JENNIFER PETKOV PLEADS GUILTY TO ASSAULT, GETS PROBATION

Jennifer Petkov, the 33-year-old Trenton resident who gained international infamy last year after she admitted to taunting her dying 7-year-old neighbor, on Tuesday agreed to a plea deal that will require her to move from her home on Detroit Street.
The News Herald reports Petkov pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault and battery in a case involving another neighbor, Tana Boling, who she allegedly tried to run over with her car.
Feb. 1, News Herald:
Wayne County Circuit Judge Carole Youngblood sentenced Petkov to 18 months probation with the following conditions: psychological evaluation with treatment, if recommended; substance abuse evaluation with treatment, if recommended; anger management; no contact with Bowling or the five block area of Detroit Street, Washington, Cleveland, Park Place or Roerig.
Also, Petkov must move out of her house in the 100 block of Detroit Street.
If Petkov violates any of the conditions of her probation, she will serve 93 days in the Wayne County Jail under the plea agreement.
Petkov found herself an unlikely internet sensation last year when she admitted on camera to taunting Kathleen Edward, a 7-year-old suffering from Huntington’s Disease. The video went viral, leading to an outpouring of support for Kathleen and unwanted pizza deliveries for her bully.
Separately, Petkov was arraigned last month for violating a personal protection order against Kathleen’s grandmother, Rebecca Rose, who previously suggested “the only way this is going to get resolved is for one of us to move.”
Looks like she’ll get her wish as the so-called “Devil on Detroit Street” packs up for a move.

I’m enjoying the possibility that she’ll have to take anger management classes, go through therapy and drug rehab. I’m pleased Kathleen’s family will no longer have to see the Petkovs, but the poor girl was bullied via the internet, and unfortunately this means the Petkovs could continue to bully Kathleen whereever they move to. Hopefully this is the end of it, but she’s a spiteful bitch- she can’t have a conscience, how else could anyone bully a dying 7 year old… Just pleased there aren’t many people like her in the world, touch wood..
When you consider the massive public outcry her actions generated, I highly doubt she’ll pull the same stunt on the same victims again. I think that, once she moves away, Kathleen and her friends and family won’t hear from her again. Unfortunately they’ll be someone else’s problem then, but perhaps that person will recognize Jennifer and put her in her place if necessary. There are ‘meaner’ people out there than the Petkov’s. Usually you have to stir them up in order to see it, but I think Jennifer and Scott will be up to that challenge.

Yeah, her idiot husband lost his job, she lost custody of her kids, and she gets arrested. Most people would take all this as signs that maybe they made a tactical error somewhere and try to correct it. Not her.

If I said or did something that was so heinous that the rest of the world called me out on it, I’d have to at least entertain the fact that I was wrong. And if I found that I was out of line, I would apologize in private to the family with deep sincerity and without the freakin bitchy lizard face that lets them know I don’t really mean it. I would mean it from my heart, I would learn from the consequences, and I would leave it to them to let the world know that I had sincerely apologized. And that they did or did not accept.

You know I can’t help but agree. She is very unstable. If she doesn’t kill someone she will manipulate someone else into doing it for her. You can tell by her husbands mannerisms that she is clearly the dominant one in that relationship. So she probably surrounds herself with people that are submissive and of lower intelligence. She behaves like a spoiled little narcassist. I can guarantee we will be hearing more. Her personality won’t allow this to be over.

If some of the comments on this site are what people actually feel then a lot of folks here need to really take a good look at themselves. Some come off so full of hate that they are just as scummy as the people they are commenting on. Guess that’s the nature of the plague that is the human race.
I bet if this had nothing to do with a little girl no one would give two turds about any of it. That says volumes about our society and just how hypocritical we are.
The only thing I find more stupid than how this couple acted is how fast they gave in and apologized. Court mandated treatment has to be the biggest joke on the planet and is definitely more punishment than doing time in Jail though.
