While I would not like to get the beating he got, the fact of the matter is he was on drugs and he needed an extra dose of pain to get the idea of who was incharge. He was NOT alone, he had friends with him – si why were they not out taking a couple of the police on in his behalf?
Why were they not lying on top of Rodney to keep him down and stop the cops from beating on him??? Or does Rodney hang out with trash????
I could have EASILY been a victim of “police brutality” on at least one occasion…. I was at Back BAy Station when a cop was coming toward me – I thought nothing of it as I seemed to have no business with him. As I was purchasing a ticket, this big hand covered my shoulder and it was appartently ready to put on a very forceful grip. I was nicely asked for ID which I just put my waleet up and let him take it. I then turned around and asked him what was up and he saod that I matched a description of someone else.
Had I chose to run or remove his hand, I guess I could have been a millionaire….
One of the officers could have used deadly force long before anyone decided to even look for a camera…….. Also I am willing to bet that much of the facial injury Rodney had was his own fault, him falling on his face rather than direct batton blows. While I am no fan of the police when they have nothing better to do than pass out parking tickets or assume that any group of more than 2 kids is a gang, I do beleive they (most of them) is what keeps the scum from taking over… Now we just need such people in government.
Hi Fred, I’ve had bad experiences with a couple cops myself, I even brought harrassment charges against one and can still say that I agree one hundred percent that the majority of officers are good….just not that bunch of fucknuts. =) Of course they stopped beating him once in cuffs, they couldn’t have wiggled out of trouble then, if they had not. (They probably knew they were on tape by then.) Excessive force shouldn’t have to involve ‘major injuries’ such as broken bones, before it’s considered wrong. As far as his friends go well,… they hauled ass, or at least that’s what Rodney said when appearing on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew!! LOL….Looove that show, Dr. Drew is yummy!! *wink*
I am sorry to hear that.
There are many good people who make a mistake and end up on the wrong side and stay there no matter what.
Then there are POS who, no matter what they do, will stay on the right side of things………. There are some people that walk on water because shit floats….. and those who sink because gold is so heavy.
I don’t believe these cops did, either.
You are KILLING me with these stories. Your friends HAPPENED to get beat up. They HAPPENED to get brutalized by the police. You HAPPENED to get roughed up when you HAPPENED to be in some house somewhere.
Stormy…I have lived with a police officer for most of my life (hi daddy!) and have been a nurse for over a decade. And, in my experience, while working very closely with the police force both here and in NYC…I have found that most people who HAPPENED to get their asses kicked did something to provoke the situation.
Either that, or you are just one unlucky, dumb fuck.
I will give you the benefit of the doubt and go with the former…but your words definitely make me want to go to the latter.
Yeah look i’m not saying that all cops are corrupt or assholes I have met a few really cool ones myself….really stand up people decent people……but i have met some fuckers to
all i’m saying is that just because they were found not guilty does not make it so as cops in the US seem to get away with fucking murder.
and i mean no disrespect to any member of your family either I’m sure they are good people…..but on the other side o the coin there is some straight up assholes who are on the force and something like this assault happening is a very real possibility.
Not to paint them all with the same brush but in my experience having a badge does not mean you are automaticly righteous neither do i think you could get a fair trial against cops
Stormy, you like to point and shout ‘racist’ at any opportunity, yet you make some generalizations that would be considered racist if they were about a color instead of a badge. Your negative comments are blanket statements about all cops, don’t you see that? If I were to replace the word “Cop” or “Police” with the infamous “N” in some of your posts and repost them as my own, you’d be the second or third person to jump down my throat for it. I don’t give a shit if you and your friends were brutalized by cops. That doesn’t make all cops instantly suspect and unworthy of our respect.
I could tell you stories about blacks and browns in my high school days that would make you wonder why I’m not racist. I’m not racist because those people were negative, and most negatives are in the minority when you look at the entire group as a whole. After all of your tirades, I can’t believe it seems I have to tell you that. As much as I dislike your attitude much of the time, I like YOU because you’re not afraid to think for yourself. I wish you would take those thoughts to their logical conclusion before signing your nym to them.
