Stacey Joy Bourdeaux of Calgary, Alberta is one such hellbeast. She hid for years behind the mantle of mother and wife. She was married to Ted Fewer and had a little girl and a lovely baby boy, Sean Ronald Fewer. On December 27, 2004, little Sean was found in his crib, dead. He’d just had his first and only Christmas.

Stacey told police she had put Sean down for a nap, returned about an hour later and found him not breathing.

The medical examiner ruled 10-month-old Sean’s death as a case of sudden infant death syndrome. Poor Ted and Stacey, who were expecting another son in a few months. They had to carry on in their grief and prepare for the next child.

Well, poor Ted anyway. What he did not know is that Sean’s death was not SIDS-related, not accidental, but murder. Stacey never told him and he never knew. Stacey wrote in her private journal all about it 6 years later, shortly after Ted’s accidental death by electrocution.

“That night that (Sean) left us,” she wrote to her deceased husband, “it wasn’t actually while he was sleeping. Due to me being very sick at the time, I did what I didn’t want to do. The crying wouldn’t stop, so I ended up putting a pillow over his face and made sure that it was stopping his breathing… I knew that I couldn’t handle three kids, more or less on my own.”

And that makes it all right, to smother the baby? In her perverted mind it did.

So Sean had been dispensed with, disposed of like a used tissue. He was inconvenient, a burden, and he cried. The poor little guy whose only real crime was to be born to that selfish hellbeast, Stacey Joy Bourdeaux.

And Stacey Joy Bourdeaux had gotten away with murder. That is until she tried it again.

Her second victim was her second son.

Stacey Joy Bourdeaux found herself widowed suddenly in 2010 at age 33. It was a traumatic time for the little family, no doubt. But then her 5-year-old boy, in the midst of a temper tantrum on May 24, told his mom that he wished she had been the one to die instead of his dad.

That is so totally NOT the thing to say to a hellbeast.

Stacey Joy Bourdeaux hauled her boy upstairs in a rage. Her daughter, who stayed downstairs, heard him crying sporadically. Mom and son were upstairs for hours.

Those hours were spent by the murderous mom trying to kill the little guy. The beast tried suffocating him. She put her hand over his face, and then wrapped a pillowcase around his neck. His heart stopped a couple of times, but he kept reviving. Stacey Joy Boudreaux finally stopped her murderous assault.

I cannot imagine what it was like for that little boy to have his own mother strangling the life out of him and reviving him hour after hour, his brain and lungs shrieking for oxygen.

All solicitous and mothering after trying to kill her son, Stacey gave him Tylenol and cleaned him up after he threw up, urinated and defecated. No harm, no foul, right?

That evening a woman stopped by to offer her condolences about Ted Fewer’s death and learned from the little girl that her brother was sick and turning blue. Alarmed, the woman asked Stacey if he needed to go to hospital, but was told no.

The next day the boy was shaking uncontrollably, couldn’t feed himself, and couldn’t control his bladder and bowels. He was also falling over.

Stacey wrote in her journal, “I was trying to send him to you. And if I lose him now I am going to feel really bad, cause it would be my fault. I can say he’s very tough and a fighter.”

She continued, “I do feel bad about doing what I did. I’m just not sure why. It was the same with Sean too. To this day I still feel the guilt of losing Sean too.”

It sounds for all the world that she’s not sure why she feels bad about what she did. Un-friggin-believable.

Anyway, it wasn’t until three days later that Stacey Joy Bourdeaux asked a neighbour to drive them all to hospital. On the way she explained to the neighbour that she had tried suffocating the boy. He called police immediately after their arrival at Alberta Children’s Hospital.

Stacey Joy Bourdeaux’s son lived, but the damage was devastating. A once healthy child, he cannot speak any more, he has lost motor control and he now suffers from seizures. Both he and his sister were made permanent wards of the province. God bless them.

The police uncovered Stacey’s journals in their investigation, and Sean’s murder finally came to light. The hellbeast was arrested and charged with attempted murder and 2nd degree murder.

Stacey Joy Bourdeaux pleaded guilty to manslaughter, attempted murder and failing to provide the necessities of life. She is expected to return to court very soon following the completion of a pre-sentence and psychological risk assessment. (I’ll keep you readers posted when I hear of developments.)

Her earlier psychiatric assessment found she had NOT been suffering any disturbance of the mind when she had murdered Sean.

Not a disturbance of the mind, just a complete lack of a soul.

Long may you rot, Stacey Joy Bourdeaux. And may the judge sentence you to an eternity in prison.

About seven years ago, Lori Gardner gave birth to a baby boy. She kept it.

Somewhere along the line, Lori hooked up with Brian. And somewhere along the line, they moved into a little house together. And somewhere along the line, they decided it would be fun to go ahead and destroy Lori’s child mentally.

On the 26th of September, that little boy was put, for the final time, into a coffin in the basement of the house that Lori Gardner and Brian Sleboda were living in. This was, surprisingly, not unusual.

This activity was not unusual because Brian and Lori thought that it was entertaining to regularly put the 7-year-old into a coffin in the basement. The basement in the bottom of a house that was in such bad condition that it had been condemned.

According to Mark Seitzinger, Scranton city director of licensing, inspections and permits, the home Lori, Brian and the child was living in was condemned on the 3rd of October. According to inspectors, it was deemed unsafe for human habitation after they found the residence infested with bugs, noticed that it had electrical issues, and came across evidence of a fire that had been burning inside the building at one point.

So you can imagine how the basement looked, smelled and felt to a 7-year-old who was regularly put into a coffin by the people who would normally be expected to protect, care for and love that child.

Brian Sleboda, at some point, had the good idea of putting a diaper on the boy while the child was in the coffin. Presumably because if you’re going to keep a kid in a coffin for long periods of time, you don’t want the kid to make a mess.

And then Brian had an even better idea! Hey, let’s duct-tape the coffin shut so the kid can’t get out!

And, of course, Lori Gardner and Brian Sleboda thought it would be fun to tell the boy that ghosts lived in the basement. And, of course, they took it upon themselves to rattle a heavy chain around in the basement while the kid was trapped in this coffin, screaming and crying for someone, anyone, to help him.

Well, on the 26th of September, Brian and Lori put the kid into the coffin for safekeeping. Fortunately for the child, Brian took the lazy way out this time and only put a chair on top of the coffin.

After a good amount of pushing and kicking, the 7-year-old was able to get the chair off the coffin and get out. The door was locked and the basement was dark, so – as a child should in that situation, the boy yelled for help.

A neighbor heard the cries and called the police.

When the police showed up and investigated they found the child in a diaper, crying. His first words?

Are you here to help me?

Lori arrived at her house while the police were there. They wanted to talk with her a bit.

So what did Lori Gardner have to say about the whole thing? Well, she explained that she and Brian did, in fact, use the coffin for punishment. She admitted that they had, in fact, duct taped the boy’s arms and hands at times. She told the officers that, hey, the door wasn’t locked, so it wasn’t really cruel.

When the police notified her that the door they had found the child behind was, indeed, locked…she didn’t have much to say at that point.

After some more investigating and some interviews done with the child by experts, it was decided by the authorities that there was enough evidence for Lori Gardner and Brian Sleboda to be charged.

On the 4th of October, 2011, Lori Gardner and Brian Sleboda were charged with felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child and unlawful restraint. Bail was set at $60,000.

