  • Sarah Kolb, Cory Gregory And Nathan Gaudet

As a nurse who works in an acute care setting, I find myself able to stomach the sort of things that those who choose other career paths might not be able to tolerate.

A lunch break where I work usually involves eating as quickly as we possibly can, and being frequently interrupted to attend to situations that might ruin the average appetite. After cleaning up blood or other bodily substances, I wash my hands and return to our half-eaten meal for a couple more bites. That’s right…while a sick patient is losing their lunch, I am often holding their emesis basin wondering when I will be able to finish my lunch.

But even my well-trained stomach took one hell of a leap when I read that after Sarah Kolb, 16, Cory Gregory, 17, and Nathan Gaudet, 16, dismembered the body of Adrianne Reynolds, they stopped at McDonald’s to enjoy some cheeseburgers before moving on to the dump site that they chose for the head and arms of their victim. A few days later, Cory Gregory lost the battle with his own conscience, and investigators were finally able to inform the Reynolds family that their daughter would not be coming home.

Sixteen-year-old Adrianne Reynolds was much like any other teenage girl. Life was not perfect for her in Longview, Texas, so to improve her situation she moved in with her adopted father and step-mother in East Moline, Illinois.

She was a talented singer, enjoyed performing songs for others, and could move listeners to tears with the sound of her voice. Unfortunately, she did not take a great interest in school, and with no high school credits to her name, she enrolled at Black Hawk College Outreach to obtain her GED.

It was at this alternative high school where she met Sarah Kolb and Cory Gregory in November, 2004. Although they initially hit it off, the friendship quickly turned sour when Sarah Kolb became jealous of the new girl in school who was attracting many of the boys. According Gregory’s testimony, Sarah was bisexual and had been interested in dating Adrianne herself, which only contributed to her jealously.

After a heated argument in December, Adrianne tried desperately to repair their friendship, while Sarah had a different sort of resolution in mind. She told several classmates and even wrote in her journal of her intentions to kill Adrianne.

On January 21, 2005, when Sarah and Cory invited her to lunch to discuss the friendship, Adrianne accepted and got into the car with them. The classmates drove to a nearby Taco Bell parking lot where drama between the two girls erupted in broad daylight during the busy lunch hour.

What exactly happened in the car is unclear, because after their arrests Cory and Sarah did exactly what anyone would expect-they pointed fingers at each other. Witnesses at Taco Bell that day were unable to shed much light on the situation because the winter air outside caused the car windows to fog up, thus preventing a clear view of the inside of the car.

Yes, that is correct, there were witnesses who saw that something was happening in the car, but quickly shrugged it off as being nothing more than teenagers goofing around. Prosecutors believe the story that the two allegedly shared with Nathan Gaudet; that Cory held Adrianne’s arms while Sarah beat her with a wooden handle and strangled her with a belt.

Cory Gregory: “They just started swinging at each other and then Adrianne hits Sarah in the nose. Sara’s nose started bleeding. So Sarah grabbed this wooden stick that she keeps in her car for def — protection, she says, and started to hit her a couple times with it and they kept fighting and wrestling and it moved to the back seat.

Sarah’s on top of Adrianne and she choking Adrianne and then Adrianne goes out and Sarah gets off her and sits in the car – sits back in the front seat. We sit there and smoke a cigarette for awhile.”

Regardless of what actually occurred in that car, these two teenagers were responsible for the beating and strangling death of Adrianne Reynolds, and they went on to prove this when they tried to dispose of the body. The duo drove to another location, put Adrianne’s body in the trunk of the car, and headed out to a farm owned by Sarah’s grandparents.

Cory Gregory: “We pour the gasoline on her and light her on fire.”

Rob Stafford, Dateline correspondent: “Who poured the gas?”

Cory Gregory: “I poured the gasoline on the tarp.”

    Stafford: “Who lit the match?”

Cory Gregory: “It was a butane lighter. I used the lighter and lit it and then Sarah and I we just stood away and Sarah laid her head on my shoulder. She just started crying, you know, so I tried to sit there and comfort her.”

