Well, apparently Mr. Moore has once more found his refuge in the courts. The Nebraska Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution for this charming man.
There was a very interesting passage from the Supremes’ statement. I’ll share it with you here.
While we have previously concluded that electrocution is constitutional, we have also noticed a changing legal landscape that raises a question regarding the continuing vitality of that conclusion.
Ok that’s good. The Supremes are aware that public opinion and laws change. They have their fingers on the pulse of America. We are being well-served.
Someone’s a snitch.
On the 10th of April, 2007, an anonymous caller notified the St. Paul police that a woman had thrown a stillborn baby into a garbage can.
As you can imagine, there were some questions that the police had for the caller, who readily supplied the woman’s name (Nicole Marie Beecroft), how old she was (17) and where she worked (Cub Foods).
The police, following this interesting tip, contacted the manager of the Cub Foods, who related that Nicole Beecroft did, in fact work there and that she had called in sick for the last two days.
Authorities went the next step, and at 8 in the evening, showed up at Nicole Beecroft’s home, where her mother, Kari Beecroft, answered the door.
The Babysitter Killer.
He doesn’t look like a monster, but he preyed on society’s most vulnerable.
Mr. Ted Lamborgine murdered four children in the mid 1970′s, after raping them, cleaning them and feeding them – each over a span of several days.
The first child taken was Mark Stebbins, a 12-year-old who was last seen alive on February 15th in 1976. His body was found in a parking lot several days later, on February 19th. He had been raped and strangled.
The next child was 12-year-old Jill Robinson who was abducted on December 22 of 1976. She was found in a ditch off a local freeway, shot in the head.
Diego Pillco, a 19-year-old illegal immigrant from Ecuador, confessed to the killing of 40-year-old married mom and actress Adrienne Shelly, who recently wrote and directed the movie “Waitress,” starring Keri Russell and Nathan Fillion.
As he was working a construction job in her building on the 1st of November, 2006, she complained to him about the noise.
Pillco was renovating an apartment directly below the apartment that Adrienne Shelly used as an office when she came down to complain about the noise.
They began to argue, screaming at each other.
The Ecuadoran immigrant got so upset that he threw a hammer at Adrienne.
Fearing that he might be deported, he followed her upstairs when she threatened to call police.
South Africa’s most notorious serial killer, found guilty of 40 rapes and 38 murders.
His crimes were nicknamed the “ABC Murders” because they began in Atteridgeville, continued in Boksburg and ended in Cleveland.
Considered an attractive man by many women, he was able to lure many of his victims to their doom in broad daylight.
Moses Sithole was sentenced to 2410 years in prison.
There is no possibility of parole for at least 930 years.
He is incarcerated at Pretoria’s C-Max.
Pretoria is a city located in the northern part of Gauteng Province in South Africa. I would imagine it is not a nice place to be incarcerated.
This 19-year-old delivered her baby at home.
She beat on the infant.
She strangled the infant.
After the child died, Ms. Leon placed the body in a plastic tupperware-style container.
This container and its contents were found by police during a house-wide search was conducted.
Ms. Leon’s visit to a local hospital apparently alerted the staff, who immediately recognized her recent childbirth and that the possibility existed that not all was as it should be.
This charming fellow entered his boss’ ex-wife’s house at night and killed the ex-wife’s 59-year-old mother while she was babysitting her grandchildren.
After Phillip slit the elderly woman’s throat, he left her in lying on the floor of the garage in a pool of blood, to be discovered at around half past midnight by her daughter.
Phillip Zagarella tried his very best to get the daughter to come into the house, but she ran off, calling police from a neighbor’s house to let them know that a crazy guy with a rifle was in her house with her children and that he’d killed her mother.
50-year-old Phillip Zagarella barricaded himself in the family’s house for about 14 hours while police attempted to negotiate his surrender.
An obviously well-balanced 35-year-old Montgomery belle.
While arguing with her 59-year old boyfriend, George Mays, she grabbed a wooden club and beat Mays to death and then dragged the corpse into their bedroom – where it lay undisturbed for four days.
When Mays’ daughter came over to see her dad, she looked around the house after sensing that something “wasn’t quite right” with the situation.
Edwards explained that there had been an argument, probably while Mays’daughter was running out the door to call police.
Edwards has been charged with murder.