The 7-year-old boy is now being taken care of by local Children and Youth Services

Kathleen “Kassie” Black is typical of the denizens in the poverty-plagued east-side neighborhoods of Erie, Pennsylvania. The ills of society are part and parcel of her life. Like many in Kassie Black’s socio-economic group, 28-year-old Kassie loves to party and have a good time. As a result, Kassie has had several serious relationships and several children. For the past few years, she has been with 34-year-old Joseph “Joe” Neimeic and the two had planned to have a summer wedding on August 21st, 2010, to celebrate their life together.

Unfortunately, due to Kassie’s lifestyle and the risks posed by her choices in life, Kassie had lost custody of all but two of her children to the Office of Children and Youth (OCY) in Pennsylvania. In order to sidestep OCY’s standing order to remove all future children from the custody and care of Kassie Black, she gave birth to both Joseph Anthony Neimeic Jr. and Elizabeth Karen Neimeic out of state in Maryland, the state in which her parents reside. Joe Neimeic is the main custodial parent, so OCY did not had any case files on these two children.

Kassie gave birth to Elizabeth Karen “Bitty” Neimeic on February 22, 2008. The family called her “Bitty” as they used to say, “Little Bitty, she’s so pretty.” The little girl used to squeal and giggle at the rhyme and run through the house, dragging an old belt along like a security blanket, the “toy” clanging and banging on the floor and walls as she sped through the home.

On July 31, 2010, Kassie Black and Joe Neimeic put their little girl, two-and-a-half year old Elizabeth Karen Neimeic to bed. It was around 10:30 p.m. on a Saturday night. Joe had to get up early in the morning to go to work. Joe was supposed to look in on Elizabeth before heading off to work, but, for whatever reason, he didn’t. Joe left the house around 6:00 a.m. and if he had looked in Elizabeth’s bedroom, he would have noticed Elizabeth was gone.

Given the details of what actually happened to Elizabeth, Joe’s early morning discovery would not have changed anything at all. Unfortunately, by the time Joe Neimeic left the family home at 1342 W. 11th Street, little Bitty was already long dead.

When Kassie got up, she told her son, four-year-old Joe Jr., to let his sister Elizabeth out of her room. Elizabeth had to be “let” out of her room due to the fact that the doorknob was broken and could not be opened from the inside.

Little Joe came back and told Kassie that Sissy wasn’t in her bed and wasn’t in the room.

For a parent, this must be the moment your brain splits in two – one part says, of course she’s there, don’t be silly – the other part just dives into your stomach and flips over. Once Kassie ransacked Elizabeth’s bedroom looking for her, Kassie went into shock.

Kassie sat on Elizabeth’s bed, called a friend and wondered what she should do. Something like this was so far out of Kassie’s realm of coping that it should surprise no one that she reacted this way. The human brain can just shut down when trying to process situations involving the unthinkable.

The police were called and the Amber Alert went out. Elizabeth’s description, along with the clothes she had been wearing (silky purple top and diaper) were forwarded to all local law enforcement and missing children agencies. Networks dealing with missing children immediately posted her case and the police worked at processing the home for clues and evidence.

The back bedroom window had been left open on the top sash, but it was now discovered pushed up open from the bottom. Dusting the interior and exterior of the window revealed fingerprints and hand prints which, when processed through the national database, were revealed as belonging to one Aaron Lee Noyer, sometime robber, full-time thug.

Born June 4, 1988, Aaron Lee Noyer was one of eleven children born to Steven P. Black and Debbie Lynn Noyer-Black. Noyer’s mother passed away on January 24, 2009, after a long illness, at the relatively young age of 46. Some have attempted to use Debbie Noyer-Black’s death as an excuse to explain Aaron Noyer’s deviant behavior, but Aaron had a long and colorful record of violence dating back to childhood. His mother died with the knowledge that her son was on a fast track to bigger crimes due to his habit of violently striking out at anyone, including family.

Although his parents were still married after twenty-eight years, a noble and stunning achievement given today’s standards, it is questionable as to how strong a family unit they were. For instance, when questioned about Aaron’s monthly stipend from Supplemental Security Income (SSI), his father revealed that he was unaware as to the exact nature of Aaron’s disability.

Steven Black also revealed while Aaron was proud of the fact he was only the second of the Noyer children to graduate from high school, he added that Aaron had always taken “special education” courses. It seems the money may have been the only concern; how or why Aaron rated receiving $660 a month was unimportant.

The neighborhood has spawned a few generations of lost souls and among them is Aaron Lee Noyer. The appearance of one more psychopath is not so surprising – it is the steadfast blind devotion of his family that tests one’s patience. Noyer is no different than his contemporaries but the excuses begin with the fact that Aaron always complained that others made fun of him and he felt persecuted.

Aaron Lee Noyer is a classic violent offender with hallmark incidents littering his life. Brutal anecdotes are rife with regards to his treatment of animals, particularly cats. His older sister, Starr, is practically bristling with sympathy for Aaron’s psychopathic behavior, stating that poor Aaron had anger issues due to the fact that other children picked on him.

Boo-fucking-hoo.

Father Steve Black doesn’t believe Aaron is capable of doing “what police said he did,” DESPITE the fact that Aaron confessed to the heinous deeds and led the police to Elizabeth’s body. Maybe daddy thinks his son is psychic.

Sister Starr Noyer agrees with her father (what a surprise!). Starr Noyer claims to feel sorry for Kassie Black’s loss; one wonders whether this was before or after she and her other sisters made the threat to “jump” Kassie? Starr does not believe her little brother, Aaron, would be so violent, but she said that she and the entire family will support Aaron regardless of the outcome.

Kevin Noyer has stated that he stands behind his older brother, Aaron, and that he (Kevin) is “… going to support him. That’s my brother, blood. Blood is thicker than water, we stick together that’s how family do it…”

And the Noyer family wonders why they have been receiving death threats.

Scourge of neighborhood pets, cats and dogs learned to avoid Aaron Noyer. In November, 2000, Aaron began his arson activities. Unexplained fires were suddenly springing up in the area. Destructive in nature, all authorities knew for sure was that the fires were deliberately set. The fires continued without interruption or clues as to the culprit.

The year 2002 should have been a high point in Aaron’s life as he participated in the Special Olympics in track and ski events, but it was the year he was busted as the neighborhood pyromaniac.

Aaron remained undetected until July 2, 2002. On that hot summer day, a fire broke out near the rear porch of the second-floor apartment of 251 E. 13th Street where eleven members of the Noyer family resided.

The fire quickly exploded and destroyed the building which had provided shelter for not only the Noyer brood but five other families, all of whom were now homeless. Everyone was lucky to have escaped with their lives although an eight-month-old infant suffered serious burns and scarring as hot tar fell on him.

By studying this fire with the others, Aaron was exposed as the serial arsonist.

As a result of nine fires set from November, 2000, to July, 2002, Aaron Noyer was charged with 33 counts of arson and risking a catastrophe. If he had been an adult, then these charges would have been serious felonies and translated into prison time.

Unfortunately, Noyer was only 14 and duly processed through the juvenile system. His time was served in various juvenile treatment facilities. Staunch supporter, big sister Starr claims that something must have upset Aaron to make him set those fires.

Whilst in the juvenile system, he was placed in a Beacon Light foster home in Bradford, Pennsylvania, and it was here that 17 year-old Aaron Noyer beat the hell out of Donna Graves’s 12-year-old son on a school bus. The mother found that absolutely no one would help pursue a case against Noyer – not children’s services, not school authorities, not law enforcement – as Noyer was months away from turning 18 and exiting the juvenile system.