While the Reynold’s family was notifying police that their daughter had not shown up to work at Checker’s restaurant and that they believed she was missing, Cory and Sarah were trying to figure out what to do next with Adrianne, because she didn’t turn to ash as they expected she would:

Cory Gregory: “Sarah decides we need to get the body off the land and says, ‘We gotta cut the body up.’ Sarah’s trying to talk me into doing it. I’m like, ‘No, you know, I can’t do that, you know.’ Lighting a fire’s one thing, but I can’t cut up a body. It ain’t right.”

Stafford: “None of this is right, Cory.”

Cory Gregory: “I know, I know, none of this is right, but I told her, ‘I can’t do this, you know. I won’t do it.’

Cory Gregory: “(Nathan Gaudet’s) into blood and gore. He was the type of kid that’d go around killing animals and stuff, so Sarah figured he might help.”

The following day, Cory and Sarah enlisted their friend Nathan Gaudet to help them dispose of the body. Nathan, who they knew had a fascination with blood, gore, and killing animals, accompanied the other two teens to the farm with his grandfather’s handsaw, where he proceeded to dismember Adrianne. They dumped the torso and legs in a nearby ravine, and after grabbing a bite to eat, they drove to Black Hawk Historic Site where they buried the rest of her several feet below a manhole cover.

A few days later, Cory broke down and confessed to his parents and then to the police, telling his version of what happened to Adrianne:

Bert Gregory, Cory Gregory’s father: “He started crying. And I started asking him questions, and he started breaking down. He started crying more. So I knew something was up.”

“I just couldn’t even say anything. I just cried and hugged him. And he says, ‘Mom, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.’ At that point my heart was so broken, I didn’t even have words.”

“I said, ‘Did something happen to her in that car?’ And he started shaking his head, yes. He couldn’t talk.”

“I said, ‘Did she get hurt in the car?’ Shook his head yes. I said, ‘Did she get hurt bad? He said really, really a lot.’ I said, ‘Is she dead?’ He shook his head yes. I said, ‘Well where’ she at?’ He just couldn’t – he couldn’t talk.”

Shortly after, Nathan’s grandmother notified police of her grandson’s possible involvement after finding the bloody handsaw.

Cory Gregory claimed that his participation in the crime was only to help the girl he was in love with, Sarah Kolb, because he did not want her to go to jail. Fortunately, despite Cory’s original efforts, Sarah was tried as an adult. Unfortunately, on Wednesday, November 16th, 2005, Kolb’s first trial ended in a mistrial, after the jury failed to agree on a verdict.

Testimony began for Sarah Kolb’s retrial began on February 8th, 2006, and three weeks later she was found guilty of two counts of first degree murder and one count of concealing a homicide, and sentenced to 53 years behind bars.

Cory Gregory pled guilty to the same crimes in May of 2005 and will be serving a fabulous 45 years for his supposed minimal participation. On, December 17th, 2009, his latest appeal was denied by the 3rd District Appellate Court Of Illinois. Part of his complaint was that he should have gotten a lesser sentence because he was the one who lead authorities to Adrienne’s remains buried in Blackhawk State Park in Rock Island.

Seriously folks, Gregory’s appeal actually whined about that very thing (or words to that effect). The year before, when Cory Gregory’s appeal was heard before the Circuit Court, the judge called it a case of buyer’s remorse, referring to Gregory’s demand to withdraw his guilty plea and be given a new trial.

Unfortunately, the justice system failed Adrianne during the sentencing phase for Nathan. Plea bargaining and his age at the time of the crime earned him a puny sentence of five years in juvenile detention. Yes, that is correct – after doing the math in your head you have probably concluded the horrifying truth. Nathan Gaudet has already been released and is living freely among the rest of us. Shall we begin the betting on when we see his name involved in a crime again?

If there is a Hell, they should join 9/11 Terrorists, Adolf Hitler, and Ted Bundy there.

        York,

Thought you might like to know….Bin laden is confirmed dead, and the US has the body.

