Amanda Taylor, 32, from Leighton Alabama was a beautiful, outgoing,loving mother to three children. She was a wonderful daughter/sister/aunt/cousin/and friend to many great people.

On October 17,2011 Mr. Lee, Amanda’s boyfriend picked her up from work but since he had to run errands he dropped Amanda off at Ron Weems’s home to use his computer. Ron and Amanda had known each other for years being as how Ron was once married to her sister and they had two children together.Because of this I’m pretty sure Amanda felt as though she could trust Ron. At around 3pm Mr. Lee returned to the Moss Avenue home to pick Amanda up, instead he saw Ashley Greenhill and Laquania Weems, Ron’s mother sitting on the porch. Ashley came out swinging a hatchet and told Mr. Lee that Amanda had assaulted Ron and then ran off and wasn’t welcome back. Being fearful for his life, Mr. Lee left.

Laurell Pruett, Ron’s current girlfriend, showed up to the home and Ron immediately pulled her inside the bathroom. Sweating, out of breath and without a shirt on Ron confessed he had just killed Amanda. So Laurell decided they should file a police report stating that Amanda Taylor had assaulted Ron, in order to cover their tracks. After all Ron had scratches on his arms and wrists. Little did the police know that those were wounds of a young woman fighting for her life and that her lifeless body was only miles away in the basement of Ron’s mother’s home. The law, as of now, states you can’t file a missing person report for an adult until after they’ve been missing for 48 hours. So on October 19,2001 Brandy Leeth reported her sister missing.

The local newspaper did one article about the missing young mother. The news didn’t even air it on television until Amanda’s father, Mr. Leeth, sent them an e-mail asking them to broadcast his missing daughter’s case. This man has even started a Facebook page asking for leads, making fliers and giving his phone number out in case people didn’t want to speak to investigators. This is a very strong man. He had absolutely no help from the media yet he still wouldn’t give up. In fact, Ron contacted him and told him that she was seen Amanda with a man in a nearby town knowing all along where she was. Mr. Leeth still hasn’t gave up. He is even trying to help other families who find themselves in the same situation he was in. That to me let’s me know that no matter what the tragedy is if you want you can turn it in to something positive.

On November 7, 2011 Ashley Greenhill, the hatchet swinging stripper, went to the police station and told detectives she had overheard Ron telling Laurell “not to worry they’ll never find her body and if they do it will be already decayed.” Ashley said she was afraid of Weems and moved out of his home. Don’t give Ashley too much credit yet though.

This story has some crazy twists maybe it’s time to explain them now. After Ron and his ex-wife divorced he started dating Laurell Pruett, from Huntsville Alabama who already had two children. Both were disabled and neither were in Laurell’s care but instead in the care of the department of human resources. Ron and Laurell started dating but described it as an open relationship. Shortly thereafter, Laurell got pregnant by Ron but that didn’t slow them down any. Instead they decided to bring another woman into their relationship, for the both of them. Evidently Ron is not just a gigalo but he’s also fertile-Myrtle because this other “lady” also got pregnant. She was a lot smarter than Laurell though….she got away. Just before she gave birth to their triplets. At the time the time the crime was committed Laurell and Ron were still together but Laurell was living else where and had a girlfriend whom she called “wifey.” Their daughter was living with Ron and his mother.

Ashley Greenhill of Florence, Alabama is a mother of two and already has a long rap sheet. Back in 2008, Ashley’s 2 year old son,who lived with her parents, came to visit with her but when she took him back the next day her parents noticed the child has bite marks all over his body and scratches to his back and extremities. Her parents immediately went to the police and she was arrested for felony child abuse since she was already out on bond for burglary,theft of property, criminal mischief, and receiving stolen property her bond was revoked. She took a plea deal and went to drug rehab. Thank goodness her parents were smart enough to go to the police then to take up for her.

I should also tell you all that Ron, Laurell, Ashley, Fox and many many more(you’ll see when the supporters show up) have formed a clown gang. Yes that’s right a clown gang. They call themselves the Juggalos(men members) and juggalettes(female members) they get together, paint their faces like clowns, carry hatchets, and listen to a band called ICP. Let me just say….I do not think in any way what so ever that them listening to ICP had anything to do with this murder. It’s just a part of the story that I must entail. In the fall 2011 Ashley began living with Ron, Laquania, and Laurell and Ron’s child at the Moss avenue home. Although Laurell and Ashley were friends they shared the same man, sexually. Matthew Fox, 21, Florence, didn’t know any of the people involved except for Ashley and I bet he wish hadn’t had met her or any of the others now.