On August 28, 2006, Aaron Lee Noyer was formally discharged from the Erie County Juvenile Court. Noyer was soon back in court as an adult, for conspiracy to commit robbery and inflict serious bodily harm. In June 2007, Noyer and four buddies were arrested for their aggravated robbery of a man and a woman on bikes near East 32nd and Ash streets. The gang first attacked the man, forcing him from his bike. When the woman came to the fallen man’s aid, she was attacked and beaten on the head with a rock.

The Noyer clan likes to appear solid and tight, but with eleven children, sibling rivalry is almost guaranteed. In June 2008, Aaron attacked his brother Keith after becoming upset over an Access (food stamp) card. Aaron stabbed his brother Keith in the left hip and left arm, with a folding knife.

Initially charged with aggravated assault and possession an instrument of crime, the aggravated assault charge was changed to simple assault and the weapons charged was withdrawn under the agreement that led to his guilty plea in October 2008. It meant less time for Aaron and therefore less punishment. He was sentenced to 9 to 23 months. He served 7 months and was paroled in April, 2009.

If Aaron Noyer had actually served the full sentence potential of 23 months, then he would not have been released until September, 2010.

That’s right. Had he served the full sentence, Aaron Lee Noyer would not have been out in the community to rape and murder.

Can anyone explain why he was let out in seven months? A prison sentence, even in the juvenile system, should mean something. If it is to be 9 to 23 months, then why is it only 7 months? Either punishment means something or it doesn’t.

Clearly, it doesn’t.

Steven Black, Aaron’s father, stated for the media that the men in his family don’t tolerate abuse towards women or children. Apparently Steven Black has been studiously unaware that when Aaron broke up with his 17-year-old girlfriend in May 2009, Aaron began stalking her. He threatened to kill her or have others beat her up, promised to hound her forever and so on. In July, 2009, she finally had to get a protection-from-abuse (PFA) order against him, which Noyer violated over and over again. The PFA was issued on August 6, 2009 and was to remain in effect until August 12, 2012.

The close knit Noyer clan could not have been unaware of this latest escapade with the justice system for Aaron, could they?

Or maybe Aaron’s behavior isn’t considered abusive in the Noyer family view – maybe it’s just Aaron’s way of saying “I love you.”

Continuing on a path of sheer destruction, Steven Black said poor Aaron wasn’t being kept occupied, that Aaron’s main thing was just walking the streets and trying to stay out of trouble. With a guaranteed monthly $660 cheque, taking the initiative and getting involved with the community or getting a job must have been out of the question? In ADDITION to paying Aaron Noyer $660 a month, society should also keep the lad busy.

If Aaron didn’t want to give up his SSI cheque, then what would have prevented him from volunteering in his community? If he couldn’t come up with something to do, does that mean his family couldn’t as well? Where is it written that because someone is born that the world owes them?

Early September 2009, Aaron Noyer developed an unhealthy fixation on a pre-adolescent girl. This alarming fact was only reported to authorities on June 3, 2010, via ChildLine. The report was sent to the Office of Children and Youth on June 9, 2010. Officials at OCY immediate rendered the girl in question “safe” from further contact with Aaron Noyer, but failed to forward information regarding Noyer on to police until August 2, 2010, when news of Noyer’s arrest was made public.

An internal examination within OCY resulted in disciplinary actions being taken against personnel for the lapse in following procedures, but confidentiality rules prevent further disclosure as to what steps had failed to be taken, who was disciplined, and what, if any, fallout there was from the agency’s failure to notify the police as per procedural rules.

So while this troublesome development continued unabated – Noyer’s fixation on the young girl – on November 11, 2009, in the area of East 13th and Holland streets, Thomas Taylor allegedly beat the snot out of Aaron Noyer and, according to his family, Noyer ended up spending some time in the hospital as a result. Taylor is still awaiting trial for this assault charge.

As a result of the report to ChildLine, around June 9th, 2010, the pre-adolescent child Noyer was fixated on was removed from his access and contact. It was mid-June that a woman created a MySpace under Aaron Lee Noyer’s name and stated that he is a “low-life”, a thief and that women “must be warned.” (http://www.myspace.com/539852539)

The protection of the pre-adolescent girl meant that he was unable to see or contact her; given Noyer’s violent personality, this event can be viewed as a catalyst to the escalation we see with his violent actions.

On July 16, 2010, Aaron Noyer raped a woman in the downtown Erie area. After the assault, she went to the hospital and reported the attack to the police. DNA was retrieved and placed on file. There the matter stayed and it may have remained one of many unsolved rape cases in the Erie area except for a stroke of good fortune.

While watching the news, she recognized Noyer after he was on television for his arrest for murder. When she contacted police, they compared the DNA from her rape kit and discovered that Noyer was indeed a match. On November 19, 2010, Aaron Lee Noyer was arraigned on charges of rape, sexual assault, aggravated assault, and unlawful restraint regarding this crime.

Two weeks after the rape, Aaron Noyer’s violence escalated. For some unknown reason, he decided to “rob” the home of Elizabeth Neimeic. Law enforcement cannot show any personal connection between the residents of Elizabeth’s home and Noyer, but detectives cannot shake the feeling that Noyer went specifically to that house.

Erie Police Chief Steve Franklin believes that Noyer targeted the house, but he is unsure of the primary reason Noyer did so. Noyer may have been stalking Elizabeth. The details about the girl he fixated on in 2009 are understandably confidential, but it is not too much of a stretch to assume that Noyer was seeking a replacement. No one in law enforcement believes that a burglar, in the midst of robbing a home, suddenly changes his mind and becomes a sex murderer. The psychology is wrong.

On August 1, 2010, at approximately 1:00 a.m., according to Noyer’s confession, while everyone was asleep, he broke in to Elizabeth Neimeic’s bedroom and went through her dresser drawers looking for valuables. When he did not find anything, he decided to kidnap the baby girl. Left unexplained is the reason as to why he took all of her clothing with him when he abducted Elizabeth.

A little over a mile from her home, Aaron Lee Noyer took Elizabeth to a field by some railway tracks and sexually assaulted her over and over until he was finished. Noyer brutalized the little toddler in such a savage manner that the family had to have a closed casket at the funeral. Aaron then strangled Elizabeth and tossed her down on some rocks.

It appears that Noyer wasn’t quite done and so he retrieved Elizabeth. He raped and savaged her body again and then threw her down on some rocks a second time, leaving her nude body open to the elements. This is where his charge for abuse of a corpse comes into effect.

Back at the bedroom crime scene, a soiled diaper was found between Elizabeth’s bed and her bedroom window – the diaper and the window had Noyer’s finger prints and hand prints.

When first questioned by law enforcement, Noyer’s story to police was that he was on-line surfing the web at the time in question. Vernon Lily told police that yes, Aaron Noyer used his two computers from time to time, but Noyer had not used them on the night in question. Lily gave the computers to the police and the detectives re-visited Aaron Noyer.

Aaron Noyer agreed to a more in-depth discussion downtown. When the cops put cuffs on him, he laughed and said they were dooming Elizabeth to die – arrest me and she dies in two days, he said. Giggling in the patrol car, Noyer stated that he had aided three men in breaking in to Elizabeth’s bedroom and that they had taken the little toddler with them.