You are a difficult person to take seriously because you really like to shake the hive for no other reason than to hear the angry buzz. You’re an admitted troll. I agreed with Max when he allowed you back after your banning because I thought you were actually capable of contributing intelligence to conversation. Now I see you prefer to create controversy even if it makes you look like a racist extremist.
You right but how fucking depressing would site be without a bit of controversy…….i mean i’m not lying about the shit i have written but i do put a little spin on it for effect but I hope I’m just presenting another point of view for people to consider and argue about…….and i genuinely have been fucked over by police officers and my friends have been savagely beaten by them to
i don’t pretend to know if they are guilty or not I just think that the opposing view point needs a voice sometimes
Stormy have you ever heard of a song by a Boston Hardcore band called Slapshot. They did the song Chip on my Sholder. You fit that very well.
So here’s the deal when I was in the US last time I was down town Seattle. I had on my 8 hole ox blood Docs. Ver nice boots by the way. White laces (which means jack shit by the way I just like the way the white laces look in my boots) braces, skull cap and my bomber jacket. I look the part. Cops were sitting in thier cruiser about 50m from where I was standing. They sawme having a smoke and hit reverse. They asked me for ID, which I showed with no comment of stupid “badass” look. I was asked what I was doing there and I said I was having a smoke while my brother and his wife were in that store shopping. (some makeup store) MY ID was given back to me and I was wished a nice day whice I returned. No problems.
Here is what I think happened to your “friends” They were walking down the street having a few drinks and being a little louder than normal. The drunk bums came up and bullshit was slung from your “friends” bullshit was slung back. Maybe some shoving. The copy on a normal patroll showed up and started cracking down. They most likely read a volitile situation and reacted accordingly.
I doubt very highly that your “friends” got “beat up” They might have been told the bullshit by the cops but 90% of people in the US know they can get a lawyer to file a complaint. It’s that fucking simple.
Now Skinhead or Punk? Which was it. I am a old school skin. I am not some freshcut kiddie. I’ve been around a while on this mud ball we call a planet. I smell bullshit form your post and I am caling you on it.
So either put up or carry yer bonehead self.
well my friend is typical skin head “ox blood” 20 hole doc martens tight jeans and red braces (not racist mind) his girlfriend had a pink mohawk and we were walking round a more exclusive part of town with lot’s of short haired alpha male assholes out drinking al looking like estate agents on a night off called his girlfriend a dyke then some started in on him i mean we were outnumbered 3 or 4 to 1 so fighting back would have been pointless (he is quite a handy lad to)……anyway cut a long story short he got hit a few times and caught the odd punch then the police came down and took one look at him and his girlfriend and arrested them while the yuppie fucks got away scot free the fuckers didn’t even take any statements just booked them for “disturbing the peace” I was lucky not to have been lifted myself or we would have been charged with affray.
now yeah maybe I’m a bit biased against cops but you should have seen the state of them the next morning they had been straight up fucked up by the police and could hardly walk due to the beating they got
There was a group of Mexican guys in my high school who used to leer at me as I walked by. They’d waggle their tongues and make rude finger gestures. I hated walking by them, but it was the only route from one class to another at that time. They made me feel sick to my stomach.
That was my first real experience with Mexicans, aside from our gardeners and they wouldn’t have dared to treat me like that.
Do I now have a right to treat all Mexicans as if they’re dirty, disrespectful pigs? I mean, I have justification, right? I was tormented all through high school by a gang of them, so I guess it’s o.k. to believe they’re all shit. I guess I have a lot of thinking to do.
No i can vibe with that but all i’m saying is the certainty that people have about this case is ridiculous I mean this shit has happened before at the hands of the police……..and when given the choice between the word of a junkie and the word of 3 officers the jury will always side with the officers making them above the law.
All i’m saying is there is real possibility that it did happen
You keep saying there was a real possibility that it happened. No. It didn’t. It was a complete and utter fabrication. Not even a shred of truth to it.
You’re a strange character, Stormy. You come in with guns blazing, full of generalizations…and then, mea culpa’s and stories to align yourself with the other members of this community.
I don’t know whether to slap you or hug you.