A few days after Ashley met with detectives to tell them about Laurell and Ron’s conversation she met with them once again. She told detectives that Ron said “he dropped her on a road with tall grass on each side of the road near Leighton Alabama.” After driving around for a little bit Ashley told them to stop at Gnatt Pond Road in Muscle Shoals Alabama. While detectives closely watched, Ashley went into some brush and came out and told detectives it looked as if something had been drug through there but she didn’t see anything.

Police returned to the same spot this time without Ashley and they went to the same spot she had. This time they found hair and immediately called in the cadaver dogs. Now let me just tell you all that here in North Alabama we have 100,000s of acres of pasture,fields, and woods. Just about everywhere you look is exactly what Ron Weems had explained. How in the world could she just go to the exact spot unless, of course, she hadn’t already been there?

The next day on 12-3-11 the police and cadaver dogs went to Gnatt pond where they found Amanda’s skull, and several bones, some broken, some cut. They then searched the Moss Avenue resident and found Amanda’s blood on the wall and floor in the basement. The next day, Stacy Young contacted the police and told them that Ron and Laurell had set some stuff on fire in her yard the day after Amanda came up missing. When police searched the fire pit they found Amanda’s necklace, 4 earrings, some clothing and other items.

Laurell was the first of the suspects to be interviewed and she sang like a bird. She admitted that they had burned the stuff. She said it was a pair of pants, 2 shirts, a plastic bag of articles, and a plastic ice cream bucket. Pruett also said that after they had filed the assault report on Amanda that they had went back to the house where she saw Amanda’s body laying face up, her pants and panties were removed, she was purple and had a ligature mark around her neck, the nylon strap was lying next to her.

At around 10:30-11pm Fox and Ashley showed up to help their fellow clown fans. Fox made the suggestion that Ron cut off Amanda’s fingers and toes to conceal her identity. Weems got a kitchen knife and started cutting her fingers and toes off, he would drop each one in the plastic ice cream bucket. I guess it was just too much for Ashley and Laurell because they went upstairs to smoke some weed and take Valiums. Also let me tell you both Laquania and Laurell’s daughter were there at the time. How could Laquania Weems not know what was going on in her own home? At approximately 1am Fox helped Weems load Amanda’s body into Ron’s Honda Accord. Then Fox went home. Ron left and about 2 hours later he returned to the house and told Laurell that he had disposed of her body near Leighton and busted her teeth out a hammer. They then went to bed. How oh how does someone go to sleep after all of that?

Since Laurell testified Ron admitted to it as well except he said Amanda tried to hit him with a concrete block so he just killed her in self defense. Yeah right!! Because of the confessions all three were arrested(police report). Ron and Fox were charged with murder and abuse of a corpse, Fox also got hindering prosecution. Laurell was charged with murder and hindering prosecution. They are all still in jail on $500,000 bond. The reason they say they murdered her was for a child support check she supposedly stole…Laurell received it in the mail on October 19,2011. And of course when the defense have nothing else they always say they have some kind of mental illness. This case is no different they said Ron was bi-polar and that played a major role in the crime.

So what is Ashley being charged with? Nothing, Nadda, Zip….yet anyways. I totally understand that they wouldn’t have found her when they did without Ashley’s help but that should give her a “get out of jail for murder card” In fact Fox would’ve never met Ron or Laurell had it not been for Ashley. Mr. Lee was lied to and threatened by none other that Ashley Greenhill. I just hope she gets charged just as harsh as the others. Personally I believe Ashley, Ron,Laurell, Fox, and Laquania all deserve to be charged. Laquania should be charged with hindering prosecution if nothing else.

Now I’m asking everyone to please, please sign this petition for the Amanda Alert. It would allow people to report their adult loved one missing as soon as you realize they are missing. Although, I realize this probably wouldn’t have saved Amanda’s life it might would have sent the police to Ron’s home while the body was still in the basement and the family wouldn’t have had to live in agony for almost two months.

Please help Mr. Leeth pass this law, remember it could be you, your family member or friend. Thanks in advance,my dear friends.

There’s been a brief hiatus while we sort through things and help Max and Admin get back into the swing of things. 

To that end, Cleo and I,  and I’m hoping a few others are going to jump in and become contributors. 

We hope we’ll be able to pick back up where we left off and get some of the old and new readers and writers activated and involved.