The smirking and giggling continued unabated, even when Noyer finally came clean and admitted that he acted alone, that Elizabeth was dead, and that he had raped and murdered her.

Later, following Aaron Noyer’s directions, the police discovered the body of Elizabeth Neimeic less than a mile from her home, in some weeds near railway tracks south of West 12th Street between Greengarden Road and Raspberry Street.

Ultimately, Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook ruled Elizabeth’s death a homicide as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

Aaron Lee Noyer, of West Third Street, Erie, Pennsylvania, was charged with five felonies: criminal homicide, aggravated assault, aggravated indecent assault, kidnapping and abuse of a corpse, and was held without bond at the Erie County Prison. Representing Noyer is Nicole Sloane and Michael DeJohn. Sloane is well-known for her work as public defender for the more scum-dwelling defendants.

Noyer’s preliminary hearing on August 26, 2010, indicated that he acted alone.

How one chooses to live one’s life should never be cause for the type of censure and chastisement that Elizabeth’s mother has come in for. The cruelest rumour persisting in this case is that Noyer and she knew each other, that she owed him money for drugs and that she offered him her daughter in exchange for the drug debt. WTF?

Regardless, this rumour was so entrenched in the ‘hood that the cops took the unusual step of re-interviewing Kassie. Nothing further came of the interviews but the rumours have not gone away.

The focus on Kassie is reflective of society’s tendency to blame the victim. It is really rather pervasive in our world and everyone can easily be sucked into the blame-game.

The public forums, especially on Topix, are filled with rumours and innuendoes about the case and the potential connection Kassie may have with Noyer. When police re-interviewed Kassie Black, they asked her point-blank if she knew Noyer. It was confirmed that she did not.

But get a load of this blurb from one of the local papers:

…Police are receiving information on a daily basis from people all over the community, including two women who wish to remain anonymous. They are speaking up with information about the victim’s mother, Kassie Black. “We grew up with her. We know her.” Since the murder of her daughter, Black has told police she does not know who Aaron Noyer is. Two women say there is a connection between Kassie Black and Aaron Noyer. They say as recently as six months ago, Noyer was at Black’s house. ‘She knows him, they were friends on Facebook, MySpace – they just deleted it so nobody can pull it up. This is not random, not even close to random.’ So, if this wasn’t a random crime, what reason would Noyer have to allegedly go after Elizabeth Neimeic? These two women say they know exactly why. ‘To collect his money back, to get his money back from what they owed him.’…..

Now, with anonymous tipsters flooding the police with ‘information’ like this, is it any wonder that the cops had such a hard time investigating? Again, the police investigated this angle thoroughly – not one speck of evidence was found to support it.

And still these rumours cling to Kassie Black like some odor.

Noyer is a piece of shit and a monster masquerading a human being. The members of the Noyer family who have made verbal threats to physically attack Kassie Black and who have said their brother Aaron is innocent and who will “stand behind” this child-murdering asshole no matter what – these members can join him in the pits of hell.

While the pictures Joe and Kassie chose to post on their social networking accounts (BlackPlanet, MySpace, Facebook) leave a lot to be desired in terms of painting them as responsible parents, the fact is that these social network accounts are, for all intents and purposes, defunct. Both Joe and Kassie had abandoned their MySpace and BlackPlanet accounts by May of 2010, opting instead for Facebook accounts, set sensibly to “private”. It is likely that neither thought they had to bother to delete their old accounts, but then who would think that one day one’s life would come under microscopic public scrutiny?

Whatever Kassie Black’s personal demons are, no one deserves the heartache she is feeling. There are cases where the mothers have most deservedly come in for censure and vilification, but to date, the evidence has not been produced to sustain the rumors. Rabidly discussed in public forums is the fact that Kassie has given birth to six children, two were with her and Joe and the other four were adopted out. Kassie’s relatives have lept to her defense stating that the reasons for losing her children are not anyone’s business, only that they have been adopted out and the matter is closed.

The first child, a girl named Mariah, was rumored to have been beaten to death with a baseball bat in 2000. It turns out that, yes, she has had four children adopted out but the story about her daughter was spun from the gossip-ether.

It would be maddening to read some of the stories written as fact when trying to crawl through the emotional mess murder leaves in its wake. While Kassie no longer has custody with her other children, she does know that they are alive and adopted by couples who love and want them.

The loss of Elizabeth is permanent. There is no chance of a future reunion, no comforting knowledge that her child is alive and somewhere out in the world being cared for. And it is possible that she had changed her maternal behavior, but even if she had not, the children, Joe Jr. and Elizabeth, were well-loved by family and were healthy, well-kept, clean and happy. There seems to be no credit given to Joe’s parenting skills at all.

Granted, Kassie has been shown to be guilty of using drugs some time in her past, partying like it’s 1999, being unfaithful to her partner, and choosing friends of questionable loyalty and character, but her family claims that Elizabeth and Joe Jr. were her opportunities to settle down and be a real mother – and she had.

The whole volatile scene always seemed to be on the verge of exploding. Throw in the fact that money was being collected in Elizabeth’s name and you’ve got fuel for an atomic bomb. An anonymous donor came along and paid for the entire funeral costs himself. The question then became what to do with the money collected to date? Despite rumors of scams and illegal plans designed by Kassie, the last project being pursued was establishing a park in Elizabeth’s name.

Aaron Noyer? Violence, robbery, theft, rape, kidnapping, murder, arson, and many degrees of hate-filled actions too numerous to list.

The point is that the cops have gone back to Kassie and verified that there is NO connection with her and Noyer. They have the computers Noyer used and they have internet experts who would be able to re-create and retrieve any connections Noyer had on MySpace and Facebook. To date, nothing has been discovered to connect Noyer with Kassie Black.

Despite this all-clear from the police, the rumors continue. This concerted effort to find fault with Kassie Black is an effort to deflect from any type of close scrutiny of Aaron Noyer and the gaping holes in our system that enabled him to reach his level of depravity.

Noyer was a walking time bomb waiting to go off. He was in the system and given typical soft gloves for punishment. Perhaps if Aaron Noyer had to work to replace the properties he burned down, then he may have learned that it isn’t such a good idea to destroy something that takes a lot of work and effort to repair.

Noyer’s family is all in an uproar because they refused to believe he was capable of the actions he is guilty of.

Actually, Noyer’s behavior makes sense in light of his violent past. Noyer is a psychopath with absolutely no concern for anyone other than himself.

Typical predator behavior, Noyer had many social networking sites established in order to garner victims; he had over eight MySpace accounts, two FaceBook accounts, and others.

Noyer supposedly broke into the home via Elizabeth’s bedroom window to commit a robbery. Think about it. He broke into the only room in the house that was locked from the outside. He said that he was there to rob and when he couldn’t find anything in Bitty’s dresser, he decided to take her and all her clothes.

Does this sound plausible to anyone at all?

Elizabeth’s last hours on earth must have been horrific and the terror and pain she endured should be visited upon the piece of filth known as Aaron Lee Noyer – oh, and the same for any of his supporters.

Cops believe something drew Noyer to that house – they just don’t know what. While the internet and people in the neighborhood speculate a connection to Kassie, the more likely link is Shuntel Mathis. If two parties are connected here, it would likely be Noyer and Mathis.

Perhaps Mathis had bragged about his little girl with Kassie and how Joe was raising his (Shuntel’s) daughter as his own and didn’t know, and maybe even showed a photo or two. Once Noyer had Kassie’s name, checking the child out would be no problem on the sites Kassie has set up on MySpace, Facebook and BlackPlanet.