I know there are bad cops out there. Just like I know there are bad priests, bad teachers and *gasp* bad politicians. I know these people do worse things than I could ever imagine doing. I know power attracts the corrupt and corruptible, and you really shouldn’t give ultimate power to someone who actually wants it. No sane man actually wants it. I’ve seen all of this in action, and I’ve heard enough to believe it’s not just my perspective. I know this is the fundamental flaw in our system of governance. I get you on that. I really do.
Given the choice between the junkie and the cops, I’d have to take a look at records. I’d have to consider all available eyewitnesses and all professional opinions.
If the junkie has a criminal record, if he had already tried to sue the city for a ridiculous amount of money and lost, if he’s a gang member, and in light of how he presented himself in court then yes, I feel justified in labeling him a lying scumbag. It’s not because of his color, his mods or where he puts his penis, it’s because of ‘the content of his character’. Occam’s Razor is a powerful tool.
I stopped debating theoretical situations in High School. I prefer to think about and debate real situations now, rather than imaginary ones. When a devils advocate is needed in order to get people to actually think, then a devils advocate is appreciated. Looking through the threads about this story, it doesn’t seem to me that we haven’t thought our opinions through. Nor does it seem to me that both sides weren’t presented.
Having said that, you are a good devils advocate, I just wish you’d pick your battles. I am still glad you’re back. Don’t be a dick. ;)
@Stormymaybe I have lived a shelterd life. No idea. I have only been hasseled by the MP’s when I was stationed here in Germany. We did learn how to fuck them back. Nothing special. We got hasseled becasue we were Infantry. No other reason. Shit hapenes.
Now did you or your friends take pictures of the damage the day after? If you did then take those pictures to a lawyer. Should this have really happened then those responsible should be punished. They broke a trust.
Yuppies will never ge arrested over skins and punks. Simple as that. Remember I have been in and around the scene since I was 8. My first show was Black Flag, The Accused, Misfits and Dead Kenedys. Been there done that. I startedone of th first crews in Tacoma WA. I was booking shows when I was 16. After I got out of the Army I went back to booking shows. Love my HC. I worked part time driving a tour van. Met some damn good people who still want to help me out today. So now I’m back to booking shows with a friend here in Cologne. I know the people and he has the skills. We kick ass.
Anyway you aint the only “fringe” person here.
I have a pair of 20 hole Cochoran Jump Boots I was issued in 1990 when I graduated from Airborne School. docs are good again. I bought a pair in 95 and they fell the hell appart in a year. My Jumps are going on thier 3rd sole! You might want to ook in to a pair. Might run ya a little more but well worth the money. They will outlast you!
Docs had a factory in China and the quality just fell to shit. I bought a pair last year in Seattle. Made damn sure they were Made in the UK. Feck yes they are!
My dad has a pair he was issued in 65. He put 9 soles on his. I am having them bronzed for his grave. Yes they still are wearable and presentable after almost 50 years. Should tell you something….
Mulch you sound like a righteous motherfucker man and a stand up guy it’s good to know that there is some subcultural cats of the fringe here to man……
*Fist bump*
True dat! Get yerself to Germany. Meet my crew and have a few brews at a show. No one messes wiht anyone at a show I’m at. Peace through severe head stomping works all the time.
Last show I was at after the show some rockabilly shitstain smacked his ex. He is now nursing a dislocated sholder and elbow and a broken nose. I told him if I see him smacking another woman I would bury him. No excuse for that shit. Also gives the shows I put on a very bad name. And skins and punks in general.
We get enough shit because of boneheads.
I thought Doc Marten was sold to China and they don’t make them anymore in the UK! I heard that from a guy who used to sell them in Long Beach, CA. so I’ve been nursing the pair I bought 15 years ago to keep them as long as I can. Luckily I got the thick soles. My husband got a pair of 10′s a couple of years ago and the uppers were made of card board. I was in mourning for months. :(
Did you find a place that had overstock from the UK factory? HOW DO I GET A NEW PAIR??? Halp.
UK Made Docs are found mostly on thier website. You have to special order em.
Serioulsy I’de rather buy a pair of Cocherans. They are still made in Mass and by hand. Cost a few bucks more but they will outlast yer kids of you take care of em.