That all aside, Cleo has a baker’s dozen of stories we’ll be working through over the next few weeks and I have a couple, any requests?

Our server has handled the extra load like a champ, but the incredible number of comments has given our WordPress software fits. Nowhere was this more apparent than in ‘Diane Schuler: An Interesting Perspective’, written by our good friend Fuzzy Wuzzy. The total number of comment reached, and then exceeded, 700 by the third day after the HBO Documentary premiered – The most comments a story has ever received on our site, outpacing it’s nearest rival by at least 200 comments.

Apparently, and this is just a guess on my part, since I haven’t been able to verify what I found with anyone else, either the number of comments or the rapidity at which they were made caused some kind of Database error, and the story crashed. I was able to get it back up for short periods of time be deleting a few dozen new posts, but that solution was neither practical nor fair to those people who had their comments removed.

I tried creating a new copy of the story, but it was a no go for reasons I have yet to understand. Finally I came up with this solution, for people who still want to read Fuzzy Wuzzy’s story and comment on it. I created a Microsoft Word clone of the story and uploaded it to my DropBox. Now anyone who wishes to can download the story from the following hyperlink, read it, and leave whatever comments they have here.

This afternoon I received an email from a person who calls herself Tawnya Clouston. Ms. Clouston is much different from the usual malcontent unhappy about something that was said in an article, or in the article as a whole. She is well spoken, polite, and – I swear I had to check three times to make sure I wasn’t seeing things – she never insulted the website, the author of the story or myself. That doesn’t mean she isn’t seriously misinformed about what we do here at PYSIH, among other things.

Her complaint has to do with our story on Daniel Petric, the then 16-year-old son of Pastor Mark Petric and his late wife, Sue Petric. The fact that Mrs. Petric is no longer with us should give you a hint about what kind of young man Danny Petric is, but I suggest you read admin’s tale of his crime before you continue with this article. I just wanted to politely request something from your website that concerns the Petric Family. My sister-in-law, Christi Howes, formerly known as Christi Clouston, was a youth pastor at the Assemble of God church in Wellington, Ohio and mentored Danny Petric. She was, and still is, close to the Petric Family. I would like to kindly request that you remove this poll from your website. If any member of the Petric Family saw this, they would be completely devastated. Pastor Petric has found forgivness for his son. The Petric Family is still, and always will be, mourning the loss of a wife, mother, and friend. I am not asking that this be romoved on Danny’s behalf, but on the behalf of the rest of the Petric Family. They have been through enough. Out of respect for them, could you please remove this? I have personally seen the pain these people face every day, and if and when they ever catch wind of this, it will just hurt them worse, if that is even possible. Tawnya sure knows how to tug on those heartstrings, doesn’t she? Unfortunately, she has made the common mistake of believing that our poll is a vote on whether the person in question deserves to go to Biblical Hell. She failed to see, and this is especially true for people who are very religious, the symbolism of our poll as a measurement of the evilness of the criminal’s acts.

In other words, did we believe that Danny Petric just “made a mistake” when he shot his mother – the woman who brought him into this world and gave him life – square in the face because she and his father took away his copy of the video game Halo 3, or did we believe it was an act of pure evil?

I was ready to turn her down flat, when I had a moment of divine inspiration. Why not set up some sort of system where you, our faithful readers, could register your opinion, yes or no, in a way that could be counted and displayed for everyone to see.

Wait a minute, that sounds just like a poll! And I can create polls – I do it all the time.

Anyway, that’s what we’re gonna do. You guys will have two weeks to vote on whether I remove the Daniel Petric story or leave it up on the site. This is a historic moment at PYSIH – the inmates will be running the asylum, so to speak. I’m looking forward to your comments.

I took this opportunity to upgrade my operating system from a 32 bit Windows XP setup to a 64 bit Windows 7 setup. I had my old system backed up on an external hard drive, and all my passwords backed up off site, so I lost very little. Unfortunately, I wasn’t very diligent about updating my backup, so I lost whatever stories that were emailed to me recently and haven’t been published yet, and the email addresses of our newer writers.

Take the family of 26-year-old Jon Phillips and his 22-year-old common-law wife Sarah Berry, for instance. At best, they could be described as incompetent parents. At worst…

Evil.