In the who-knew-who fiasco and trying to figure out what Noyer’s connection to Elizabeth was, the second set of interviews didn’t reveal anything new. The potential link of Shuntel Mathis and Aaron Noyer was never thoroughly examined. Shuntel Mathis knew Elizabeth was his daughter, but he kept quiet about it for several reasons, one being that he was married and Kassie was engaged to Joe. Kassie and Joe already had a son together, Joseph LL Neimeic. When Elizabeth was born, it is anyone’s guess if Kassie came clean to Joe or not, but Elizabeth bore Joe’s name and Joe loved Bitty as if she was his little girl. In every sense that mattered, Joe Neimeic was Elizabeth’s father.

There are many mitigating circumstances which enabled the prosecution to seek the death penalty. In this case, the three factors noted by Erie County District Attorney Jack Daneri were Elizabeth’s age (under 12), the fact Noyer murdered her during the commission of two other felonies (kidnapping and rape), and Noyer’s long and illustrious history of violence.

Despite Daneri’s desire to pursue the death penalty, Noyer’s lawyers said that Noyer cannot be considered for the death penalty as his IQ is only 57. It is illegal to put developmentally challenged individuals to death, as per the Supreme Court decision.

Aaron Lee Noyer had a long and violent past. His eventual explosion on society was well anticipated by anyone with a functioning brain. His family’s attempts at blaming everyone and their dog for his bad behavior is typical. Where were his parents when he was growing up? His father said that Aaron’s main thing was just “walking the streets.” Well, you know, Aaron could have given up his SSI check and got a job, just like everyone else. His family could have stressed the whole work ethic as being something to go for instead of sitting around milking the system.

Noyer’s case was gearing up for the typical long haul. There were the usual preliminary hearings and moves by the defense to block the prosecution’s efforts to push ahead with the death penalty – the trump card? Noyer’s IQ. The IQ issue is irrelevant – Noyer lied to cover up his actions and willingly and cheerfully gave his confession. Noyer isn’t dumb or intellectually handicapped.

Noyer’s legal team was angling to use his deficient IQ as their wedge. The fact that Noyer confessed to being involved in Elizabeth’s death within 45 minutes of having the cuffs on him is considered a record. The illusion that it took hours and hours to get him to confess is untrue, despite his lawyer’s statements. Noyer laughed and giggled the entire time he dealt with the detectives. He was not worried or concerned in the slightest.

And why would he be? In his entire life, he has suffered no sever punishment or consequences as a result of any of his actions.

The trial of the State of Pennsylvania versus Aaron Lee Noyer had been tentatively scheduled for March of 2011.

As we all know, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the developmentally disabled are exempt from the death penalty. By developmentally disabled, it means persons who have IQs of 70 or lower, who were diagnosed well before their 18th birthday, and whose mental deficiency impacts to a large degree their ability to function in daily living.

The hearing on February 11, 2011, was the beginning of the battle of the experts. The prosecution hired two psychiatrists while the defense hired one of their own. Two of the three claim that poor Aaron cannot be considered for the death penalty due to his IQ (high 40s low 50s). The lone hold out is the second prosecution expert, Dr. Timothy Michals, who said that Aaron’s low IQ does NOT impact his daily life to the degree which would make him exempt from the death penalty.

Presiding over the proceedings was President Judge Ernest J. DiSantis Jr.

Both prosecution experts found that Noyer faked psychosis in their presence, surprise, surprise.

Naturally, the defense expert, Herbert I. Levit, Ph. D., said that his tests had Aaron’s IQ at 46. Prosecution expert Steven Samuel, Ph.D., obtained IQ results of 50.

As Dr. Michals pointed out, in the police interviews Aaron Noyer (remember him giggling?) displayed the ability to think about the questions and give various answers depending on how he wanted to appear – in other words, he lied and he lied well. And if you can lie that well, then you are certainly not having trouble dealing with daily activities.

The defense attorneys also wanted to have Aaron’s statements to the police thrown out as they claimed he did not understand what he was doing when he waived his right against self-incrimination.

As the warring factions gathered again, on February 22, 2011, Erie County Judge Ernie DiSantis ruled that Aaron Noyer could not be given the death penalty if he was convicted of the murder of Elizabeth Neimeic, as he was “not mentally fit.” Noyer’s IQ test results ranged from 46 to 50, which the Judge acknowledged were well below the IQ of 70 which forbids the use of the death penalty.

Score one for the defense.

As for the motion to dismiss Noyer’s confession to the police, Judge DiSantis ruled that these statements WILL be allowed to be entered in to evidence during the trial.

Score one for the prosecution.

Who says justice isn’t a game?

And just when things looked like they were going to drag on forever and a day, it all came rapidly to an abrupt end on March 11, 2011.

A plea deal was arranged (you just knew that was in the works) and on March 11, 2011, Aaron Lee Noyer pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder of Elizabeth Karen Neimeic.

Noyer was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

As part of the deal, prosecutors dropped all other charges, including the aggravated indecent assault, kidnapping and abuse of a corpse.

For Noyer’s part, he relinquished his appellate appeals rights meaning he cannot challenge his sentence, any of the pretrial rulings, nor the effectiveness of his attorneys.

And Noyer also had to plead guilty to the rape and attack he committed prior to murdering Elizabeth Neimeic. Sentencing for this crime will take place on July 25, 2011.

Essentially, Erie County District Attorney Jack Daneri had stated early on that he planned to go for the death penalty, but once the judge ruled against this, the prosecutor’s office went for the next best thing: life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The offer was drafted with the sole intent of keeping Noyer locked away forever. In order for the deal to be acceptable, Noyer had to give up any grounds he may have for appealing his sentence and Daneri stated that the plea deal would guarantee that Noyer would never again be a free man.

According to Daneri:

“We are pleased he is not going to see daylight again. The death penalty was not an option for us, so the next best thing was that this individual be incarcerated for the rest of his life without the chance of seeing freedom again and putting him among us again.”

And while it isn’t the ending everyone would have liked, perhaps that death penalty may still be an option should Noyer ever be housed outside of protective custody inside the prison.

Word is that the men in general population don’t take too kindly to child murderers.

Police were first contacted some time in June by the Cabinet for Health and Family Services due to disturbing statements given by the children in therapy sessions. The children had told their counselor things that you would have to be pretty sick to make up.

They claimed that Cheryl Christopher locked them in dog cages with Doberman Pinschers. Mommy dearest also attempted to drown them on numerous occasions after duct taping their eyes and mouth. Both children stated that their mother also placed plastic shopping bags over their heads in an attempt to suffocate them.

If that doesn’t scream that these people should rot in hell, maybe this will. The girls also said that their mother had forced them to jump off the roof of their house! They were also locked in their rooms for extended periods of time, with padlocks on the doors.

It appears that the abuse had taken place at their former house on Deauville Drive. The company that now owns the property claims that some doors in the house had locks on the outside, as if they were trying to keep someone confined in those rooms. On the inside of those doors they found claw marks and kick marks, most likely from people trying to escape.

The current resident of the home on Deauville Drive said in an interview that he found carpet bags and duffel bags in the attics, as if people were living up there.

When the two girls were interviewed their stories were remarkably similar, even though they hadn’t seen each other in months due to being in foster care. One claim from the children was that Cheryl had stabbed her husband on one occasion when he tried to stop her from suffocating one of the girls with a plastic bag. Elisha, ever the apologist for his wife, told authorities that the injury wasn’t serious – it was “just a nick.”