‘Tis a real shame that one there. Too bad there isn’t a line forming to piss upon his dead body. I would so be knocking people over for that honor. :)

        • USS Yorktown says:

I am aware that Osama bin Laden has kicked the bucket. Maybe we should have an entry of him here at PYSIH. :)

        • Lauren Griffiths says:

Not to sound unenthusiastic about this fuckstick’s passing- God, I hope it hurt!- the sad reality is that no matter whether or not OBL is dead, his legacy of hate and his mentality of blowing up anyone or anything that pisses you off is firmly embedded in the hearts and minds of thousands of psychotic fundamentalists with nothing else to occupy their sad little lives with.
The truth of the matter is that in spite of Hitler and Himmler dying, we STILL have Nazis. Eugene Terre’blanche may be dead but the AWB lives on. And I don’t know if education can be enough to overcome self- righteousness with these people. It’s a mentality, a glitch in their circuitry.
But yes, break out the fireworks. That dickbag deserved everything he had coming and more. They should TOTALLY display his severed head on a stick outside the White House.

          • USS Yorktown says:

I know killing bin Laden won’t stop terrorism, but he needs to pay and good riddance to him.

            • Lauren Griffiths says:

That’s what I was trying to say, just characteristically more long- winded. It was definitely a symbolic defeat and hopefully some small measure of comfort for the families of his innumerable victims.

            • Fred says:

OBL called us a “Paper Tiger” – I am glad that he got some lead from us!
Thank you to those that got him.
Yes – it took nealy 10 years, but still it proves that the US will follow thru!

            • vcbecky says:

I’m amazed that he used his wife as a human shield. A guy who crafted a public image like he did, the least he could do is go down like a proud Martyr instead of throwing himself under the skirts of a woman to hide when the final moment came. This is your Osama?

We should let the Taliban continue to think that we’re faking his death. That way, the vacuum will suck for much longer before they fill it.

            • Fred says:

No real surprise – once many bullies are actually confronted with any real force they act like trapped rats.

        • Stormy weathers says:

Osama Bin laden was the greatest CIA operative since Lee Harvey Oswald…..

          ……you American’s are very naive

          • Lauren Griffiths says:

            I’m a jaded South African, actually. :)

          • vcbecky says:

Actually no, Stormy, we aren’t naive. We are a lot of other things, but we’re well aware that our government is not all fluffy clouds and happy birdies. If you knew anything at all about true American culture, you’d know that. I’d no more judge an entire country based on what my country’s media and the internet tell me, than I would judge an entire race based on what a single person has done to me. If you think your own country’s government has ever operated with complete transparency, it is you who are naive, on top of being arrogant.

The death of Osama is purely a psychological win. His death will only create a power vacuum until someone else fills his role. The region will be more unstable, possibly that will relieve some bloodshed for a tiny little while (then ramp it back up), but that area has historically never been at peace. Overt Western military involvement only shook the board up, but the game started many Biblical years ago. The Crusaders vs. Islam is one of those battles that will never be won.

            • Maelstrom says:

My older brother is a JFK researcher and an expert on his assassination. He wrote a book. Perhaps you’d like to explain your ridiculous assumption that Oswald was a CIA operative, backed up with actual facts.

            • vcbecky says:

Imma assume that’s for Stormy, not me. ;) It’s a well-known fact that Marge Simpson killed JFK. There was a puff of blue hair visible on the Grassy Knoll that day…

            • Maelstrom says:

Ha ha….yes, yes. That was for Stormy. Your comment leaves very little to debate. :)

            • Maelstrom says:

And I suppose Jack Ruby wasn’t really an over weight night club owner, but a CIA operative as well, right ?

Ugh, ugh, ugh….post facts and proof before you start down a path of this nature, yeah.

And that is all. This thread isn’t the place for such a topic, and I have said my peace.

            • Stormy weathers says:

So Maelstrom let me get this right………your older brother is writing a book on the JFK assassination with a central thesis that Oswald was the lone gun man with the magic bullet?

Well wish him luck with that from me……..It should be the greatest work of fiction since Harry Potter

            • Maelstrom says:

No, Stormy, I said he wrote a book. It’s been published for a while. Perhaps if you removed your tin foil hat you may find that reading comprehension wouldn’t be another concept that seems to elude you.