Jon Phillips was the guardian of 7-year-old Chandler Grafner. Chandler was given into “Daddy Jon’s” custody after Chandler’s mother (Christina Grafner) was arrested during a traffic stop on the 26th of March, 2007, for possessing drug paraphernalia. During that traffic stop, Chandler’s mom, who used to be in a relationship with Jon Phillips, had her sons in the back seat. According to the officer who made the arrest, both boys looked very thin and complained of being hungry. In the officer’s report, he wrote that the boys had told him they hadn’t eaten in three days.

Chandler was eventually starved to death by Jon Phillips and Sarah Berry. We did a story about these two monsters, and of course, they got slammed in the comments section, but many people were also critical of Colorado DHS, for placing him with Phillips and Berry, and Christina Grafner, for losing custody of the boy due to her addiction to crack.

It didn’t help Christina when she and the biological father of Chandler, Joshua Norris filed a lawsuit against Colorado DHS over Chandler’s death. It seemed to many of us that she was trying to profit for her son’s death, in spite of the fact that she was partially responsible for it herself. At the least, it was not the actions of a mother who realized her part in this tragedy.

I guess this didn’t sit well with the family (the truth never does), especially our friend Carrie. She made this comment in the “Hate Mail” section, but for some reason it was flagged and I can’t seem to approve it. I guess the software even objects to this lady’s line of thinking.

Anyways, you know me. I can’t resist a chance to edumacate a person who is so full of themselves they can’t see the truth if it hit them between the eyes. So I decided to present a modified version of “We Get Email” for your reading and commenting pleasure.

The Unfortunate Proliferation of The Pusilanimous In A Society Where Members of This Site Are Free To Spawn

I am beginning a campaign to have Christina Grafner removed from this website and have begun working in tandom with a civil lawyer who is combing this site for libelouus remarks that will build a healthy case against the creators and members who have slnadered Tina with the witless unflappability of the totally ignorant.

Tina chose poorly and wrongly. What she has to live with everyday is beyond imagination, and I have been ringside to witness the majority of it. I used to sit the boys when Tina was working 12 hour nights to eek out a living on her own. She got caught up in drugs and her choices became the choices that end with a mother violated by the horrific recriminations of wrong choices that put her children in the hands of the Arapohoe CPS wiz kids who placed them with John and Sarah than ignored a report from Chandler’s teacher she saw signs of abuse.

I was at Chandler’s funeral, where we got id’ed to insure ghouls like yourselves and John’s parents and your media informants couldn’t record it for web posterity. He was 25 pounds when he was finally tortured to death. My son weighs 25 pounds at 14 months. Chandler was 7. Nicky was 5.

Incidentally, Tina has been sober three years and has full custody of her children- with no probationary rules. She and the kids have four weekly therapy sessions and a normal life. Her new daughter looks just like CChandler, which none of you would know, because you haven’t seen him alive or dead- unless you are members of sicker websites than this- like John and Sarah’s fan site.

So, according to you, you and the family (who we have the utmost respect for) have the market cornered on grief and anger over Chandler’s death? Has it ever entered that narrow little mind of yours that our hearts also bleed for that little boy who starved to death in a tiny closet smeared with his own shit?

Translation: From the bottom of my heart; Kiss my ass, you silly, silly girl. Kiss it! Smooch, smooch, sah-mooch!

For openers, they’ll be serving baccalà salad and spaghetti with baccalà tomato sauce. For you unfortunate, non-Italian folks out there, baccalà is really just dried, salted cod fish fillets, soaked in cold water for several days to remove the excess salt, and boiled until tender. To make it into a salad, you would mix it with black and green olives, garlic, oregano, basil, roasted red peppers, salt, pepper, olive oil and some parsley (I’m sure I left out some spices, but you get the general idea, right?).

Then we ‘ll get down to business; Ravioli with meat sauce, followed by a very large, very rare, beef rib roast. And if we survive that – cheesecake! Yes, it’s not exactly the cardiac diet, but for one day out of the year, tradition is everything.

As I sat and thought, I also considered my Christmas message for all of you, my friends at People You’ll See In Hell. This is my third Christmas as editor here, and I’ve become aware of something in the last few days that I’ve never noticed here before.

Maybe it’s just me, but I believe that there’s been a marked change in the attitude of all of us here at PYSIH. Not in our reaction to the offenders that we write and comment about about, but a change in the way we treat each other. It seems to me that there has been a huge increase in the amount of mutual respect and genuine affection for each other.

One thing has been very obvious to me from the very beginning here at PYSIH. We are all VERY different people. Conservative, liberal, aggressive, compassionate, gay, straight, serious, disrespectful – you name it, we’ve got it - but when one of us is in pain, we are always there for each other.