The judge on the case, Megan Lake Thornton, was told police were still investigating the case. In reality, the investigator, James Root, was reading journals Cheryl had forced the children to write and watching videos. Root gave no elaboration on the videos, but you can imagine what they contained.

On July 20, both Cheryl Christopher and Elisha Christopher were arrested. Cheryl was charged with first-degree criminal abuse, first-degree wanton endangerment and unlawful imprisonment. Elisha was charged with one count of criminal abuse, for not reporting Cheryl’s actions. They have pleaded not guilty.

Judge Thornton ordered that they no longer have contact with the children while out on bond. Their attorneys had told the judge that the Cheryl and Elisha hadn’t had any contact with their children since they were taken by social services almost a year ago. Something that should have been done a long time ago in my opinion.

Cheryl Christopher’s sister, Pamela Gregory, said that Cheryl had never abused her children and the stories were merely made up by the two girls, who Cheryl claimed were “a handful.” According to Pamela, the problems had started when Cheryl adopted the two young girls.

I’m sure they did. Cheryl Christopher was already raising two young children when she and husband Elisha Christopher adopted the two victims. The feelings of being overwhelmed probably hit her about that time, and the two newcomers became to focus of her frustration and anger.

Pamela Gregory also noted Cheryl’s 20 year old daughter had posted the property bond to get. her parents out of jail. The daughter was in the court room through the hearing. “If she was abused, why would she be around them?” Pamela stated this about the older daughter. “She’s not going to be around her parents if they’re like that.”

Or Pamela, or…Cheryl Christopher and Elisha Christopher have never been accused of abusing any of the other children. All the charges against them concern the two kids who were the last to be adopted. Perhaps they were crabby, or defiant, or disobedient. Did that give Cheryl permission to drown them?

Pamela also claimed that her sister has a temper, and their family often has arguments over mundane things such as chores and discipline. However, when the social services took her children “they didn’t have a mark on them.”

“A monster puts a plastic bag over a kid’s head. She (Cheryl) is not a monster.”

I’ll let the people in the comments be the judge of that. Who was the monster here? Cheryl for abusing her children in the first place? Elisha for not taking action on abuse he knew was occurring in his own home? Or Pamela for standing up for her sister who was obviously abusing her two young daughters?

17 year old Tyler Hadley threw a party after murdering two people with a hammer.The two people he murdered were his parents, Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley.

Now I know that when I was 17 my parents would not let me throw a party unless they supervised it and there was no alcohol or drugs. Apparently Blake and Mary-Jo felt their son should not have a party on the 16th of July, 2011. And they had good reason to deny this request.

In June 2010 Tyler, a high school drop out, hit and injured a child while driving Blake’s car and the family was being sued for $15,000. Really nice kid, huh?

Tyler did not care too much about his parents decision that there would be no party because he had a plot to get his way. At around 1:15 PM he sent the first Facebook invitation to all of his friends to come over for a massive party. It was tentative, showing that Tyler still hadn’t made the entire leap from loving son to cold-blooded murderer:

“party at my crib tonight … maybe.”

Tyler Hadley stood behind his mother for a full five minutes, deciding whether to go through with his plan. Finally, he began bashing in Mary-Jo’s skull with the hammer - all she could do was plead with the son she had brought into the world 17 years ago.

“Why?!!”

Tyler was unmoved by his mother’s words. He finished her.

When his father Blake walked into the room, they locked eyes before he started beating him with the hammer, too. He hit him in the torso and he hit him in the head.

When he was finished he hid their bodies in a bedroom of their house and covered the bodies with anything he could find lying around which included books, files and towels.

It is NOT for the squeamish, but I feel that to understand the criminal you must understand his crimes, and that includes becoming familiar with every bit of suffering the victims endured.

Tyler Hadley spent the next several hours cleaning up the mess he had made – after all, he had guests arriving that evening.

His next move? To get the party started! First he had to finalize that invitation:

8:15 p.m.: “party at my house hmu.”

(hmu) is the abbreviation for “hit me up”.

40 to 60 people showed up for the party not knowing they were having a blast just feet away from two dead bodies. The festivities carried on from 9:00 p.m. to around 3:00 a.m..

As happens in many cases like this, when teenagers kill, Tyler Hadley’s worst enemy turned out to be Tyler Hadley, specifically Tyler Hadley’s big mouth.

Apparently, Hadley had called his best friend, Mike Mandell, early on the day on the murders, threatening to kill his parents. Around noon, Mandell told police he called back and repeated the threat against Blake and Mary-Jo Hadley. Mikey told cops he didn’t take Tyler seriously because he always threatened to kill his parents.

Well, as the party wore on into the night, maybe Tyler Hadley started to have some pangs of conscience, or perhaps he just had to tell someone what he had done, or maybe it was as simple as proving to his friend Mike Mandell that he had the balls to go through with it, but he took Mandell outside and confessed the entire sordid story to him.

According to Mandell, Hadley said he killed his parents after taking three Ecstasy pills:

“He told me if I look hard enough I would find the scene and I saw signs of blood and that’s when I went around and saw it in his parents’ bedroom. I opened the door, saw bloody sheets and broken pictures and looked down and saw his dad’s leg.”

Now Mike Mandell understood that this was no joke.

The following day the police received a tip which led them to the Hadley’s home where Tyler was reported as acting “nervous and panicky” and told the police his parents were out of town. The police reported seeing beer cans strewn all over the garden at the house also. When the police searched the house they found the bodies in the master bedroom which had been locked.

Tyler has refused to speak to anyone and is being prosecuted as an adult. While he currently is charged with second-degree murder, it’s all but certain a grand jury will indict him on more serious charges. Because Tyler Hadley was under 18 at the time he killed Blake and Mary-Jo, he cannot receive the death penalty.

You see Crystal Jean Ciampa is somewhat of a hopeless romantic. She has had five sons with three different men before settling down with Joshua Louis Heater. But there was something bothering Crystal; something that kept her from enjoying her new boy toy. Crystal’s five-year-old son resembled the man who was both his father and her ex-husband. This was a problem for her, and the boy had to be punished.

You might be wondering what punishment a five-year-old gets for having audacity to look like his father. Well you can stop wondering because I will tell you, just make sure if you are eating that you stop immediately because this will make you sick to your stomach.

This little boy was locked outside in 30 degree weather, or locked inside a cage in a bedroom closet where he was starved and forced to eat his own feces and drink his own urine, burned with a lighter, and cut with a cake cutter.

This abuse had been going on for the last two years! For two years this little guy was being tortured by his mommy and her boyfriend. His mommy….the one who is supposed to protect him from all the evil in this world. The person is supposed to love him so much that she would give her life for his. Instead she was slowing trying to end his life by inflicting as much pain and suffering on her little boy as possible.

Joshua Heater admitted the abuse and gave up Crystal Ciampa to the police.

CPS has suspected abuse since February of 2009 but never acted because they say the boy would not talk to them and when he did he blamed his cuts and bruises on his four brothers. CPS visited the house 4 separate times in 2 years and saw bruises and cuts on the little boy.

I can’t imagine why this boy would not tell the social workers the truth….

Maybe it was because Crystal Ciampa And Joshua Heater threatened him….

Maybe it was because he was scared for his life…

I didn’t know that CPS can leave a child in a home where they suspect abuse is happening unless he tells them he is being abused.
Does that mean babies who are being abused are left in these abusive homes because they cannot talk yet and tell the social worker what is happening to them???