China made Docs arn’t that bad. A friend has a pair he bought 2 years ago. The biggest problem was from a single factoy. The factory was closed down about 3 years ago but the inventory was still being sold.
I bought mine in Seattle right around the corner from Pikes Place. Just a little store that you’de miss if you blinked.
By the way… Your Rodney King analogy is completely irrelevant; we’d be outraged if this alleged baton-o-rama happened to ANYONE (note: it would had to have actually HAPPENED, though!); and NYPD cops past and present all pale in comparison to the ones in New Orleans from 1930s- early 2000s.
Just for YOUR edification, jackass.
they were found not guilty weren’t they?
They were acquitted in the face of (very explicit) videotaped evidence.
All evidence here points to the contrary of Mineo’s claims.
Thus, your point is irrelevant.
Again, I believe that the weather has still not cleared as to the focus of the thrust of this site……
IT’S THE LACK OF EVIDENCE!!! The holy junkie could have been a woman, a child, a smart-ass teenager for that matter. I wouldn’t give a shit who the “victim” in this “crime” was; the fact remains the same:
IT’S A LIE – THERE WAS NO ABUSE; THERE WAS NO ASSAULT!!!
unless of course you count the assault Mineo performed on every clear-thinking individual with two brain cells to rub together — he must be a very heavy user if he is so addle minded that he thinks his story is believable in the absence of any physical evidence.
I am very glad that the jury was able to look at all the facts and base their conclusion on the absence of evidence. This isn’t just a case of he said, the cops said. It is a case of he said, assault with a police baton!! But had no evidence of such an attack.
I think madamayhem is spot on, tho’; it is unlikely that Mineo will let this go, especially if he has the backing of the usual vigilantes (Al Sharpton et al).
Nah. I don’t think we’ll hear from Mineo again. Word on the street is that the good Reverend has backed away from this particular situation. The man may have no sense when it comes to a good hair style…but he knows a liar when he hears one. He backed him prior to the DNA evidence being completed…but once the verdict came in, he quieted his roar.
Al’s known for his theatrics…but he ain’t stupid.
Oh, thank the stars above!! Damn it all, I don’t think much of Sharpton, but at least he knows that if the DNA isn’t there, then there’s no truth to Mineo’s claims.
As for hair style, well, at least he isn’t giving Don King a run for his money. :-p
VC, CP, Double D (heehee)…and all my other PYSIH chums, including but not limited to; Abeautifullife, E, Miwist, Fred….even Stormy’s craaaazy butt! I’d love to get to know ya’ll better. If ya got Face Book look me up at wallstephanie@hotmail.com! ;)
I got you already, Mulchy Mulch! *wink* =)
You… you want to get to know Stormy’s butt? That’s quite interesting, I would like to hear more. I would like to subscribe to your newsletter.
In fact, I just did. ;)
that’s not you is it?
my god :O
And apparently.. she wants your butt. I dunno, ask her.
People that look like that don’t lurk on message boards like this man…..i assumed most of you were in wheel chairs or hideous weird people things without social lives or teeth ;)
But Christ on a Kawasaki was I wrong…….. kind of feel bad for antagonising you now ;)
You mean Steph-Ann, not me obviously. ;) No wheelchair here yet either, but I’m working on it!
Never, never feel bad about antagonizing me. I’m just a naive, idiot fucknut who loooves a good fight! lol…and I’ve never been a ‘lurker’. I jumped in with both feet the first time I was shown this site, not too long ago. Shout out to my sister, Nicole! (I’m a dork) =)
Not quite there yet, stormy. No wheelchair…except maybe when I’ve had too much to drink and no one volunteers to carry me, which has happened…and still have all my teeth, at least I did the last time I checked :)
I sit in a chair with wheels on the bottom of it, but it ain’t a wheelchair, ;). Geez, stormy, it’s all good. A little antagonizing is okay if all parties consent.