And who said anything about Oswald being a lone gunman ? Certainly not I. However, don’t make the ridiculous assumption that he was a CIA operative without some solid facts to back up your claim.

Clear it up any, Einstein ?

          • Max The Cat says:

That’s ancient history Stormy – The CIA trained him and his buddies to fight the Russians in Afghanistan. The guy was a megalomaniac – he was addicted to being worshiped as a hero.

You’ve heard that old Arab saying, haven’t you:

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I’m not sorry Osama is dead, but I kinda of squirmed when I saw people celebrating at Times Square like it was New Years Eve. It reminded me of that clip of those pricks handing out candy in Lebanon a couple of hours after the towers went down on 9/11.

I think we’re better than that, but I can’t blame people for for being happy the asshole is dead. My problem is I think too much.

Turtle, my master, It is good to see you here again. Though I am not worthy to wash your feet, I welcome you back to PYSIH.

LoL – now that’s respect, eh brother? I’ve been watching way too many samurai movies lately.

You’ve been missed – There’s some things I’m just not capable of doing. Replacing your insight and your humor is definitely one of them.

          • TurtleMania says:

    3. madamayhem says:

Thanks for posting this, Max. This story is close to home for me because I am from the Quad Cities and have been to a lot of the locations where this took place. I always think about this crime when I pass that Taco Bell or Black Hawk Park. Unfortunately, I don’t think the story got as much attention as should have.

      • Maribeth says:

Horrible story and great write up madam. The story may have reached more people than you think though….I saw a special about this case a couple of years ago. Don’t remember what show, maybe American Justice. It featured an interview with Cory in prison. He’s a pudgy little bastard now. He blamed it all on Kolb, swore that he didn’t do much beside help her fend off Adrienne in the car, b/c according to him Adrienne was getting the best of Kolb. He said he was in love with Kolb and would do anything for her, and that’s the only reason he helped her dispose of Adrienne’s body.

This poor kid, trying to mend a friendship and she gets beaten/strangled to death for her efforts. What the fuck? How do teenagers become capable of committing such horrible acts?

And Nathan is a scary fucker huh? Dismembers a body with Grandma’s chainsaw just for the hell of it? He’s probably torturing a cat somewhere right now. Sick twisted fuck.

      • Max The Cat says:

It was my pleasure Madam – You’re a very good writer, so it was easy for me to get it ready for publishing. I hope you keep contributing your work to PYSIH, because I think you have a real talent for this sort of thing.

And Maribeth, you’re right, there was a show about this case on TV up until a couple of years ago, but it was Dateline NBC that produced it. I got a the quotes for Madam Mayhem’s story from Rob Stafford’s interview with Cory Gregory.

I gotta tell you, that kid was, and still is, an annoying little bitch. During the interview, he constantly minimized what happened to Adrianne Reynolds, especially his role in her murder.

He was 16 or 17 when he talked to Dateline, so you can chalk up some of that to immaturity, but Gregory is 24 now and he still thinks he got screwed on his plea deal.

Yeah, 48 years is a long time, but you’ll only be in your 60′s and still have a chance for some kind of life. It may not be much of a life, but it’s a hell of a lot better than the deal poor Adrianne got when he and Sara Kolb stole her life from her with a club upside her head and a belt around her neck.

    4. deb says:

Holy shit…. whatever happened to just walking away from a friendship and “I’m not speaking to you anymore”?

      It’s a crazy world.

    5. ARCELIA says:

THAT’S YET ANOTHER REASON WHY I DON’T BE BOTHERED WITH TEENS…THESE KIDS TODAY ARE EVIL……THEY HAVE NO REMORSE, NO RESPECT OR HUMAN DECENCY.

      AND THAT’S A DAMN SHAME!

      • ms. me says:

and who raised them like that? people of YOUR generation.