CPS finally removed the boys when the five year old was caught sneaking a soda out of the fridge and Crystal Ciampa forced him to chug the whole thing and eat the vomit that shortly followed. When he was removed they counted over 42 bruises on his little body.

This despicable duo have been charged with multiple counts of child abuse and neglect, and witness tampering and their bond is set at $65,000 for each.

Billie Murray, Crystal Ciampa’s mother is having a hard time believing her angle would do this to a child. She said

“You’d have to be more than an animal to do this. I couldn’t imagine that my daughter would….

“They didn’t ask to be brung into this world. They deserve a beautiful life”"

Billie is seeking full custody of the five children which makes me a little sad for those children. If Billie cannot believe that her daughter would do such a thing then I would bet money that when Crystal Ciampa is out of prison she will allow her to see her children….and possibly finish what she started with the little boy. I wonder what punishment she will think of for turning her in to the police.

I hope someone protects these children if either of these monsters get out of prison before these kids are able to defend themselves.

But then I found another quote from Billie which contradicts her earlier statement that she doesn’t believe her daughter could do such a thing:

“Even if I had $30,000, no, I wouldn’t bond her out. She can sit there and rot. I hope the judge shows her no mercy because she didn’t”

So who really knows where this grandmother stands but I hope for the sake of those children that she meant that last quote.

Editor’s Notes: I’d like to give an honorable mention to the incredible number of people who knew the abuse of this 5-year-old boy was occurring and did NOTHING. According to Citrus County Sheriff’s Detective Kat Liotta, who was part of the investigation into Crystal Ciampa and Joshua Heater and helped place the child and his four brothers in homes, she interviewed 12 people who said they witnessed the abuse:

Not your business? Didn’t want to get involved? How can people be so uncaring? In my mind, this kind of behavior is another kind of evil, and those of us who exhibit it deserve to be punished. So far, there is no law against being an asshole, so it’s left to people like us with hearts and empathy to call them out, on websites like this for instance.

“Jerry is behind this.”

Jerry is 38-year-old Jerry Ramrattan, her former live-in boyfriend, whom she had accused of raping her after an argument in her Queens, New York, home. Needless to say, Jerry was none too happy about being charged with rape, especially since Seemona Sumasar was HIS woman at the time. That girl need to be taught a lesson.

What Jerry Ramrattan came up with to get even with Seemona Sumasar was incredibly despicable, yet so intricate and well conceived that even prosecutors and police unknowingly became eager partners in Jerry’s scheme.

First, Jerry Ramrattan found people who were in need of a “favors” and were willing to say anything to get them. He hired Rajive Mohanlal, Terrell Lovell and Luz Johnson.

Jerry Ramrattan showed the trio pictures of Seemona Sumasar, single mother and owner of a brand new Golden Crust Bakery franchise, so they would be able to identify her. He drove them her house so they would know what kind of car she drove, and made them memorize her license plate. One by one, from September of 2009 until May of 2010, Mohanlal, Lovell and Johnson acted out their roles, always under the careful direction of Mr. Ramrattan.

First up was Rajive Mohanlal, an illegal immigrant from Trinidad, who called 911 on Sept. 15, 2009 and claimed he had been robbed by Seemona and a man named Vishwanaut Bandhu earlier that day at gunpoint. Mohanlal claimed both of them were dressed as police officers. He even appeared before a grand jury to repeat his story.

Six months later, Terrell Lovell reported that he had been robbed in Nassau County by two police impersonators and gave police gave a description the person who appeared to be in charge that matched the description of Seemona Sumasar. Lovell also said he had managed to take down the first three letters of the Jeep Grand Cherokee’s New York license plate – AJD – the same as Ms. Sumasar’s.

Finally, on May 13th, 2010, Luz Johnson called Nassau County 911 to say that SHE had been robbed at gunpoint be the a pair of police impersonators driving a black Nissan, only she managed to get the entire license plate number. That plate number matched a black Nissan owned by Devon McDonald, Seemona Sumasar’s present boyfriend.

Then, two days later, Luz Johnson reported that the same pair of perpetrators driving the same black Nissan tried to steal her car with a spare key they had stolen during the first robbery.

Seemona Sumasar was arrested by Nassau County Police on May 21st, 2010 after police found her driving the black Nissan. Both Johnson and Lovell identified her in a photo array and Seemona was charged with two counts of Robbery in the First Degree; two counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm and two counts of Criminal Impersonation and Unlawful Wearing of a Body Vest. She was being held on that incredibly high bond I mentioned at the beginning of the story, facing 25 years in prison if convicted of the armed robbery counts.

And if that wasn’t enough, NYPD detectives finally finished their investigation of the alleged robbery of Rajive Mohanlal back in 2009. In July of 2010, Vishwanaut Bandhu was arrested after a search of his apartment turned up some live ammunition, and Seemona Sumasar was indicted by a Queens Grand Jury.

Every time detectives questioned her, Seemona Sumasar would tell them that Jerry Ramrattan was framing her, that he had done it before to others. She told them about the rape case, but because of the supposedly solid evidence against her, they refused to listen to her. She told them she had an alibi for the times of the robberies, that could be verified by phone records, but they ignored her.

“I think they just thought I was just trying to blame it on [Ramrattan] — that I really did it and that I was just being a drama queen. It was just totally ignored. They looked at me like I was crazy.”

Jerry Ramrattan had done his homework, and he had a working knowledge of police procedure and tactics that most people don’t. He had worked as a paid informant for the NYPD for some time when he was young, so he knew it was important to feed the police information bit by bit over time, through multiple victims, and let them come to the conclusions. He was also a huge CSI fan.

His plan was really quite brilliant, in a psychopathic sort of way.

Richard A. Brown, the Queens district attorney, told the New York Times:

“We prosecute tens of thousands of cases each year, but in the collective memory, no one has ever seen anything like this before. Few people have the capacity to pull off a master plot of this magnitude to exact revenge.”

But it appears that our boy Jerry was a liar and a conman too. He introduced himself to Seemona Sumasar as a police detective, but the honeymoon was over pretty quickly once he moved into her house and she realized he was full of shit.

At first she didn’t understand why an NYPD detective worked so few hours, but Seemona is a smart woman, and she soon realize that only unemployed losers had the hours Jerry Ramrattan was “working”. But she thought it was a harmless habit, because he seemed to be such a good guy:

“He seemed like a generally good person. Never did I ever think that he was capable of anything like this.”

But then came the “alleged” rape, on March 8, 2009, and Seemona Sumasar’s life changed forever.

Finally, in December of 2010, just weeks before Seemona Sumasar was scheduled to go on trial, one of the conspirators jumped ship.

Seems Rajive Mohanlal was getting cold feet about testifying under oath – what with the perjury thing and all – so Jerry Ramrattan threatened to have Rajive’s family, deported. I’m not sure how Jerry Ramrattan planned to do this, but, hoping to get protection for himself and his people, on December 2nd, 2010, Rajive went to the cops.

Rajive told them the entire twisted tale, and for corroboration, gave them Jerry Ramrattan’s cellphone number. Police checked Jerry’s phone records and found numerous calls to Terrell Lovell and Luz Johnson. When Lovell and Johnson were confronted with the records, they immediately confessed.

The jig was up.