LMAO….yes. And, I want his butt cuz it’s probably a little less noisy than his MOUTH!! (teasing Storm) I just have a thing….for butts….
well if I wasn’t behind this computer screen i wouldn’t be able to talk to you as I’d probably go to pieces man. :o
MAX! Steph-Ann did the impossible! SHE BROKE STORMY! BAHAHAHAHAHA! ;)
she broke my heart ;)
Ah yes….my work here is done. lol =P
I just did too. I’m at stacy42182@yahoo.com…nice to put faces to my pysih peeps…LOL
Um, Stormy… I really think you need to re-think your mental image of the people who post on PYSIH. BWHAHAHAHAHA! OH mercy!
Holly fuck is everybody here a model or something……I’ve never seen better looking people in my life man
/blushes
*souther bell dialect
I do declair!
Haha…see why you shouldn’t assume things, or generalize Storm? SD and VC are hot mamas!! You go girls! =)
As are you, Steph. :) Must give credit when it’s due.
<..> I am luke-warm at best. ;) And damn, wasn’t Luke Skywalker a hottie back in the day? I love word association.
The 1992 Los Angeles Riot happened because of Rodney King Beating and Trial triggered it. The Rodney King beaten was part of the reason why the LA Riots happened in 1992. The other reason it happened was Soon Ja Du, a store owner, shot and killed 15 year old Latasha Harlins after she was caught shoplifting in 1991. It happened after Rodney King Beaten was known. Du got probation and community service. There was a lot of tensions between Blacks and Asians in Los Angeles prior to the riot. During the riots, many Korean owned businesses were targeted by the rioters. Many were looted and destroyed.

Can’t we all just get along? ;)
LMAO, CP you’re silly! Oh yeah everyone….Let’s not forget Reginald Denny! Poor guy. Hope all is well with you, sir. God Bless!
It just goes to show you that, like The Chef said in Apocalypse Now after he and Marty Sheen ran into that tiger (paraphrased), you should “Never get out of the truck! Never get out of the truck!”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9kT8rTsaHI4
ROFL….awe, poor Reg.
Right and wrong on both sides of all that. I remember seeing the beatings but I never saw any footage before that. I always wondered what he did and said. I used to ask. I bor board with being called a racist. “Dat man King he jus a poo black man lookin ta go ta work and fee his kids” Yah OK and the prior charges and arrests? “Boy u is a nigger hatin, bed sheet wearin racist!” I’s a gonna git ma gak ain put a cap on yo ass” Semed to be the responses I got. YAAAAAAAWN
Racism only exists where people WANT to see it. I work with Asians, Arabs, Germans, English, Indians and another American. Funny how we are always under a lot of pressure and still no racism. We joke and mess around but no hate. Funny dat? I seem to think so. No one has to tell us “it’s baaaad” We know it is and we do in fact get along. I have had them over to my house for BBQ and I have been to thier houses. No problems there.
Fuck it all. Racism is a myth though up by liberals to use black people for votes and make those of us who work for a living feel like shit. Fuck it all.
I am not a racist. I have FTW tatooed on my left arm. I hate everyone equally.
Mulch, it’s the same in the medical records department where I work, we’re Caucasian, Black, hispanic, Egyptian/Muslim, Filipino, and Indian . . . and, all the above never really registered with me, they were just people I worked with, ’til the day a “diversity counselor” or some damn thing came to give a (mandatory attendance) lunch time talk, and got in everyone’s face . . . A very angry, intimidating woman.
Her message was, “We all (in the world) better be diverse or ELSE . . . ” There was a lot of chin music and verbal flatulence but it boiled down to that.
After she left my coworker Michael a/k/a Young Mikey, a black guy whom I annoy and verbally abuse every chance I get — :) — a very laid back, sweet natured guy — was so angry he was almost stuttering. “Who is she to tell us? Can’t seh see who she’s talking to? Can’t they just shut up and let us do our jobs?” I said, “Damn your right. Yeah, we all look different and we get the job done without a lot of rah-rah horseshit from the angry-eyed do gooders.”
If those in power would just back off, shut up, and leave people alone . . I think a lot of problems would solve themselves (not all of em certainly and not all people, blah blah, but u know what I mean.)
Anyway that’s my happy horsecrap story for the day.