Just like a family.

It’s been funny, watching people who people who had just fought tooth and virtual nail over some comment one of them made that the other took offense to, or some issue that the two disagree on, suddenly exchanging cyber-hugs and kisses a few short days later.

I myself was trading some pretty nasty insults with Damn! a few days ago, and today he is offering to translate articles from Italian Newspapers on the Amanda Knox story for me. What started our feud? Honestly, I don’t remember, but knowing my ability to aggravate people, I’m sure most of the fault lies with me.

It hasn’t always been like this. In the past, one party or the other would disappear from the tracker, never to be seen again. Now we’re learning to live with each other’s foibles and idiosyncrasies.

We’re becoming a true online community. Pretty surprising, considering PYSIH is just a crime blog, not much different than any other crime blog.

Perhaps I’m just an incurable romantic on the subject of this website, but my recent awareness about this website has been the Christmas present I never expect and never could have hoped for. I’ve always wanted to be a part of creating something unique and genuine, and together all of us have done just that.

Buddhists in Thailand believe in a concept called making merit. Basically, it mean that a person performs good deeds in order to build up something similar to good Karma, in order to counteract bad Karma from this life, or carried over from a previous life, so that when that person dies, he or she doesn’t reincarnate as a dung beetle or a duck-billed platypus.

That’s always been part of my motivation for volunteering to run this website, and why I always try to give my best effort no matter how little recognition I get for it. I built up a whole lot of bad Karma during my many years as a junkie, and I neither wish to go to hell, nor do I want to saddle the next poor sap who gets reincarnated as me with my bad Karma.

And today, for the first time, because of all you beautiful people with your quirks, foibles, oddities and good will, I finally feel like I’m making progress.

I want to wish each and every one of you a very merry Christmas, and to express my wish that all of you survive the holiday safe and sound.

Whether we are expressing our outrage at another child raped and murdered by its parents, or slapping down some fool who thought it was OK to attack to character of a victim in order to make a case for the innocence of that fool’s loved one, PYSIH is and always will be dedicated to justice for everyone.

Today’s email comes from Sam. It seems Sam has taken exception with the level of maturity at PYSIH, among other things. Understandable, perhaps, but it was where he took this exception and how he took it there that separated his email from the normal correspondence I get every day.

His claims of special insight, and the logic he used to get from point A to point B in his mind were quite amusing. Sam isn’t your average troll – he is touched by an angel, or just plain touched. I’m not sure which.

I’ve been judged by people before, and I didn’t like it, but somehow Sam didn’t offend me at all. See if you can figure out why.

Well Sam, thank you so much for pointing out the flaws in our character. Speaking for myself, I have to admit that you’re absolutely right, I had no idea what an immature son of a bitch I really was. I’m just thankful that a person of your talent and good judgment came along and straightened me out.

For instance, I always thought that the reason I ran this website, and the reason we all wrote these stories, was to document in as much detail as possible the torment and pain that victims of violent crime and their families suffer, so other people won’t forget them and what they went through. Many times we found friends and family members of the perpetrator making insulting comments about the victim’s character in an attempt to shift blame from their loved one and it became our duty to defend any attacks on the victims and their family. Without your judgment, we would have never known how childish we were behaving.

We always thought we were motivated by compassion for the victims, especially the little children who were raped and molested by pedophiles every day, or starved to death by mommy and daddy for no reason at all. Little did we know that it was really the, how did you put it, oh yes, the same bloodthirst as the murderers we wrote about. We thought we were doing good here by publicizing how children are abused and murdered, because making people aware of these things is one of the best ways to prevent it from happening again. It must have been our “illusioned” thinking that convinced us of that.

We’re terrible sorry that we offended you personally, because you are obviously favored by the gods. I’m trying my best to accept responsibility for my evils, but my evils are at “that” age and want to be responsible for themselves – teenagers, you know what I mean?

We are going to do our best to change our wicked ways, but until we do, please bear with us. It’s just that all the pedophile, rapists, child molesters, murderers, woman beaters and baby killers out there make us want to sin over and over again. Every time I hear about another infant raped to death, my evil forces me to want to do something about it. And my evil is tricky, because it makes it feel like compassion when I do it.

I can see this is going to be harder than I first thought. I guess as long as my evil continues to force me to do good, I’m never going to change. I hope you can forgive my imperfections…