Embarrassed prosecutors contacted Seemona Sumasar’s defense team. After seven months in prison, Sumasar was immediately released and reunited with her daughter, who is now 13. By then she had lost her home to foreclosure and her business had failed. She has been forced to start he life over again from the beginning.

“I was so happy, so excited, but at the same time, I couldn’t help but be angry. From the beginning I was presumed guilty, not innocent. I felt like I never had a chance. I can never have faith in justice in this country again.”

That’s so sad – I hope the lazy detectives who worked this case heard this quote.

As for Jerry Ramrattan, he was arrested and charged with two counts of Perjury in the First Degree; two counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree; two counts of Falsely Reporting an Incident in the Third Degree; two counts of Offering False Instrument; and two counts of Conspiracy in the Fifth Degree.

The phony witnesses, Terrell Lovell and Luz Johnson, were both charged with perjury.

Unfortunately, if you listen to what Jerry Ramrattan’s lawyer says, it isn’t over for Seemona Sumasar. Not by a long shot:

“Jerry is not guilty of raping Seemona Sumasar. He is innocent of those charges.”

“While he was fighting the rape charges, his money disappeared from his account, and we believe that we are able to show Seemona is the one who took those funds.”

“Other people were looking to have Seemona arrested because they had financial problems with Seemona. They had a beef with her. They were the ones that indicated they would get her back for what she did to them.”

I wonder about that. When I looked up Jerry Ramrattan’s court records and found his complete charge list, I came to the conclusion that either he’s in BIG trouble, or Seemona Sumasar has more influence at the Queens and Nassau county DA’s offices than New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo.

That’s 28 separate criminal acts, for those of you who care about statistics. Pretty impressive, isn’t it. Oh, but Jerry Ramrattan didn’t actually commit do any of them, of course. Still, He is being held on One Million Dollars bond, and is scheduled to go to trial in October of 2011.

According to other court records I looked up, both Luz Johnson and Terrell Lovell plead guilty to a reduced charge of Falsifying Business Records. They haven’t been sentenced yet, so I assume they are going to testify against Jerry Ramrattan. Rajive Mohanlal has not been charged with any crime as of this date.

So there you have it folks. When my wife told me about this story, I knew I had to write about it. I haven’t done a story from scratch in a very long time, and this sounded like a a pretty despicable case of revenge. Think about it – this son of a bitch was prepared to let Seemona do a long stretch in a NY state prison, because she has the unmitigated gall to object to being raped by him.

Even though there was nothing physically violent about Jerry Ramrattan’s scheme, I found the idea that this innocent woman found herself just one man’s conscience away from spending 25 years of her life in prison as offensive to me as the rape.

The police and prosecutor are far from blameless here. They failed to follow up on Seemona Sumasar’s alibi claims and ignored clues that would have easily cleared her. The detectives were just plain lazy. For instance, on the day of one of the robberies, Seemona’s cell phone records clearly show she was nowhere near the area at the time of the incident. On top of that, does it make any sense at all that a former Wall Street investment analyst with a spotless arrest record would suddenly resort to robbery at gunpoint?

As I mentioned, Jerry Ramrattan is scheduled to go on trial for the rape and the plot against Seemona Sumasar this October. We can only hope that the jury is smart enough to recognize truth in the midst of all the lies that will be told. I don’t envy their job.

Even her deadbeat ex, one inappropriately named David Best, seemed to have warmed to the idea of becoming a father, and had been accompanying Melissa to prenatal visits and taking her shopping for items for their unborn daughter. Melissa was going to name her Jenna- May.

For any woman who has ever given birth to a little girl, you know how exciting the last few months of your pregnancy can be. I know I was planning ballet lessons for my baby girl before she had even taken her first breath. Me, a confirmed tomboy, spent hours poring over lilac babygro’s and pink booties, sticking butterflies on her nursery wall and ironing tiny floral sheets for her cradle. I was in seventh heaven.

I’m pretty sure Melissa Shelver went through all of the same motions I did when she found out she was having a girl. She was probably over the frigging moon.

Cut to Valentine’s Day, 2006. East London, South Africa, or, International Nation of Professional Hijackers. Melissa and David went to her final scan before she was due to deliver little Jenna-May. On their way home, they were hijacked, taken to a remote bushy area and David was shot in the shoulder by their hijacker. Melissa begged for her baby to be spared. Instead, she was shot in the stomach. Twice.

Melissa, when speaking about the incident for the first time, recalled:

“There was blood all over the inside of the car.”

“As soon as I realized I’d been shot, I started going into labor. The mix of the heat, the panic, the blood, it all seemed so unreal.”

So Superdad David drove Melissa to the nearest hospital (after our gunman fled the scene with David’s wallet and incidentals, curiously, I always thought that hijackers took CARS,) where her baby was delivered, dead, by caesarean section.

Melissa wasn’t allowed to remove her baby’s blankets when she held her. The nurses deliberated for ages as to whether she should be allowed to hold baby Jenna-May AT ALL, since her little body was so horribly mangled. I cannot imagine anyone experiencing anything as horrible as what that young woman went through when she held her tiny baby’s corpse, when she should have been cuddling and nursing a pink, squalling, vibrantly alive newborn girl.

“As I looked at my daughter’s tiny face I could hardly believe she had gone. She was beautiful with thick curly black hair. But the nurse wouldn’t let me unwrap her blanket because of her wounds. “I was angry at the world because of what had happened to me. But I never imagined David would be behind it.”

Neither did anyone ELSE in this country, Melissa, that’s just not something anyone could imagine. But that’s NOT why David’s name is the title for this story. He is on “People You’ll See In Hell” because that is exactly where this sick puppy is going.

You see, dear reader, David Best hired a hitman to fake a hijacking and murder his unborn child.

As anyone will tell you, hitmen are apparently a dime a dozen in South Africa. Just ask Dina Rodrigues. She managed to hire a whole troupe. And they’ll work for minimum wage, too, if the victim is a baby, or an unborn baby.

That’s how David Best managed to afford the services of one Ludwe Mashumpa, whose going rate was, until the time of his arrest, about five thousand Rands (about 750 US Dollars) to fake a hijacking, deceptively injure his employer AND shoot a pregnant woman twice, in the stomach.

That’s about a month’s groceries for a family of five around these parts. Or a very, very big tattoo, followed by an ice- cream and a trip to the Johannesburg Zoo. You get the idea.

Nothing like a bit of old-fashioned indigence to breed a little value-for-your-money in sunny ole S.A, since according to the judge, Ludwe’s “financial circumstances made it easy for him to be manipulated.”

So Ludwe Mashumpa only goes to prison for a maximum of 15 years. Oh, right, I forgot to tell you that being socially disadvantaged in South Africa means that you have a right to disregard human life and moral values. While you ponder on that thought, ponder also the life of Nelson Mandela, or Steve Biko, or Bishop Desmond Tutu, then tell me how wrong Judge Johan Froneman’s thinking is, exactly.

And yes, I DO get to say things like that, because when you live on a planet where there is a value attached to every little life, you are allowed to be indignant.

Because I live in a country that gives a POS like David Best a mere 21 years in prison for attempted murder, conspiring to murder, assault, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, and obstructing justice, and because by law Jenna-May’s death doesn’t even count, I’m allowed to be very, very angry indeed, as should you, dear reader.

The day after Melissa Shelver was shot, David Best confessed to two East London pastors. According to the Reverend David Gernetsky, part of what he said was:

“God cannot forgive me. I will burn in hell for this”