        • Max The Cat says:

Well said ms. me – Also, hinting that all teenagers are bad is as ignorant and illogical as saying all Black people are evil. Sarah Kolb, Cory Gregory And Nathan Gaudet were all anti-social losers well before they killed Adrianne Reynolds, and certainly don’t represent the majority of teenagers.

          • Mandie says:

Actually, Sarah Kolb wasnt anti-social. She was actually very sociable and had a large group of friends. Sarah was very popular and was intimidated by Adrienne cuz everybody was flocking to Adrienne. She also felt betrayed cuz she and Adrienne liked eachother and was supposed to hook up but Adrienne had sex with a boy instead. Also she didnt want her to steal Cory from her cuz Adrienne liked him. Out of jealousy and betrayal she killed Adrienne by strangulation by hand outside of Taco Bell. Before the murder and after the betrayal, Adrienne wouldnt leave her alone and kept pushing to be her friend. Cory only was involved cuz he was in love with Sarah. Nathan didnt know what was going on. All he knew was that they wanted to show him a dead body and for him to dismember it.

    6. Cassie says:

I think about this case all the time, particularly the Nathan Gaudet factor. Seriously, what did my friends call me up for when I was that age? To go to the movies, to go shopping, to get something to eat. His friends call him up and tell him they have a dead body lying around. This would be odd in itself, and then you consider that his response is to not ask any questions, and simply show up with a handsaw.

      WHAT IS THIS PERSON?

    7. Monica says:

Great story Madam Mayhem! Nice to see you writing for PYSIH.

With regard to Sarah and Cory, I don’t think there’d be anybody else who’d find it convenient to have a friend into blood and guts and killing animals. Most people would run from folks like that like the plague…

    8. chellesbelles says:

It’s only a matter of time before we see Nathan on PYSIH for something or other, only a matter of time… Sad, all the way around, especially for Adrienne and her family.

    9. Cole says:

The guy in the second photo from the top looks like a coke addict. (One of the signs of someone using cocaine heavily is that the skin around the eyes and the edge of the eyelids become bright pink or even red.)

    10. FlyingLeadChange says:

One angle I’m impressed with is that the parents and grandparents apparently turned their kids in or forced them to go to police. So many times there’s a “not taking my baby to jail” attitude.

    11. Fred says:

Sickening that one got off s a juvenile and is now free.
It would be nice if this person was registered as a sex offender or something, but knowing our legal system, this guy’s rights are way more important than those of any future victims…
He should be neutered at least – I am sure his idea of discipline will be way beyond what I dish out – (usually yelling, or I have embarrassed my daughter real bad – I once blew a loud and stinky fart when her & her boyfriend decided to get kissy kissy while I was driving…..

    12. Peach says:

Ugh…I remember this story. Words fail.

Wait…I do have something…. this Nathan kid got FIVE YEARS in juvey for dismembering a body???

And now that”thing” is out there somewhere?????

      • lEIfhgu says:

I’m pretty sure you dont know Nathan at all. He is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and he now has a family and has moved away from Illinois (im not going to say to where) to get away from it all.. He is a great guy and regrets every thing he did..

        • vcbecky says:

I’m sure he does. I’m sure he’ll regret what he will most likely do to you as well. Enjoy that dick while you’re still alive, darling. I sure hope it’s a good trade for your life.

Did I just read correctly? Some double- digit IQ scoring retard with no prospects in life let him near her wobblies long enough to make a “family?” Good fucking luck to THAT gene pool.
Oh, wonders will never cease. It’s sort of like watching the dumb bitches who hook up with men who beat their wives “just that one time, I swear”- and then bleat about how abusive and nasty he is years later.

        • brittney koeppen says:

      I’m just saying…..

    14. Jes says:

Wow..the scary thing is, that Nathan kid is probably the most dangerous one.. a serial killer in the making.

    15. lEIfhgu says:

I disagree and I think this is a very selfish and immature article, the title “people you will see in hell” is just unnecessary… You dont know Nathan… Nathan is an extremely close and good friend of mine and if you actually knew him I think you would change your mind. He is one of the nicest and caring people you will ever meet and if you knew the real story behind this you may think different. Sarah and Cory took Nathan to the middle of no where on Sarah’s grandfathers farm and forced him to dismember the body under threats of death.. Think about it, if you were in the middle of no where with to murderers forcing you to dismember the body or they would kill you, you pretty much have to do what they say or you will die. Nathan is a very good man and I wish you all could know how sorry he is.

