Correctional Officers are an interesting bunch.
I’ve been working in the field for several years now, dealing with people on a daily basis that most would refer to as “scum.”
Some of these people are friendly. Others are not. Some are accused of doing horrible things. Some are charged with lesser crimes.
When I see most of these people, the thought is always in the back of my mind – “I am glad this person is in here, and not out in society among potential victims.”
Some people will never be ‘correctable,’ no matter how much therapy they go through, no matter how many apologies they offer.
They are the people you would probably see in Hell.
