Mr. Shadle killed Jessica Aaron, a sophomore at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a crime which he was sentenced to life in prison for.

Mr. Shadle told police that he did not kill Aaron, his high-school sweetheart. According to Mr. Shadle, Ms. Aaron fell, hit her head,and died there on the spot. He, being the good samaritan that he is, grabbed her around the neck and shook her in a valiant attempt to keep her awake.

I seem to recall that’s what the Red Cross training taught me in high school.

Abducted and killed a 6-month-old baby. Put the baby into a plastic bag and dumped him into a culvert.

A man has been convicted of abducting and killing a six-month-old boy in the West Midlands and dumping his body. Sherwain McCoy Smith, 21, of no fixed address, was cleared of murdering Troy Simpson, but was found guilty of his manslaughter at Birmingham Crown Court.

The child’s body was found by police inside a plastic bag in a culvert near a brook, a day after he was reported missing in Smethwick last February.

Smith was remanded in custody to be sentenced in London after Easter.

The defendant – the boyfriend of Troy’s mother – had denied any involvement, claiming he had not left his flat on the night Troy disappeared.

Each woman that does this kind of thing makes it harder for true victims to get the help they need.

41-year-old Nicola Alison May made false claims to the police that she had been raped in her house by a man claiming to be a police officer.

Her motive?

After she had an affair cut off by a married lover, she felt she needed to get his attention somehow.

She evidently put some forethought and organization into the false claim.

Authorities claim that she prepared by cutting her telephone line, pulling clumps of her own hair out, rubbing her knees against the carpet until they were bleeding and scratching her own buttocks.