I feel yer ya. When I was in the Army I was up for E-5 Promotion. A little black kid got my slot. No big deal for me. I’ll get it when I get it. I was in the Army 28 months. Been to Operation Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Provide Compfort and a few TDY deployments. I had attended and graduated Ranger, Airborne, Air Assult, PLDC, German Airborne School and French Commando School. I was more than ready. The little shit that got the job was just that shit. He knew nothing and had no experience. He got the slot because he was black and went to the CO and told him if he doesn’t get the E-5 slot he would bring the CO up on racism charges. No big deal for me. He was siddendly my squad leader and I was still Alfa team leader.
I can look you in the eye and tell you honestly that I tried to work with him. I triely did. No hard feelings from me. Well never worked. Every time I tried to advise him I was told to shut my white mouth and get back to work.
6 months after he got my 5 slot I escorted him to the MP’s because he was under investigation for drug and prostitution charges. Funny how people can fall in to a van, while the van is driving and getting out of the van. Most courious thing I ever saw was how someone could fall UP stairs and face plane every single stair.
OMG — what a story. Well it sounsd like you totally have/had the right attitude, and sometimes that’s all a person can do. And how cool that karma worked this time, and in a timely manner so you could see the fun! I t hink that most times for most people, what goes around comes around, but unfortunately the rest of us sometimes aren’t there to watch when they get their ass bit. (And LAUGH!) Glad you were, Mulch!
so i guess one could assume that mr.mineo had his own head up his ass and that caused his booty to hurt?
This seems possible. I mean, his cranium looks quite streamlined, kinda tapered at the top like a butt plug.
Now that you say that…I do see a butt plug similarity. Wow!
PLEASE – PLEASE – STOP -MAKING – ME – LAUGH . . .
I should know betteer by now, If I see vcbecky’s name above a post I just shouldn’t read the damn thing, it’s dangerous!!
And you know I don’t mean it, PUH LEEZE keep on doin that voodoo, that you do, so well . . . . . .
TEE HEE! ;) *HUG*!
Big one back!! ( ) !!
If it wasn’t for the forensic evidence, i may have believed it. This sort of thing has happened, does happen, and will happen. I mean there are “bad cops” but I don’t think those cops would be dumb enough to do it in a public place like that. Ah well, I won’t remember this idiot.
Just came back from vacation with my hubby (Gawd, what a wonderful time! **blushes**)… Glad to have come back to such a riotously funny and nauseatingly heart-warming update. I’m officially going to have to create a Facebook page just so I can stay in the loop with my fellow PYSIH-heads! (Are they pages? Profiles? I don’t even Twitter *or “tweet” as it were…) And it’s all because of you guys! Damn, I liked being a lamer… I hate being forced onto the bandwagon! (At least, I can justify joining if I act like I do… LOL)
Where’d you guys go? Sorry the post below this one should have been a reply to yours, I’m confused today!! more than usual.
Welcome back! Sounds like somebody had *fun* ;-) where’d you go?
Thx!! Glad to be back, truly… (I actually missed PYSIH – my hubs imposed a strict ‘NO BLOGGING’ rule for the entire duration of the trip…LOL)
We went down to the Gulf of Mexico coast for a quick vacay – a four-day trip just to get away from it all… Did a little shopping, did some bar-hopping, and even hit up the casino! (I don’t gamble, but I damn sure EAT, and the buffet was AWESOME! No cafeteria food in sight! LOL.) It was pure bliss… (and it’s a good thing I’m FIXED… **wink**) but alas, it had to come to an end, and reality has resumed her place.
**sighs and picks up sword and Hammer of Righteous Anger**
Now, back to the usual cast of clowns… I’ll bet the hell-bound bastards missed me. :-)
(Speaking of which, did anybody else hear that Shania Davis’ mom got released on bond?!?!? WTF???)
As a person who grew up with a violent, alcoholic father.. the line that reads “go back to protecting the people of NY” makes me laugh.. you’re protecting people from a guy smoking weed??? HAHAHAHA seriously… I have never met a violent pothead. Alcohol is perfectly legal and it destroys more families than marijuana ever could.. Not defending Mineo or condemning the cops..just saying.. no one needs protection from stoners.
In fact, rehabilitation at South Coast Recovery is meant to be a time of recuperation and healing.