      • Southern Lady says:

Wow. You are probably the most gullible person I’ve ever heard. You really believe that story he told you? That in itself is frightening.

        • lEIfhgu says:

Of course I believe him. He is one of my closest friends and is a very nice man. He was just under the influence of mixed drugs at the time he did this. Drugs fuck up live. Stay away from them.

          • Southern Lady says:

I am experienced with drugs from my youth. I’m no longer young and no longer do drugs, but I do remember. Not once have I ever wished to hurt someone. Not once. And not once have I ever wished to cut someone up into teeny tiny pieces. Sorry, but that’s a lousy excuse you’ve thrown out.

      • vcbecky says:

lElfhgu, if that is your real name, please look at the dot below this sentence -

        .

As you stare at it, please think of me slapping the unholy fuck out of you not only for being so gullible and in need of dick that you delude yourself into believing this fantasy, but for being so without pride that you would allow yourself to post anywhere in favor of this monster. You’re a Dean Koontz fan, aren’t you.

Just to clarify, I went to school with both Nathan and Cory before they went to Black Hawk. They were both”juaggalos” and very into death/gore. In fact in an interview Cory admitted that they got the idea to burn the body from an ICP song. I would never blame music for someone doing something effed up, but it is where they got the idea of how to dispose of her body. Cory was a huge stoner, but he always was nice to me. In between classes at Moline High School we would stop and chart almost on a daily basis. I was never in the same circles as him, we just had art in common, but he was always very friendly. Nate, however, was a creepy little bastard from the moment I met him. I will never, ever, ever defend what any of these nut jobs did, just wanted to clarify that before Cory met Sarah, he wasn’t a bad guy. I’m not saying he wasn’t capable of doing something horrible if he hadn’t met Sarah, just that I think it would’ve been more unlikely. Feel free to ask questions or rebuttals. I just found this site today and am more than open to a debate. Bible thumpers and incoherent people need not reply. Kthx.

he kills animals,im sure he has no problem cutting up a body.if you believe that your not to bright.

    16. Max The Cat says:

He may be sorry, but I don’t believe for a minute that he had to be forced to dispose of Adrianne’s dead body. Your boy pled guilty, and never once mentioned he was coerced into participating during his allecution in front of the judge.

I agree with Southern Lady – you’re very gullible. I bet you think you’re in love with Nathan. Well, at least he’s got a career as a butcher to look forward to.

      • lEIfhgu says:

He was forced but also under the influence of drugs so he agreed once they threatened him. If he wasnt on drugs he said he wouldve ran. But the drugs fucked up his life…

        • Max The Cat says:

Again, there was no mention of this at the time of the incident, and he never said he was threatened or coerced during his guilty plea. If there ever was a time to put all your cards on the table, this was the time.

If you can’t see that he’s lying to you, that’s fine – believe what you want, but don’t come on this website and expect any of us to buy into it. You may have some sick emotional attachment to Nathan Gaudet that causes you to believe every word that he utters, but to us his story is an insult to our intelligence.

        • Novalee says:

Well, even Manson had a girlfriend. I work with adults with mental illness and I’m sorry but I have never had a client that chopped up a body or hurt innocent animals. I think that anyone that (regardless of what drug they’re on) is capable of chopping up a dead human being has way more then a few mental problems…far beyond the help any psychiatrist can offer. Somebody that is capable of torturing and killing and innocent animal….need to be locked up for life. This guy did both. There is a strong link between people that hurt animals when they are children and people that end up being psychopaths in adulthood. I feel bad for any kid Nathan has….because another statistical fact is that perpetrators of animal abuse often are perpetrators of children abuse. It’s a damn shame this guy if out and freely walking among us.

