I love babies. I love the way they feel and smell and sound and look. I turn to mush when I see a baby, and have even learned to say in Mandarin, “Your baby is adorable,” and, “Your child is beautiful.” Alas, I was never blessed with a child but get such joy from the babies of friends and relatives. So it is incomprehensible to me that a uterus-owner like Melissa Alexander can exist and breed. I refuse to consider her a mother.
Melissa Alexander, a 26-year-old from Toronto, Canada, had a perfectly beautiful little boy, Miguel Fernandes. Beautiful… with big dark eyes and thick curly hair. Miguel Fernandes lived to the ripe age of 19 months when Melissa Alexander had a bad day in September, 2007.

I’ve been coming here for around a year or so I guess, although I just started commenting a few months back. I never really had a desire to write anything for the website because I’m not very good writer. I’m a decent editor, but the passion for writing has always eluded me. However, when I began reading this story I felt a need to speak out, because no matter how desensitized or cynical I thought I was, I was not prepared for how this story made me feel.

I am not a summer person. I hate the heat and prefer snow and temperatures below 50. All summer I stay in the pool or the air conditioned house as much as possible to avoid the uncomfortable stickiness and throbbing headache the heat gives me. Living in Pennsylvania we get temperatures in the low 100’s some summers.
Imagine being stuck outside for 4 hours on a day where the temperature reaches 97. Now imagine being stuck inside a van on a day the outside temperature reaches 97. No air, no water and no one to hear you cry. This is exactly what Bryan Nevins of Bucks County Pennsylvania experienced.

I have always been an animal lover. I have always had a pet for as long as I can remember. At the moment I have 3 cats, 2 rats and a dog (and a partridge and a pear tree lol).
Now everyone I tell this to asks me why I would ever get a rat as a pet and I tell them how I was at the pet store getting cat food and was looking at the small animals when I heard a man, who was buying a large reptile cage, talking to an employee of the store about the feeder rodents they have.

This lovely woman sporting a not-so-stylish orange jumpsuit is Jessica Blackham. You can guess from her lack of makeup, messy hair, dark circles under her eyes and general prison-like appearance that she’s not very happy lately. And, of course, the fact that you’re reading about her on People You’ll See In Hell.
I wouldn’t imagine Jessica Blackham is very happy at all considering she can possibly spend the next 30 years of her life rotting in jail (she’s 25 now, do the math). Can you imagine a woman in her 20s being very happy that she may spend her last young years in the slammer?
What for, you probably wonder? Well, it depends on who you ask. If you ask Jessica Blackham herself, she’ll claim she has no idea and doesn’t remember.

I don’t have children; that’s a personal decision. However I do have a niece who is 7 and a nephew who is 5 and I am very active in their upbringing. These two children are my sunshine. It really is amazing at the amount of love I have for these kids, and the ends I would gladly meet to insure their health and well being are taken care of.
Perhaps stemming from the grievances their mother and I were subjected to when we were children makes us a little overly cautious with these two. But I’d rather be overly cautious now than sad and sorry later. So we are careful. We watch them constantly, who their friends are and who those friends’ parents are. They don’t go with anyone we don’t trust implicitly, and there are few that fall into that category.

Sometimes you simply cannot believe what you are reading. Sometimes you wish someone had given you a “heads up” warning. Okay, I am giving my fellow PYSIH readers this warning: the following story has a strong YUCK factor. So, if you’ve got a queasy stomach or a strong gag reflex, then you may just want to skip reading the tale below.
When two people take their marriage vows, the traditional promises are “for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part.” These days, the promises are kept half the time. Still, most people have love for one another, at least in the beginning, and it is in these “long married” couples one expects to see embodiment of the marital vows.

Accidents happen. Fact of life. And another fact is they happen very easily and very often to children. The best parents on the planet need only look away for a second and something can happen to their cherished offspring. Accidents are unfortunate, but not necessarily a crime. Jonathan Hope and Lisa Guerin were not the best parents on the planet — not even close, and it was how they reacted to an accident that was truly a crime.
At 2 o’clock in the afternoon back in April, 2006 Calgary paramedics and police found themselves in a basement suite in a southwest Calgary fourplex. The suite was decidedly in a poor state according to Detective Theresa Garagan. There were numerous cats and kittens running around (which to some people is good), some cat feces on the floor (which is not so good), and one naked little dead girl (indisputably bad).