        • brittney koeppen says:

    17. James says:

Well, Sarah definitely deserves hell for being the mastermind of this, and probably Nathan too since he’d grow up to be a homicidal maniac if he didn’t. Cory doesn’t, though–just a really, really severe punishment.

    18. Raider Fan says:

That god damn bitch Sarah Kolb, definitely deserves to burn in hell. As far as Nathan Gaudet goes, he hould have got way more than 5 years. Again, there was no mention of him being forced with death threats to cut up Adrienne’s body. Besides, Sarah said Nathan was into that kind of stuff anyway. Sarah had better be lucky that I don’t run this country or the world, because she would die the same exact way Adrienne did.

      • NavyCop says:

Blasphemy is a sin, too. Perhaps you should rethink your nym.

      • Jason says:

22There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

        Romans 3:22-3:24

It helps if you include the whole passage. You are no Nimrod. Your attempt to enslave men by lying to them should fail. You try to support an argument on sand, not on truth.

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.

        John 3:20-21
It really does help if you bother reading past the singe quote and on into the rest of the chapter. A murderer might find redemption if they reject darkness and stepped into the light, but it does not save their mortal body, it only protects their immortal soul. That’s not my business, that’s their business and God’s and if you wish to intercede, you haven’t been paying attention, because:

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

        John 6:24

The first two citations were NIV (though the last was King James. It just seems to have a little more impact at times like that).

If you were in an English class, your citations would be called “cherry picking.” They ignore the context and spirit as well as the essence of the message continued throughout the chapter. The Old Testament and the new Testament are first and foremost stories, explaining the life and time of Christ, his disciples, the prophets, and holy and unholy people. This site is not a bible school, is not even overtly Christian and were Christians to use the word Sheol instead of the Viking word, Hell, which is the name of the Goddess, daughter of Loki and a Giantess, then maybe you’d understand the word a little better.
Were you to read the About page, maybe you’d know that admin once worked in a High Security prison, with murderers and Rapists and that this is a true crime blog. If you bothered to read some of the other stories, you’d probably see that this is a place to heal. Sometimes you have to let the poison out of a wound to heal it. Murder is a wound of the body–specifically of the murdered and those who care for the murdered.
Many people come here and look into the eyes of a child, who was raped and murdered and we transfer the horror and anguish at their suffering into social action. Usually we just transfer it into angry words, but we communicate, rather than act out in the violence in our hearts.

A 16 year old child was killed here. I’m in my 30′s, I don’t see just any murdered victim, I see someone who could be my neighbor’s child. I see someone who could have been someone. I see someone I would have tried very hard to protect. That’s in my heart, and there’s nothing you or anyone else can say to stop it. That’s what I’m supposed to be.

I felt angry because I could do nothing. There are no super men, there’s nothing I could do to stop these murderers. There are people who can though. The people these people were afraid of. The people who these people burned, dismembered and buried a corpse for. These people were scared of the police. When one of them finally felt guilty enough to confess, it helped keep someone else from being murdered. It helped save someone else physically. That’s our job you see. God doesn’t need to send bears or columns of fire anymore, it’s out job to police ourselves, step into whatever light we can, and do what we must until we die.
You seem to be afraid of this duty for some reason. I call you a coward, because you miss-attribute the words to some perceived crime by us. You have a plank in your eye that prevents you from seeing what it is your brothers and sisters are doing, and you’re terrified to pull it out of the way and see what’s really going on here.

Wake up you wannabe Nimrod, your tower of words is falling down. Take a moment, sort yourself out and then beg for forgiveness. Not from us, but someone else you’ve maligned.

      • Max The Cat says:

I know these people very well, and I know your kind too – I’d much rather be one of them than one of you.

Hypocritical phony Christians like you speak with a forked tongue out of both sides of your face, preaching God’s love while all the time condemning those who refuse to “drink the Koolaid” and believe the crap you believe.

Jesus warned us about people like you – the false prophets – but you’re too stupid and too full of pride to realize He was talking about you.

If Jason hadn’t embarrassed you so badly with his replies to you, I would have deleted your posts as spam.

    21. thecreator says:

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”(bible romans10:9and10) So you who reads come to Me and ask my forgivness, and i will forgive you. Ask Me to clean your soul and your heart, and i will come into your soul and your heart, and i promise you will never be the same. Right there where you are…. come to Me, NO MATTER what you have done, NO MATTER Who you are….come to Me. My arms will be wide open. “FOR, EVERYONE WHO CALLS ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED” Romans chapter 10 verse 13

      • Jason says:

As the Scripture says, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” 12For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Where in that passage does it say there is no difference between murderer and anyone else? Sure, a murderer can call out, but it does not save them from mortal justice.

So you who reads come to Me and ask my forgivness, and i will forgive you. Ask Me to clean your soul and your heart, and i will come into your soul and your heart, and i promise you will never be the same. Right there where you are…. come to Me, NO MATTER what you have done, NO MATTER Who you are….come to Me. My arms will be wide open.

        You said this. 5:50AM

You need to read a bit more in the chapter, or a bit more about where this “scripture” is from. Remember the author of these words.

By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

        Matthew 7:16

Paul wrote Romans in 56 or 57 AD, Luke was probably written in 75 AD, since he practically cites Mark. Matthew is 80 to 90 AD. But you’re ignoring the primary source and further treading on the secondary sources by failing to read the whole chapter of anything you cite. IT’S IN THE WAY YOU PARSE the text THAT IS IRRITATING and WRONG!

You’re building a Tower of Babel for yourself, and it will cost you.

        • Cleo says:

Jason, you rock! I once had an ex-Jesuit Priest as a religious studies professor and his only comment on one of my essays was “WRONG!” I wasn’t much enlightened by that critique. Thank you for elucidating not just for this “thecreator” dude but for us all.

There’s a whole lot of cherry picking and parsing going on these days when it comes to the bible, and this yahoo is not the only culprit. Unhappily there are plenty of believers who choose to swallow these simplified/skewed versions of the bible instead of either applying critical thinking or actually reading it in its entirety for themselves.

I’m no former Jesuit, I wrestle with my faith and I read to know, not merely to argue. There are a lot of spinning tops out there, who’ve been spun around and around some plagiarism of St. Augustine or Calvin, but I look around and I see no one elect. I see no special creedence applied to the false promise or the false reading.

I just work at it all.

Just want to say that to me you are all just strangers and I’m a stranger to you and maybe we will never meet eachother or see eachother in person, but there’s something that I have to say to you. Every day I may walk by just another stranger and maybe say “hi” or not, and to be sincere with you I trust no one because I know there’s a lot of people with bad intentions out there people such as in this site that can be capable of all this crazy things but in my own opinion I believe we all are capable of destuction but we decide weather or not to do .

What I think you’re trying to say is that the world is a dark place, filled with strangers you don’t trust, who are capable of evil, but who choose not to do evil. Your word choice thought did have me wondering if you were granting me the power to “decide weather,” and I wondered if I need to get someone to make me a super villain costume.

But I apologize I’m going to get to my point, don’t know exactly how to describe it to you but I am so glad to know and that we know. That to god we are not just a stranger that to him we are all very important, listen I don’t care if you even post this but I want you to know that one day I used to feel so sad an lonely like I didn’t matter to no one and I thought of suicide, but thank god through jesus Christ I came to know this love not Just any love like the one we find in this world, one minute is there the next its gone but pure true unfailling love. It would be selfish of me not to share that with anyone. I was living chaned in my sinns but only he had the power to break them and free me.
The word “hell” is just a word and its not taken seriously by anyone but I have read about this place in gods word and its an eye opener and kind of scary at first to know that its real. You think about it and want to ignore it or think that maybe it really isn’t true but god has reasured me it is.
Ever since I came to know this beatifull loving god I look ip to him and he makes me want to love the best I can, of course nt as perffect as Him but he is working on me. I going yo end by saying this ” I love u stranger because Jesus loves you”, and may God touch ur heart through this
And my prayer is that you will think for a minute about how valuable ur soul is and that u desire to seek the only one who can save it (jesus) and come to meet the one love that I was missing in my life and now know.
